| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Lamya walked into the Green Gryphon, her head bowed to the floor. Her black cloak hung limply from her small shoulders and the hood covered her face. She finally raised her head and her brillant blue eyes were clouded with an evil tint. She slowly walked towards a booth far in the back where she could observe her surroundings. A woman began to walk up to her but sensing her evil presence, quickly turned and jogged away. Lamya smiled from under the cloak. She had no intentions of making small talk that night. She was in need of an adventure, one that would hopefully pay. She smirked and rested her pale hands on her lap. |

Fable sat at his table. He always sat there. People would never sit there. It was as if there was something there that belonged to Fable. Fable was drinking a mug of water. He saw the new person walk in. He tried to look happy, but he failed in doing it. He looked around to see if anyone else noticed. No one. They didnt care much about new people, but Fable did. He wanted to get to know more people better, Even thought people find it wired. Fable stared at the person. He then lost his attention and looked back at the fire. Fable was warm from the fire. The smell of candles fill the tavern. Fable's life was interesting now that he was on his own. He was able to go anywhere he wanted. Once he got a horse, he would travel to Talas and see what happened there. Fable loved dogs. He always wished he had one. He didnt really like felines that much though. Fable looked back at the new comer and smiled. |

You noticed a guy with a hat. He walked in and and looked around... "Anyone need a horse? Found this horse just outside... I am selling it for 120gp." After that he walked out and checked other areas... |

Lamya turned her eyes onto the occupants of the Inn. They would be laughing and smiling with their partners when Lamya’s cold glare would turn their way and almost instantaneously, they would turn a pallid color. A few even got up to move away from her as if she held some sort of disease. The growing evil within her made her susceptible for such attitudes. Then her eyes met that of a little boy’s. He smiled her way and she felt a slight warmth stirring within her. It was immediately wisped away with the cold whisper of the demon that lived within her. “Becoomming soffft arree weee? Gooo too him. Maake himm yourrrs.” Lamya unsuccessfully tried to quiet the voice within her. Finally, being unable to stand it any longer, she got up and slowly sauntered towards the small boy. |

Fable was now dead stareing at her. He had senced something not right with her. She seemed as though she had been hearing voices. Fable tried to kill his stare, but he couldnt. All he could do was blink. Fable felt a soft cold drift go down his spine. Fable was kind of scared now. Who was she? He kept asking himself that question over and over again. Fable felt the cold drift go away as he began to regain himself. He then quickly looked back at the fireplace, hoping that she wouldnt harm him. He had probley stared to much now. Fable took a sip from his water and put it back. Fable tried to think of happy thoughts, but dark ones filled him. Nothing was the same anymore. It was as if she had cleared his mind of all good thoughts, and slowly gave him bad ones. Fable could see himself becomeing killed. Fable quickly erased that thought and turned around away from the fire, and found himself looking back at her. |

The closer she got the more it seemed the boy was staring. Which wasn't unusual in its self but it was more the way he was staring at her. It could almost be said he knew something was different about her. Lamya tried to smile as the voice grew louder in her mind. She finally reached his table and held out a shakey hand. "Hello. I am Lamya. What's your name?" She tried to make her voice chirpy but it came out almost as a growl. She couldn't control the evil that was taking over her. Without asking, she sat down across from her and took over her cloak so the boy could see her eyes. At that moment, they flashed a reddish color, and then her eyes were clear blue again. She wondered if he had seen it. She didn't want to scare him off before she was done with him. |

Fable didnt trust her. He didnt mind her sitting down across from him. Fable felt a burst of courage and then he regained himself as a normal person. Fable looked at her and said, "I am Fable.". Fable looked at the table and wondered for a second or two and lifted back up. He saw a flash of red go through her eyes. Strange. He had his attention towards her now. She was not human nor elf. She was something a whole lot differnt. Fable put his hands on the table and stared. He couldnt help it now. He had to find out what she was doing and what she was. For all Fable knew, this could be a trap. |

"So what is a boy, such as yourself, doing in a place like this all alone?" She was beginning to dislike the way the boy was looking at her. It almost seemed as if he could sense her intentions. But she wasn't doing the best she could to cover them up. It had been hard ever since the demon had begun to take over. She just hadn't gotten used to Charna yet. Charna was a Erinyes demon which was most closely related to a succubus. Lamya had been chosen to host the demon and soon it would combine with her soul and become a part of her. Already a strange marking was beginning to appear on her lower stomach. It was in the shape of some ancient demonic symbol. |

Fable slamed his head on the table. He had to stop looking at her or she may kill him. She was evil, Fable knew that now. Fable looked back up at her, stareing again. "Please excuse me for my stareing, ma'am. I live in this town. My parents died along time ago...". Fable hoped she would let him off easy and not harm him. She was demon infused. He could tell. Fable was now afraid of her. Fear had hardly overcame him. Fable smiled and took a drink of his water. Fable looked back down at the fire in hopes that she would understand why he was here. After all, its no Fable's fault his parents died. |

Perhaps if Lamya had not been a cold-hearted evil elf, she might have felt a tingle of sympathy. Or maybe even a connection for her parents had also died, or so she believed. But the demon within her didn’t allow her to feel practically anything. She forced a smile. “So does that mean you’re all alone in this big world? No place to go? No family to see?” A thought was forming in her head. It would be such a waste to kill off the boy for no reason, no that was pointless. But perhaps she could mold him into her own little minion. Yes. That’s what she would do. |

Fable turned his head to the fire. He felt strange in a way. Something was not right with Fable. Fable looked back at her. His smile slowly faded away. He looked at her like she was tortureing him in some way. Fable looked down at the table and said "No. No family, no place, no nothing. I thought about leaveing for Talas, but my horse died and i havent enough to get a new one. It looks as if i am stuck here for the rest of my life.". Fable looked back up. He looked as normal as ever could be. He had a smile. He started to wonder about this girl though. "Why did she ask me that?" He wondered. |

The answer she was hoping for. "Oh that's really too bad. How would you like to keep me company? We can adventure together and I promise to keep you well fed." Her face brightened into a smile. Her soul had finally let go and was replaced with a new, and evilly improved Lamya. She would teach the boy the way of the dark side. He would prove to be very valuble to her. His honest look, his caring eyes, everything that could be used to her advantage. Perhaps she would grow to even...like the boy. But all of that would come in time. She waved the barmaid over who looked curiously at them. She ordered a mug of ale for herself and asked the boy what he wanted. |

A man entered... "Is Fable here? Seems time I had a chat with him... I knew his father, but little about him. Seems he left a gift as he passed away." Not knowing fable, he looked around and hoped someone would answer... |

Fable looked at her. He didnt know what to do now. He was stuck in options. Yes or no. Fable looked down into the water. He only saw his reflection. Fable began to lift his head. He didnt want to make her mad in anyway. He looked up at her and said, "no...". He just seemed to stare at her. He would have to make tough discussions in his life. This one didnt seem to hard to make. He was happy that someone would take care of him now. Fable began think if he had done something wrong. Could he be joining someone dark? Or could they be training towards the light. All of this, he would soon find out. |
