| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Zero then heard Anya speak loud and clear to Jarreth, he was happy that she sticked for him. He also heard her yell painfully as she was attacked by Layila's wolf. He ran towards her, Anya, hey Anya, are you ok. Did Layila's wolf get you that bad. Zero stood next to her the wole time, now that Layila left. Zorgn would then have to find a way to get back at Zero. Zero was not going to be conned once more from him. He waited to hear Anya's reply to him and waited to hear Jarreth's reply to Anya. |

"By saving the monster he became one. Foolish child, your mind does not comprehend the most obvious around you. Look, look at these buildings, these walls, these bodies," Jarreth began in a deep, commanding tone. "This, this is what was saved that day. Zero tried to save a dirtied soul at the price of countless innocent ones. This city is ash because of him. This city is ash because of you." Jarreth took a step forward, his boots clanking against a torn piece of cobblestone walkway. He peered down at the girl, the one that looked so familiar in his mind's eye. He did not fully understand what she meant by a split, but it mattered not. His teeth clenched behind his helmet as he ran his fingers over the trigger of his crossbow. "Demon of a girl, you too were responsible for the death of a city, regardless of your self reflection. You have yet to atone for your own sins." Returning his left hand to his shield that was temporarily latched at his side, he picked up the metal barrier and advanced another step. Talon's flames renewed their fury as he drew closer, his eyes glimmering from the white glow. "The Lord shall grant me safe passage through this trial so that those responsible for this massacre are judged and sentenced to eternity." A white glow seemed to form around Jarreth's body as a shield of holy energy collected around him. The girl, judging by her fighting, would be little trouble. He focused his attention on Zero, slowly stepping forward. |

Anya shook her head vigerously. IT NOT MY FAULT! BLAME LAYILA! SHE'S THE DARK ONE NOT ME! I DIDN'T KILL ANY ONE...not a single soul died by my hand, its not my fault... Anya had fallen to her knees after yelling at Jarreth, she was then whispering to herself. She got a grip again and stood up, a couple tears running down her face. You want to know the truth, you need to hear it. Layila is completly evil, however as with any one else, she had goodness inside, though she refused to admit it. After destroying Taras, she had to make a choice between good and evil, she couldn't make that discision so she then had two personalities fighting for control. After trying to win we split apart. Giving life to myself, I was against everything that she did, nothing she is doing, and did in the past makes sense to me! I have vowed to kill her, and that means I have to stay alive. She knew that this was quite long winded but it needed to be told to Jarreth, she sheethed her sword. Layila is the only one that I will ever kill. She left the disicion to wheather or not she should die up to Jarreth, she hoped that he would let her live. Tears were still in her eyes, and she cringed as a mother let out a cry for her child, and the tears were released. |

Zero still stood next to her and heard every single word that came out of her mouth. He noticed that she began to cry and fell to her knee's. Zero didnt know what to do next, he wasnt sure what Jarreth would react to this and he got the thought that he didnt care, that he was still planning on Zero's death. "Hey Anya, .......get up, c'mon, please get up." Zero then noticed her get up and lecture Jarreth. The story seemed right and it wasnt Zero's fault that these people died because of him. Jarreth just didnt get the concept that Zero was not a killer, he doesnt kill anyone unless its really the right thing to do. Though he hardly ever did kill anyone, he doesnt remember himself planning a murder on someone, except Zorgn, that was just about it, other than that there really wasnt anyone else. Zero deeply sighed and stood there with Anya speechless. He would then wait to see what Jarreth would say after what Anya had to say. Though Zero did keep himself alert and wasnt planning on dying today. |

A flaming sword pointed to the distance where Layila had fled. Jarreth's raptor gaze shifted to the girl while she defended herself so vehemently. All Jarreth could do was shake his head. "Regardless of your new found detachment from your sister, it seems the same evil from the same bound soul is still running loose," Jarreth reasoned. It was true. He could still not hope to know the bounds of this situation, given his hatred for magic and magical circumstance, but the logic was sound. "You are still as guilty as she as you stand here crying and she escapes into the night. There is somewhere else for you to be, girl. There is one way to purge yourself of that evil that runs so deep. I suggest you go find her and not stop until you do. Go, now, before I change my mind." He motioned away with his sword once again. If this girl felt so righteous, he would make her prove herself. If the evil creature fell by any hand, it would be beneficial. He did not have to be that hand, so commissioning someone else would work as well. He knew that if he saw the evil girl again after this moment, he would take care of them both. "However," Jarreth continued, "Zero has only one place to be as well, and that is here. You will remain and face the trials of your sins. If you had killed that wretched creature in the forest, none of this would be happening. I suppose your mind is too wrapped in shadow to understand your responsibility, but it is not up to you to understand in finality." Jarreth's sword, which had pointed into the distance, now swung across the open air to point at Zero's chest. |

