| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Fable walked around the town well for several hours. When his parents died, They left him on his own. He is only fourteen years old and lives by a sword. His father was a swordsmen and his mother was a archer. Strange how it was between them. They were both called out to war, but they had sent a message back to Fable saying that both his parents had died. Fable is never liked the town he lived in. Almost everyone knew him and nothing excited happened hardly expect when the merchants of other villages and places come. He is friends to one o the merchants son's that comes around every so often. His name is Ebony. Fable only likes to call him Eb though. Fable missed his parents everyday of his life. People took care of him. They would drop food, clothing, or whatever else they could spare him. Most was food and clothes and maybe a spear or sword. Fable knew that one day, he would have a adventure that would last him a life time. He would sit at home and read a book by the warm open fireplace. He had always waited for his parents before he had gotten the message. Fable had blue eyes. His hair color was blonde. Fable had gotten the hair from his father and eyes from his mother. Fable had a brother at one time, but he had gotten killed due to murder. They found the person who did kill him and hung him at the gallows just east of town on a small hill. Fable spent most of his town at the Green Gryphon. He would listen to the stroies and lore the bards had to share. Sometimes he would hear rumors of golden knight or legendary weapons or armor spread out across the land. Fable spent lots of his time there, drinking a water near the warm lit fireplace. Some people thought Fable was still getting over his depression. Others thought that since his brother had died, he had never been the same. His brother hated Fable because he had always gotten attention. His brother went out in the streets and was murdered. But all in all, Fable was still young, and he had alot to learn. |

Rith came to Kellen in his casual disguise of Peral Forbus. Rith used this disguise to gain knowledge of major and minor happenings in the village. The information usual depended on what the people he spoke to thought to as important. It was in the midst of his work that he heard word an unfortunate boy named, Fable. Rith made the woman elaborate more on what she knew of this child. Rith liked what he heard, Fable seemed to be one who could be shaped to work for Rith. Fable wanted things Rith could offer, and Rith would be sure he made this offer. He paid the woman larger tip than he usualy did. He felt in a reasonably good mood. Not only had the woman given him useful information on a few items Rith had need of, but she had given the valuable information of a possible new recruit. Rith walked towards the Green Gryphon, his extravagant cane striking the ground at every other step. He stoped infront of the door of the tavern and adjusted his monocle slightly. He pushed open the door and entered the tavern. The Light of the candles played upon his expensive clothes that adequately matched his clack top hat that rested upon his messy short black hair. Rith disguise made him seem no longer like a human child, but rather a mature gnome. Rith's ice blue eyes scanned the room for the boy the woman had described earlier. It was not long before he caught sight of the boy. He was by the fireplace and sipping a from a glass, just as the woman said he was likely to be found. Her description of Fable physcial was pretty good. Rith wondered if he should have paid the talkitive woman more for her words as he slowly walked to Fable's table. "Dear Lad, Do you mind if I have a minute of your time?" Rith smiled as he touched the chair opposite of Fable with his hand. |

Fable's Attention was drawn away from the fireplace towards the man. He didnt know who this man was, but he nodded anyway. Fable looked back at the fireplace and wondered into his thoughts. The warmness of the fireplace made him think of good thoughts. The smell of crisp drunkerd air filled the room. Fable had been here all his life, and never before has anyone asked him that question. The man looked very strange. He looked as if he was a wizard of some sort. Fable saw the light gleam off him almost as if he were a window. Fable had some love for magic. He prefered more of Swords and Bows more then magic. Fable had been wanting learn some magic, but after his trainer moved away to the city of Talas, he had no one to train with. It seemed as if this village was falling apart. as if the whole world was ending at this very moment. Fable had looked down at the ground. Being fourteen with no parents was hard. Choping firewood just to keep warm. Sometimes, Fable would work at the near blacksmith for some money. Fable loved this village. He would hate to see it be attacked by orcs or dark creatures. Fable turned around and looked at the man. Fable wanted to ask him some questions, but maybe he had something in store for him. Maybe he was just turning the page to Fable's life. |

Rith smiled and sat the the boys nod. He wondered what thoughts held this boys mouth mute. He could see in fable's face that the child seemed to want to ask something. He wondered if the boy would ask the question when given the time. "Good," Rith replied as he took the seat he had put his hand on. He popped his top hat with his cane and the hat flipped into the air. After falling gently upon the table, gold and several shiny gems bounced out of the hat and then fell back into the hat. Rith stared at the Hat for a moment. He could have sworn he had removed that illusion, but now was not the time to make sure the job was tooken care of. He turned his eyes to Fable as he laid the cane beside his chair. He adjusted his monocle before speaking. " A good evening to you, dear lad. I am Peral Forbus. Your name is Fable, isn't it dear lad? I have heard a good bit about you. Before I tell my tale do you have any questions to ask of me? I am told my stories flush out all other thoughts. If you have no questions then please tell me if you have heard stories of te miracle worker of Cascadia?," Rith smiled as he skimmed over Fables thoughts as they formed. Rith's mind had already started to form a way to make good use of hisknowledge of the child. |

Fable couldnt think of anything. He just wondered why this man was here. Maybe he was going to help him. Maybe he was here just to tall tales of his adventures. Fable turned around faceing him, and looked stright at him. Fable smiled and wondered what he was about to talk about. He had already learned how to deal with emotions, life's problems, and everything else. Most of all he needed to learn about the history of this world. Fable never really paid attention to the history of the world. "Yes, my name is Fable." he said. He wondered how he had gotten his name right. Something was very mysterious here. |
