| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Oppel walked into the Green Gryphon, not in the best of moods. A celestial had visited his temple, and accused him of being an evil god. Oppel did not take kindly to this, and wondered why the celestial had even bothered visiting on a note that was sure to upset him. A while after arguing with the celestial, Oppel walked out of his own temple and left the celestial to his cockiness that enforced the side of good. In frustration, Oppel wanted to vent his anger, not knowing why he was called evil in the first place. He had never killed the innocent, but the celestial did mention something about how Oppel himself wouldn't know it. But perhaps he shouldn't of been told this, as it showed a whole new side of him. The Inn was full of life that night, with men drinking and bards playing. A truly enjoyable night, be it not for the run-in with the celestial. He walked up to the bar, and ordered some wine from the barkeep. The barkeep, noticing who it was, whispered to others in the bar that the god of nature was sitting before him. It was obvious he didn't want Oppel to know this, but he obviously didn't think much of Oppel's perception skills. The barkeep returned with Oppel's wine, and Oppel grabbed the wine without a thanks. The barkeep gave Oppel a smug look, and spoke harshly, "Hey! Now that was uncalled for." Oppel looked up at the barkeep, and spoke, "Hm... tell me barkeep, do you know the god of nature as an evil man?" He questioned rather rhetorically. "Um No." "Well perhaps you should." returned Oppel. On that note, he pulled his throwing daggar from his garments and drove it through his abdomen. The barkeep's eyes opened in shock, as a red stain formed around the daggar that petruded his body upon the white shirt he wore. Oppel pulled the daggar from the barkeep's stomach, and the barkeep grabbed his abdomen in pain. Oppel looked at the dying man, and noticed that others had noticed this act. Oppel sighed, as he saw several man stand from tables throughout the room, carrying an assortment of weapons. It was going to be an interesting night. |

Skorne watched the proceedings from the back of the bar, interested that they God of Nature would cruelly kill an innocent man. Perhaps this was the beginning of a change in Oppel, then again, he thought, maybe not. Nature has been known to be cruel at times, perhaps this was just the opposite side of nautre, the mean part that will destroy a man. Skorne watched as several people stood up and drew their weapons, almost laughing at the sight. These foolish people actually believed they could beat a god. It was so stupid it was amusing. Skorne walked forward slowly, elbowing people out of his way. Some of the people turned with a sharp comment on their lips, but thought better about what they were going to say when they saw the look in Skorne's eyes. He had decided to become involved in the change in Oppel, and no mortal would stand in his way. "Well, Oppel, that wasn't very nice. Very unexpected of you, I approve of what you have done." Skorne smiled at the shocked looked of the people in the bar, they had thought he was going to try and fight Oppel. He drew his scimitar and held it easily in his right hand, watching for any sign of movement from the people around him. He smiled at Oppel, approving of the change that had occured. "So Oppel, was this an expension of pent up anger, or are you really becoming evil? I find it difficult to believe that you are evil, from all the wonderufl stories that I have heard of you." |

Master Ace and Reis were talking calmly, until the tavern fell deadly silent as Oppel stabbed The barttender and undoubtedly killed him. the tavern then broke it to random outburst. People screamed and ran out of the tavern, but many foolishly drew their weapons and moved in closer to Oppel. Reis eyes could not blieve this she had meant to visit the God's temple later, but now she wondered if she wanted to do that. Master Ace wondered if this dark nature in Oppel was caused by the death of Marlon. They were all the way at the back of the tavern and could no longer see Oppel anymore. Reis was about to say that they should leave immediately, but the exit was clogged with people attemptin to make there escape. Master Ace prepared himself to defend himself and Reis. He knew there would be little to be done if they themselves were targetted, but Oppel's focus would be those moving in on him although Oppel's powers could undoubtedly make their way to Reis and Ace. |

Oppel slightly glanced at the man talking to him. He lightly rolled his eyes to himself, knowing that he was about to deal with some upset people and didn't have the time to stop and chat. "Who knows." He responded rather harshly. Oppel held his right hand out to his side, and summoned Seorsa through the powers of nature. A green light appeared in is hand, and formed into his double-bladed staff nearly instantly. Looking over at the door, Oppel noticed the amount of people that tried to squeeze through the exit. Oppel smirked, and raised his left hand in the air. This motion seemed to cause a mount of dirt from the ground outside the tavern to form, thus blocking the exit. The people who carried weapons seemed to get even angrier over this act, and one man came close behind Oppel within range to make a deadly attack. Though, shadowdancing gave him an interesting ability. The man behind him was easily sensed, and Oppel sensed his motions in his mind as he watched the motion of the men before him. The man behind Oppel raised his sword, as if to make a deadly downward swipe, thinking that Oppel still did not know of his presence. Though hw was of course wrong. Oppel quickly spun around and hit the man that attempted to kill him in the side. The man called out in pain, and the men now behind Oppel called out in anger. Oppel pulled the double-bladed staff from the mans side, and quickly spun the staff letting the other end catch the man in the neck. He fell to the ground, and Oppel turned to see three man standing around him. One carried an axe, and the other two carried a sword. He sighed to himself, and the man with an axe lunged at him. Oppel quickly cast Oaken Fury, and a green vine wrapped itself around his body. He used his staff and before the axe wielding man could even see what was happening, Seorsa pierced through his stomach. Oppel pulled the staff from his stomach, and repelled an attack brought on by another man. He certainly had a lot to deal with, but he did not question his own abilities. |