Fayt was getting tired of this nonsense between Zero and Jarreth so Fayt decided to step in, Fayt turned away from Slayer not even comeing close to paying attention to him. Fayt started walking towards Jarreth and when he was aobut ten feet away from him he shouted. "Jarreth Zero could never kill a girl no matter what, it is just somthing he will not do never!" Fayt was mad because Jarreth and Zero would not stop this, and they need to work togeather for the guilds sake and there own. "Jarreth we need to work togeather as a team, but if you will not see this and you will not accept that fact that Zero will not kill a girl then I will have to take his place and fight for him because, I know he does not want to fight somebody in his guild and definitly not somebody that is the same alignment as him." Fayt then griped his blade of air very thightly and was ready to end this between Zero and Jarreth. (OOC: I am not saying this is a dual to the death, just a dual.) |

Slayer then felt like he was being ignored and no one else seemed to take any action whatsoever, he grew bored and eventually have to leave as Fayt ignored him mainly. "Why do you even bother fighting me. Your wasting my time kid" Slayer then took off from the scene and headed to wear Layila had he took off in a sprint, as he had bettter things to do then just sit here and being ignored by such an ingrate. He was then long gone and wasnt to be seen again from the ppl that remained. |

Anya stepped between Jarreth and Zero. I won't let you kill him either! He is esentially the one who let me split from Layila, he was the one that let me out! Your being unreasonable, let Zero help me kill her, please? Let him help me do the right thing... She waited to see what Jarreth would do next, he had a few choices on how to let this end, he could kill them both, and have their blood soil his hands. He could take up Fayt's challange, or he could let them go to kill Layila. She didn't want to see any more loss tonight, and she certianly didn't want to die. |

Zero began to feel good, really good that both his friends were sticking up for him. He heard Fayt call out Jarreth to a duel and then he heard Anya say that he didnt have her permission to kill him. Zero had the best friends ever, and that nothing could stand in their ways, they were like a gang of their own. If it took all of them to get through him then they would all go through all the way as they would fight. Zero then stood there not knowing what he would do next. Would Jarreth let them go to kill Layila or would he do the other options that were mentioned by Anya. He waited there paitently just like the both of them did for a reply from Jarreth. |

Fayt was happy to have Anya on his side trying to prove Zero inneconet but Fayt knew this would not change anything he still was going to have to dual Jarreth and he did not want Zero or Ayna to interfer, "I know you are just trying to help out Ayna but please step aside, I dont not want you get in the middle of this dual and endup getting hurt. I will face Jarreth by my self without the help of you two, Im am sorry if you want to help but I cannot allow you to." Fayt then gave Jarreth a very dirty look, he was hoping that Jarreth would come to his senses and stop this nosense, but Fayt knew that was not going to happen through words. "Jarreth I ask of you agian, please stop this it is ignorent and stupid for members from the same guild to be fighting. Why wont you just leave Zero in peace and drop the whole thing?"Fayt did not want to dual his guild buddy but if he had to for his friend then he was going to. |

