Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Tamuril walked slowly into the Elfsong Tavern and Inn, with her eyes to the ground from the down pour outside. Her bare feet padded lightly across the wooden floor of the large open room till they carried her to an empty seat before the warm fire. Her dripping wet hair framed her somewhat green complection as her eyes continued to stare at the ground.

This elf woman seemed lost in thought as she sat their ignoring the sounds and people around her. She sat their silent as if lost in her own world and thoughts and without a friend in the world.

While Master Ace was busy disscussing affairs with a man wearing heavy dark robes and nearly every inch of his body concealed and Draco read the minds of those arund the table and occassionly playing with their minds as they tened to do, Bruno wander around the tavern in his child like humaniod form. Almost atuomatically he walked to the warmth of the fire. He sat across from Tamuril, though not paying attention to the fact she was there. He turned his head to an abandoned book lying by the fire place. "Poor guy, I wonder if any one well ever come to get you," he spoke seemingly to the book.

Tamuril did not hear the child's words abotu the book, in fact she did not hear anything that was going on. In truth this young woman was deaf and had been since birth. She delt with being death by using what is called american sign language. When she was to talk to someone or try to at least she would use her hands and faceal expressions to communicate.

Sadly though this normaly scard people away from her so when people tried talking to her she would just take out paper and ink and write out, "I'm sorry I do not hear and cannot speak with my mouth."

Bruno turned his veiw from the the book to the blazing flames. He stared idly at the flames. Draco, seemng satisfied with reading and playing with minds got up and looked for Bruno. Draco instantly noticed the woman across from him. Draco walked up behind her and smiled innocently,"Hello mam." Seeing no response he he turned his thought to her mind. "She's deaf!" Draco thought to himself after running through her mind. A deviant smile appered on his face. "Hello , Tamuril," Draco's voice sounded in her head. It must have been a shock to her to hear when she knew she was deaf and still deaf to the other noise of the tavern.

Letting out a scream of fright and claming her hands to her head she broke into tears as she fell to the ground. Tamuril was the horrible scard not knowing what had just happened but knowing something or someone had entered her mind. Crying with unbelievable fear she rocked back and forth as she continued to hold her head.

Her eyes were tightly shut as she just layed on the wooden floor of the teavern, shaking and rocking back and forth as if she was a frightened child.

Draco, Bruno and several people around jumped as she borke into a screaming fit. The Tavern soon fell deathly quite with all eyes staring at the elf rocking back and forth on the tavern floor. Draco was pleased yet angered at the result of his work. He had always wanted to strike so much fear into one's mind, but now was not the time. Now her act would get him in trouble with Ace and for once he really hadn't done anything to truely deserve it. Ace's eyes quickly spotted Draco standing near Tamuril. He teloported beside her. He casted a glare an angery glare at Draco before bending over and attempting to comfort her. "Are you okay? Is something wrong?" He asked not knowing she was deaf. Draco was now angery at Tamuril. If he was going to get in trouble he might as well deserve the punishment. He used his mental powers to plant Ace's words inside her mind. His cold eyes stared at her and hoped to see her act even more like a mad man.

Screaming louder at his touch and throwing open her eyes that now looked to that of a ghosts and regaining her feet ran from the tavern shoving her way through the many people and docking over drinks. As the elf reached the main cobble stone street of the city she tripped falling into a puddle of water.

Laying their her mouth just barly out of the water, she gasped weeping with fear and cunfution. She dared not leave the puddle in fear that what ever had entered her mind and thoughts would once again come to haunt her. Pulling her now bleeding and mud covered legs to her chest she cried now and then letting out another scream like cry of fear.

"Draco you better have a good explaination of this when I get back!" Master Ace said as he walked after Tamuril hod ran out of the tavern as if yor her very life. Draco merely laughed pleased at his chaotic results. The tavern now stared at the child who was luaghing at the strange situation. Most of the people turned their attention back to the elf. They crowded around the door and windows to see what the seemingly psycho elf would do next. Some people turned their attention back to their drinks with an apathetic shrug.

Master Ace slowly approached Tamuril hoping not to starle her again.

Not knowing Master Ace was approching her, Tamuril continued to just lay in the puddle as the rain poured down upon her from the heavens above. As the puddle began to to grow in depth she lifted her head slightly but did not move other wise. Breathing heavily she held her eyes close tightly as she hugged her knees.

The elf could not remember the last time she had been so scard in her life, she did not know what to think of about the voices that had appeared within her mind... it had been the very first time in her entire life that she had heard someone else's within the safty of her mind and thoughts.

Draco had now stopped laughing and walked to the door. The crowd edged away from him as he moved. "Aright, I suppose Ace would preffer if I fix the mess that I create," Draco thought to himself. Ace was still inching to her and trying to coax her with words. Draco taped into her mind and casted clam emotions. Thoughts seeming as if her own rather than another's entered her mind and told her she should calm. She was merely overreacting. Whether she took the message as concsious or unconcsious thought It would not seem as strange to her as the voices of others.

Relaxing as the calm motions came over her and over coxided her into the state of a close to sleeping mind, she slowly crawled out of the puddle. Regining her feet, Tamuril pushed back her now soaking wet curly hair and turned around to face Ace. Having not heard his words as he apporched her curled up form she let out a scream of fright now longer feeling the calming emotions.

Falling backwards over a water barrell that filled to the rim with rain water, with a large splash as the cold water poured over her now shaking form she covered her face with her hands. All this deaf and scard elfen women was to be left alone and have her mind to herself once again.

"She's deaf. It didn't take much to make her act up as you've seen for yourself. She even went crazy after I tried to help her earlier," Draco sent to ace across their telepathic bond. Ace knew what Draco meant by his attempt to "help her", but put it aside him as he stepped aside and allowed Draco to cast the spell. Draco one agian wove the spell. He wondered if there was any hope for this elf to have a place in society.

Tamuril sat there drinched in the barrel staring at the man before her not sure what to do. Scrabling within the folds of her dress she made fore the journal but let out a whimper of saddness as she discovered it had been soaked as well and needed to be dried out before she could write upon it.

Sighing she got out of the barrel and roung out her hair and looked at Ace holding the journal to her chest. Looking at the man with through her large green eyes she waited to be yelled at or something.

Draco thought quickly of what to do next. A thought soon came to mind. The book suddenly seemed dry to Tamuril's touch. The soaked boak stll dripped water acrsoss her hand, but as draco's illusion made the boook dry to her touch and sight. Draco thought it might be the best way to communicate without freaking her out.

Master Ace, aware of Draco's plan, waited patiently with his eyes moving from her large green eyes to the soaked journal.

Looking down at the completly soaked journal that now seemed to be dry to her touch and sight she dipped a stick she had picked up into some mud and began to write out something slowly. She wrote, "My name is Tamuril.... I am deaf and cannot speak... why do you chase me? What do you want from me?"

She handed the journal to Master Ace and made a squeeking sound motioning for him to read what she had written. Tamuril hoped he would understand and write back so they could communicate.