Skorne stepped back out of the way, avoiding Oppel so as not to be on the receiving end of the God's attack. He went back to where he had been sitting, settling in for a good view of the fight. So far, Oppel was cleaning house, it was so funny that these mortals thought they could harm Oppel. Skorne turned away from the fighting for an instant, looking to see who else was joining the fight. It was then that he noticed Ace sitting at a table. He didn't know who that was sitting with him, but he decided to go over and have a nice chat. Skorne stood up and swiftly walked over, he nodded to Ace and his friend before speaking. "So Ace, how had your life been? It's been an interesting night so far hasn't it?" He wondered if Ace would even remember him, it had been so long ago since he had healed Skorne. Out of respect for that act, he wasn't going to harm Ace, but he wans't going to help him either. |

Reis was shocked when The god blocked the exit with a block of dirt. Dark thought came to her mind. Had she just been released of several to die at the hands of a god, whose postion was once thought so grand byy reis. She had prayed to the old god of Nature and had even been graced with his prescence. If she knew that Sargoth was out to harm Ace, it might have given her a heart attack in addtion to this new event. She had been around when Pelor was a god and was on good terms with him as one might say. She would not believe that two gods held highest to her had darkened hearts. Reis watched the god in horror, paying little attention to Skorne. Master Ace watched the man approach them. He instantly recognized him. He did not care that He came over to talk. There was no exit and no point in fighting oppel. "Skorne? Life his been good until now I suppose. I finnaly found my mother with a litte bit of help, " Master ace managed to say cassually. "What have you been up to lately?" |

The man now attacking Oppel did not seem to be a weak man at all. Oppel repelled and deflected several of the man's attacks, but refused to return a deadly blow at the moment. He was interested in seeing what this man had in store for him, but it was nothing to extroardinary. Another attack by the man left his side open, and Oppel swung at it quickly. Though, he smacked him with part of the staff as opposed to the blade. This sent him towards the ground. The man attempted to get up, but a green ball of Nature's force flew into his chest. He called out in pain, and Oppel watched as a woman got up and ran over to aid him. Two more men got up to try to stop Oppel, and they were rather large men. Instead of fighting them, Oppel spotted the man that was talking to him earlier and used blink to teleport over to him. He was now talking with someone that Oppel recognized. "Either fear me, or help me." He spoke to the three people next to him. "But choose quickly." He used blink once more, and teleported behind the bar. He retrieved the daggar from his garments once more and pierced several holes in the barrels of alcohol all around him. In an instant, he cast Nature's Fire. With the aid of the alcohol, the fire spread rather quickly. Though to its ability, it did not harm any of the furniture or the foundation itself. Only the people that screamed loudly in horror. Oppel smirked, and using his hand hopped up and over the bar. The held up his staff, and it disappeared with the same flash of light as when it appeared in the first place. Now, he summoned Malorn's Bow of Hope. The name of the bow, did not really suit the situation at all. Oppel pulled the cloak off his back, to show the quiver slung over his back. He pulled an arrow from the quiver and placed it in the bow, prepared to use it at any time. |

Skorne looked back at Oppel fighting, watching with amusement as he spread fire throughout the bar. He slowly drew his fire scimitar from it's sheath, and prepared to charge. Before doing so, he turned to look back at Ace. "I have been discovering who I really am. If I were you, I would leave while I still could. Blow a hole in the wall or something." Skorne then turned back to face the crowd of people trying to attack Oppel. Skorne charged forward in a blur of motion, swinging his scimitar at the first person that got in his way. The stranger managed to get his own weapon up to block, but it did little use. Skorne's blade was already in motion, slipping around the sword, into the person's chest. The sword burst into flame while still inside the man, burning him inside and out. Skorne put a foot on the man's chest and pulled his sword out. A new man ran up, seeing that he had killed the other person. Skorne raised his flaming weapon, adrenaline running through his veins. He locked blades with the person, and risked a quick glance back to see whether Ace had taken his advice or not. |

They saw Oppel appear before them and give them a though choice before returning to the fray. Reis could not beilev her ears. She knew they had little choice, but was still displeased at Ace's descion. "Running away will do us little good," Master Ace said as he brushed aside his green bangs and stood up. He Began casting a spell while staring blankly into the crowd. The ground quaked slightly. At fist the floorboards creaked slightly as the ground shook, but suddenly large spires of earth jutted into the air, peircing people and seending them through the ceiling which the spire rose above. Reis watched the alchol and people burn with a green fire. She watched Skorne attack a man with is flaming weapon and she watched in horror when Ace released his spell upon a mass of people away form Oppel and Skorne. She prayed that she could be forgiven for taking part of this. If she had known this would happen whe she left Celestial would she have still left. She now wondered what her abandoned freinds would think of her now. She tried to think of her part as a means of easing the suffering of the poor souls. She slowly began to sing a wordless song. It had an omenous sound, almost like a dark lullaby. Several of the people before them and now turning against Ace, dropped to the ground slowly and fell into deep slumber. |