Jarreth watched behind his steel helmet, his eyes squinted by smoke and by annoyance. The Southlands were never truley quite right in his mind, filled with those who preferred talking over accomplishing anything productive. He noticed the city beginning to lose its appeal to some of the attackers as at least one dark figure sped away into the night. Jarreth had to remedy this tragic circumstance soon or it would be too late. For the sake of the greater good, he would have to make sacrifices. Unfortunately, that meant making an unwise decision that might haunt the dreams of countless. "Girl, I said go. I will not say it again. You may bring your precious Zero along as well, though you may run into some trouble from the creature hunting you in the building beside us. By my honor and my very soul, if I ever hear even the slightest murmer of a winged demon girl wrecking havoc on even one more person, I will slit both of your throats in your sleep. I suggest you hurry before she can no longer be tracked. If you succeed and show genuine sorrow for the lives lost at your own faults, you shall be cleansed." He pointed his sword at Zero one more time, bringing it up to eye level, to make sure that the man knew that he was being spoken to directly. He shook his head and peered at Fayt, who he had ignored until that point. Returning the dirty look, he slashed the sword across the open air to direct it at Fayt. "You stay out of this less you become involved. Make sure this city is purged of its evil assailents immediately." The ringing sound of Talon being sheathed in its scabbard resounded through the crackling noises of the burning city. Gryphon, the heavy steel shiel, was latched onto Jarreth's plate mail. His palms pressed together and his head dropped. A prayer. Low mumbling was only audible as he spoke unheard words and made several gestures with his fingers across his face and chest. After only a moment, he looked up, not to those infront of him, but to the sky. "Amen." A white flood of magic poured forth from Jarreth's chest in a geyser. His body stood frozen and shocked. It oozed out and shot out at the same time, eventually coalescing into a hazy mist. It warmed and soothed wounds, healing Anya, Fayt, and Zero of even the most trivial of injuries. Gasps of breath could be heard all around as the hundreds of dead peasents awoke from their cold bed of death. The blood was wiped clean. Jarreth had sacrificed himself for the good of the city. He now remained motionless, face down in the dirt. He rested in a pool of his own blood, it removed as a token of devotion to return the blood of the innocent back into their veins. A white column appeared over Jarreth's body that seemed to reach to the stars. It surrounded him and him only, a piercing shard in the darkness. With a flash, it was gone, but something more spectacular remained. Standing between Jarreth's nearly-destroyed body and his potential enemies, a lone woman stood tall with a glare of warning. She was gorgeous, absolutely elegant and divine. Angel wings were spread outward at their full glory. One hand remained behind her back, possibly hiding something from view. She did not appear willing to let anyone come near the fallen knight.

Anya took a step towards the angel, she was ready to ask a question of her but, hung her head. She turned to Zero. Would you help me find and kill my sister? She looked back at the angel but quickly turned her head to Zero again, waiting for his reply. |

Zero was happy to hear that Jarreth would let him go with Anya and head off to kill Layila, Zero would not kill Layila but would be happy to stand aside and let Anya kill her, let her suffer, die by her hand. However Zero did not like to see or hear that Jarreth was sacrificing his life. He would do anything to bring him back. But by then it was too late, and both Anya and Fayt would not approve of this, as they had to head off already to thier destinations. He looked at Anya straight into her eyes and heard her speak to Zero. Zero answered back with a-"Yes Anya, I will, I will help you out in any way possible BUT I will not be the one to bring her to death, I will most certainly step aside and let you kill her, finish her, as I stated earlier that I am not a killer. Together all three of us will take her down." As Jarreth lay there, Zero thanked him for cleansing all three of them, but wasnt sure to say it to his body lieying there or to say this to the angelic entity that stands where he remains. "Fayt please come with us. We both need you to come and search for Layila and the other one that left your battle with him." Zero smiled at him and turned his head to look at Anya once more. "Thank you Anya.....for sticking up for me. I appreciate it." Zero then sheathed his sword in and prepared to take off to reach their destinations. Zero then waited to hear the complements and the answer from both Fayt and Anya. Zero didnt want to leave Jarreth by himself lying there, but there was really nothing Zero could do, with him knowing that the angelic being would not tolerate any single person present near him. "C'mon guys lets go, we need to go after Anya's sister and make sure that we take her down. C'mon lets go! Before she strikes and we really dont need more upcoming deaths. She couldnt have gotten that far so all we have to do is fly and search." Zero then grabbed Anya's hand and waited for Fayt as well so they could find her. He looked into Anya's eyes "Are you ready? Cause I am." He waited for an answer. They would soon head off to kill their target. Zero looked back once more to see the angelic being just standing there with her hand behind her. He looked back ahead to where they needed to be at, waiting for them to depart. |

" Why did you have to kill yourself, why Jarreth. Fayt did not want Jarreth to die, but he also knew that he was not dead for good and that he would be back somehow. " I know that you will be back someday Jarreth and I only hope that you and Zero can get along when you do." Fayt had said to the now dead Jarreth. Fayt then looked Zero in the eyes and told him "Yes I will go with you to kill her sister, If I have to I have no problem killing her so if either you cannot do it then I will. Fayt then closed his eyes and a pair of white wings came out of his back, but it hurt Fayt kind of badly because this was his first time to ever bring his wings out of his body, because his celestial had finley goten strong enough to give him wings. "Crap this hurts, it's the first time I have ever got out my wings from my celestial." Fayt had told Zero and Anya. Fayt then took flight into the air and flew around in circles getting use to his wings, after he thought he was use to them he started flying in the direction Layila had went. |
