| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Walking around the dark and sinister streets of Talas, he wondered where he would get something to drink. He had been forced to fast for several days due to fear of what came out in the dark, such as himself. He grinned when he thought about it, but his dry lips cracked and his smile faded, his look once again serious. While continuing to walk around, he spotted a bar that looked [dare I say] lively enough to catch his attention. A strong smell of blood and foulness wafted into his nose. His pointed tongue licked his cracked lips as he walked into the bar. Walking in he saw something he thought he wouldn't see in such a place--a haven for the wicked. Lycans, Nekos, Vampires, and all other creatures of the night--his kind of people. He was about to smile again but remembered that the pain of the skin breaking when he did was unsettling, so he decided against it and walked over to the bartable. He looked at the bartender/tendress--he really couldn't tell the thing's race due to its hideous features Hey, I could use a drink the thing nodded and asked him Do you have money? Julius reached into his pocket and drew out a gold piece. All eyes in the bar drifted the coin and the person who held it I would also like something to eat. the thing looked at him and laughed. One of the patrons walked to Julius and placed a hand on his shoulder What do you think this is, a restaurant? While the lycan spoke, Julius was already gaining a tight grip on his katana. Snarling in a low tone, Julius shrugged the hand off but wrapped it under the same arm. Before the lycan could react, Julius turned 360 degrees, his blade sliding out of his sheathe smoothly and into and through the hand the beast had touched him with. The lycan wimpered and grabbed his bleeding arm. Julius spat on the lycan who was now losing conciousness from loss of blood. Don't ever touch me...Now about that food...take this fool, skin him, gut him, make me a burger and get me a clean towel for my blade. He flipped the thing behind the bar several more coins then took a seat on one of the barstools. The bar was unnaturally quiet, but soon returned to its usual hustle and bustle. |

Ranewen watched this from the back of the tavern. She grunted as she saw him stab the man's fist and smirked. Then, she couldn't hear exactly what he had said, he had thrown him over the counter. He had actually given orders to the bartender? This man might be worth talking to... she thought as she rocked back on her seat. The glass of blood she had ordered finally arrived and she instantly snatched it out of the barmaid's hand. She smirked and didn't even tip her. Instead ,she kicked the lady in the knee and send her away. "Now, back to what I intended on doing..." she muttered to herself as she rose out of her seat and walked slowly towards the man. She went to his left side and looked at him for a long while before speaking. "That was a smooth move... But exactly who are you?" she asked as she looked over at the lycan on the floor, who was now unconcious. She smirked and looked back at him, her glass of blood in her hand as she took a sip of it. Well? she thought to herself. Ryu, who was sitting at a table with a few of his draconinsh-looking friends, looked back over at her, wondering what she was doing. He rose an eyebrow and she caught it out of the corner of her eye. She shooed him away with her ahdn as she waited for her answer. She let her eyes go over towards the dancers and she shook her head once again, trying to ignore the urge to kill each and every one of t hem up there. Instead, she looked back over at Julius, wondering if he had even heard her. She pushed the man off of the seat behind her and she sat down, putting her glass on the table and looked back over sat at him. I demand an answer... she demanded silently and waited, tapping her fingers on the counter. The batrtender came up and refilled her drink without even asking. She nodded her head in thanks and lookd back over, leaning back in her seat impatiently. |

He patiently waited for his meal when this woman approached him. He glanced at her slowly, then looked back at the blood that was brought to him. He slowly drinked the blood and nodded as she complimented him. --All you need to know is that I am here and I will leave. What you do before, after, or during that is your business. He wasn't too interested in what she had to say, so he turned his back to her and yelled at the hunchbacked men hauling the lycan to the back --Be quick with it! My hunger is increasing and I am tempted to use one of you as an appetizer. Don't give me a good enough reason to do so. The men eyes widened as they hurried and took the lycan to the back to make Julius his burgers. When he sipped on the blood, it tasted great and he could feel the coolness running through his veins. He sighed in approval. and turned back to the bar table, noticing the woman still sitting next to him. --Didn't your "mommy" teach you that its rude to stare? Maybe I should re-educate you. |

"My mother? I have no mother. I have no family. I was a slave. And don't you ignore me, you hear? I asked you who you are. You should answer, shouldn't you?" She snapped and glared at him, her mouth set in a straight, firm line as she let her red eyes burn with anger. This man was going to learn what it was like to ignore her. She snatched his glass of blood in her hand and threw the glass against the wall. She glared at him still, and had no intention on moving if he made any sort of move on her. She'd probably be fast enough to dodge his move. She preferred her stealth over a head-on fight. Finally, expecting a blow from him - fist or sword - she stepped off of the barstool, still watching him carefully, as if daring him to try and attack her. Ryu turned around in his seat as his friend sitting across from him told him what Ranewen had just done. ((Bah, sorry it's short. I have to leave like really soon... Lol)) |
