Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Tanin walked off the ship. The cool breeze and warm weather was nice. Tanin was a High Elf from another land far from here. He had been seeking a way out of his land since the attack from the demons. His father, Leader of the army, shut the abyass with his own life. Reckless damage destoried off half the lands. It left the elves without half there houses, cattle, food, and storage. Tanin was hidden under his brown cloak. He was hiding from people he had never met before. This new land was great. Maybe now Tanin would make new friends and maybe even be able to join the army of this land. Tanin was a great swordsmen. He had carried his one he had gotten in the beggining of his life. Tanin's dad was named the hero of the kingdom, but was destoried. People knew that he would do a good deed someday, just nobody knew when. The priest of the town was highly sad, but cheerful for the stop of the attacks. about half of the elven population was destoried, but saved for generations. When Tanin and the rest of them had heard of his victory, they took Tanin and walked him down the street's of the Kingdom behind the many other warriors that had fought in the war. Rose petal droped from the stands of where the people stood to watch him pass. They marched him into the castle, where he would knighted for many genrations to pass. Tanin was excited, but sad at the same time.

Tanin walked into the street's of this new place. It seemed as if he was back in his old Kingdom. The street's shined with beauty, and the glorious sun shined its light upon the world. Tanin had never had a thought for evil. He slayed the creatures of dark as they came. Strangely, the town seemed to be heavely populated. He guessed that many people loved it here. There crouds of people everywhere. He saw some priest walk down with there staves. A couple of knights and swordsmen walked down the street. "They must be the imperials. Better keep myself out of trouble until i know this land better" he thought. Tanin continued down the street's looking for a place to sleep.

As Jordan is walking down the docks, he sees someone who looks about as lost as he. This someone, of course, looked to be a High Elf, probably an outcast however, and Jordan didn't particularly like outcasts. Jordan had only visited the lands of the High Elves once, for only several weeks, so he was no expert on their culture. The Elves had had met had called him Windrider, in their language. Their was no guarantee this High Elf was of the same group, however. Even so, it was refreshing to meet someone else who seemed as lost in this busy city as he was. And so, Jordan let down his hood and approached the High Elf.
"Hello, stranger. You look about as lost as I do, here. Maybe we can help each other out. I'm known here as Jordan, though the High Elves in a land far off once called me Windrider. What do you say?"

Tanin attention was drawn to a srange man walking up to him. Tanin didnt know who this man was, but he seemed to be of some use. "Hello Jordan. Please, call me Tanin Hawkwing. Yes i am lost im afriad." he said. Tanin had already had a offer by someone to help him. Strange. Many people thought they found there away around as soon as they steped foot in the town. That wasnt true. This man named "Jordan" seemed to be strange. He looked at him again an turned away from him. Truely he knew already that Tanin was a High Elf. Tanin's cloak was made out the fabric many people use in his lands. The cloak tied around his chest with a small ruby placed in the middled holding it togather. Tanin looked at Jordan again. "Would you probley be able to show me the a tavern of some sort? I need somewhere to stay untill i can finally travel out to somewhere new." he said. Tanin smiled. The cloak smelled of raw leather. It was soft and warm though. He sighed. The cool breeze turned into a chilly wind and the sun slowly lost its heat. Tanin needed to find a inn.

Jordan studied the man, he seemed very inquisitive, and yet not very strong willed. Jordan began to doubt he really was an outcast; if he was, he would probably be much more violent and mad about his excursion. But even so, Tanin seemed like a person to meet.
"Fortunately for both of us, I heard of a tavern called the "Song of Elves" while on the boat. It should be right over there."
Jordan points down a brightly lit, wide path just a short distance away.
"Of course, that is only a guess, really, but that path does seem to fit the description I heard of the area it is in. If you wish, I could join you on our way there."

Tanin looked down the road. He saw people walking in and out with bags. Some even walked out with animals. He looked at jordan and smiled. "Thank you Jordan. Yes, you may follow me. I could sue some company for the time being." he said. He grabed Jordans wrist and Tanin led him. Jordan was considered a friend now. Tanin led him down the path to "Elf Song". He could almost feel that he was close to somewhere he could stay at. He relized that he had made the right choice in coming here.
