| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Azurik sat on the dock staring into sun. He had his arms crossed and was leaning on his lap. The wind blew gently. The cool wind felt good against him. For once he had gotten his mind of fighting, death, and other things. He wanted to know more about things though. He wanted to be able to learn more about this world. The magics it held, the tresures it possesed, the hidden crypts, the lost heros. It was noon and it was getting dark. It seemed to get dark very slwoly. The sun hardly ever moved. Looking out, he could see birds flying towards the sun. It was a beautiful sight. His mind raced with questions unansweared. The world seemed to of stopped. Wierd. Letting out a sigh he looked down at the water. He saw his reflection. Someone known in this city for being a legend. It was another depressing day. Nothing new nothing old. It seemed as if the world never changed ofr him. This world was just passing Azurik up. Thinking of his ancestors before him. Many were heros. Heros of light. Azurik was no paladin. He had no skill in swords, but that seemed to be his only weapon. He had no magic, so he couldnt train on that. Maybe something good would happen to Azurik. He smiled and let out a small chuckle. "Wow," he thought, "This world is passing me by. I have no time to do anything.". Looking around, a few people stood. Mostly talking. He hopped off and grabed on to the dock. Pulling him self up, he got up and walked towards the streets. People looked at him. They knew who he was. They either smiled or gave a wave. He would smile, nod, and continue with what he was doing. Heading towards the entrance, he overheard the guards talking. "Have you heard? There is something strange going on at the docks." one said. "Ya. I heard there is something evil lurking in the water." the other said. When Azurik heard this, he all the sudden knew what he was to do now. He was to find out what this creature was and destory it at all cost. Sneaking behind the wall, he ran into someone. Falling down, he quickly said excuse me. He couldnt see them because he had closed his eyes. |

Raine's bottle of wine, recently purchased from the elfsong, spilled on his chest as he sprayed outa fine mist in suprise. He looked down at the man, and held out a hand. "You okay? You really should'nt eavesdrop like that; it'll get'cha in trouble." He smelled the odor of his drink all over him and winced. "But uh...neither was I, so don't ask me nothin." He looked past the man, at the setting sun. A dark red haze was cast over all of Taras, giving it a beautiful glow. He walked over to a wooden pole with ropes tied to the bottom, attached to some unknown object at the bottom of that mysterious ocean. He has been in and out of Taras for ages, knowing some and known to more. But hasn't heard of a 'sea-monster' for ages. He looked over his shoulder at the man with a smirk. "So what do you think is down there?" |
