Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

The smile slid from Lamya's face. "I offer you shelter, safety, and companionship and you refuse?!" Lamya's eyes turned dark and the cloud surrounding her seemed to suck the very life from those around her. "Why you little ingrate!" Lamya stood up violently and her chair toppled over with a loud clanging noise. All eyes turned to her. She tried to relax the tension from her shoulders but her body was unmoving. Her eyes glazed with hatred for the tiny boy. The once whisper was now a scream in her skull. "KILL HIM!" Lamya could take it no more. She ran out of the Inn and onto the rain drenched streets. Her feet slide out from under her and she hit the solid ground with a thump. All went dark.

Fable stood up and backed away. He saw that the people seemed to die slowly. Fable looked at her. He was scared now. Fable pulled his sword out and waited to see what she did. Fable saw her run out. He followed her and heard a noise. He ran out and saw her on the ground. He shiethed the sword and ran over to her. He lifted her head up. "Are you ok?!" he asked. He was scared of what he done. She may of died. Fable knew he shouldnt of said that out loud. Fable was not sure what would happen if he found she was dead. Tears slowly filled his eyes. This was his fault. "Please wake up! Dont be dead please wake up!" Fable cried, "I didnt mean it that way! I will join you, i was just telling myself something.". He waited to see if she was dead or alive.

The soft, caring voice of the small boy reached her ears. She could not remember where she was or why her head seemed to be hurting so much. Slowly the fog seemed to lift and she felt herself being tossed forward into the present. Her eyes blinked open.

Her head was in Fable’s hands and she felt warm. Then the blackness rushed back in and commanded her to get up and away from the boy. Startled, she jumped up too quickly and spots danced in her vision. She swayed for a moment and almost felt like she would be sick. She choked down the sickness and glanced around hoping for some sort of escape.

She could not understand her need to get away from the boy, but it was something she could not fight. She saw a horse nearby and ran too it as quickly as she could. Without saddling it, she jumped onto its bare back. It had been awhile since she had ridden upon a horse and the horse dismissed her as if she were simply a fly.

“Giddup!” She kicked its sides and it turned its head and glared at her while still chewing upon a piece of grass. She grew angry and began to beat at it with her fist. It reared up and threw her off its back. For the second time that day, she landed on the hard ground. But this time she did not pass out. Her eyes glazed over, emotionless, and she turned back to the boy. “You have won the battle, but you will never win the war!” It seemed she was speaking to the boy but she was actually yelling at the voice inside her head.

Fable was clueless to why she said that. He walked over to her and put his hand out. He was going to help her up. "I will join you. I have nowhere else to go and i need a good adventure. Please, let me join you." he said. Fable had a smile on his face. He hoped he hadnt made her to mad that she wouldnt let him join her. Fable would be happy if she did let him, but Fable could already feel she wouldnt. Fable would learn in time from her, but he felt a dark anger upon her. She followed a God or Goddesses, Fable could tell. Fable didnt care, he just needed someone to join.

Lamya shook herself and replaced her grim look with a devious smile. "I am glad you have decided to accept." Some might believe that everything she had just displayed was to 'charm' the young boy into joining her. But sometimes Lamya wasn't in control and only a few moments before, the demon had taken over. Lamya would never know what the demon's intentions were. "Shall we go then? Or perhaps you would like to eat dinner first? Although, I believe we have might quite the commotion here and would do better to just leave. She accepted his hand and pulled herself up using his weight. Then she dusted off her clothes and glanced around to see if any were staring.
