Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Raine opened the door of the tavern to find it exactly as it was the last he had visited. How long has it been... The smell of wine and meat, wood and steel. The talk of a thousand tounges...too many languages blurred together in the merriment. Memories...meeting new allies in the darkness of the corner...drunken children passing out at my feet (true...)...too many to tell. He sat up at the counter and ordered some ale...all he needed to lift his spirits. He stared at the empty stool next to him, remembering the times...

Ranewen made her way into the tave rn and looked around. A few people looked up at started whispering about her - the new Goddess. She frowned and shot them an eivl glare. Don't mess with me... she thought and provoked them silently. Go ahead and try and see if your comments insult me. They make me feel stronger. She just smirked and sat down lazily at a chair at one of the only open tables with no one at it. She ordered herself some ale and a few of the disguised Vampires looked over at her and seemed to smile. She didn't see them, however, and she looked elsewhere in the tavern, wondering why in the world she was there. She yawned slightly and waited for a while before her glass came. She took it greedily - almost - and took a sip from it as the barmaid went away, without charging her. She smirked and then leaned back in her chair once more, looking around.

As he took a swig, he felt an uneasy force enter through the doors. Looking behind him as foam ran down his chin while chugging the last of his drink, he saw a tall, dark (but beautiful), evil-looking vampire enter and sit down. He was curious by her appeal( and how everyone stared...). As she ordered a drink, he ripped a piece of cloth from a napkin and stuck it in his mouth, chewing. She was sitting facing away from him as he took the ball out of his mouth, threw it at her, and quickly turned around, talking to a total stranger. He looked over his shoulder with a smirk, waiting for effect.

Master Ace slowly walked into the tavern. It was not long before he spotted a familiar figure that seemed to be the ceter of most disscussion in the tavern as several eyes turned and then rushed away. Her long dark hair. Her pale skin. Ace knew she was familiar to him in some way, but did not know. He had no idead who she was. Ace brushed aside his green bangs and walked to an empty seat near her. He watched as a man threw a slobbery ball of cloth at the woman. She did not seem like one who would take it too well. Ace stopped in his tracks wondering what the woman would do.

The ball hit Ranewen in the back of the neck and she angrily spun around. She just caught a few of his stands moving, but she thought it just might be from talking to his "friend", in her eyes. She shrugged and turned back around. If they wish to make fun of me for my alignment, then so be it. She shook her head back and forth and looked secretively out of the corner of her eye. She had he rtelkinesis spell ready just in case she saw one coming back at her. Her hair fell in front of her face, which made it seem like she was turned the other way. But she could see slightly between her black hair and she just watched silently, waiting for someone to throw it again. Her eyes darted form side to side, almost expecting to get hit again. Who cares what others think? They can laugh at me all they want. They just may not wake up in the morning, that's all...

Raine did not hate anyone, for any reason. As soon as he threw it a familia( green) face entered the door, though he could not remember from where. He readied another ball, knowing he was just having some fun. He did'nt know what she felt, but hopefully it was not hate. But after thinking about it, he felt guilty. He put down the spitball. "Bartender, get that lovely lady over there a drink", he said, pointing to the vampire. The bartender hesitated. Looking around, He remembered the familiar face. He threw the ball at him. "Join me for a drink?"

Ranewen's drink was delivered by the barmaid and she frowned, wondering where it had come from. It wasn't a forwn of being displeased, but one of thought and surprise. She shrugged her shoulders and looked around and saw a man that threw another ball. She shrugged her shoulders and turned back around, not seeing Ace. She yawned lightly and stretched and poured the one drink into the less empty cup and drank from that one. She had only ale now and she was satisfied with that. The Elfsong Tavern had nice-tasting drinks and the such. She just smiled and gulped it all down, looking around again, hearing her name in conversations. She just shrugged, wondering if they were talking about her in a positiver way, or in a negative way.

(Green hair, normal colored face)
Master Ace watched as she did nothing to the man who had suddenly and seemingly broke into convrsations with someone who did not seem to be paying any attention at all. Ace watched as the man sat down his disgusting spitball and ordered a drink for the women who seemed so familiar to Ace. He had at one point knew her, but a recent loss of memory had made him forget many parts of his life. Ace was almst caught offguard as the playful man threw the spitball at him. A quickened telekinesis was an easy solution to the problem. The ball stopped a few feet in front of Ace. Some how this childish act reminded him of someone, but he was sure he was un familiar with this man. "I think that is not the best way to get one's attention," Ace said as the ball fell harmlessly to the floor. As approached the empty seat between them his eyes continuing to looook at Rae, though he knew it would be best to keep both eyes on the trickster.
