Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Kuya kneeled beside the man who's arm was disfigured. Kuya thought about what he should do for a moment. Should he heal the man or leave him be because what he got he deserved. Kuya sighed. I hate it when this happens... Kuya cast 'greater heal' on the man. He stood up cringing and left the tavern. I wonder what happened here. And then Ranewen started to sing another song. Kuya noticed that he did not know much about Ranewen. What kind of person she, was she the kind of person you could trust or grow to hate? The kind of person that keeps promises or makes pacts? The kind of person that shares life instead of taking it away?

Once she had stopped singing, she sighed lightly and walked back to the bar and sat down in an empty seat. She ordered a glass of wine and flipped the barkeeper a coin. he smiled and then gave her her glass of wine adn seh took a sip of it and nodded a thanks to him. She glanced around to see who was there. She didn't know if Kuya had left or not, or if he was still there. From where she was sitting, she couldn't see him. But when she glanced out the window, she saw that the light steed was there and she shrugged, taking another sip of her wine.

Kuya noticed that Ranewen was finished with her song. Kuya walked over to her. "That was another wonderful song." Kuya said smiling. Kuya looked closely at Ranewen. She seemed to be innocent enough, but Kuya could not help thinking this being had stronger powers than the usual being. Maybe too strong. "Ummm....Ranewen....may I ask...are you a Knight of Imythess?" Kuya said a bit more seriously.

Her eyes wandered over to him and she nodded her head. "Yes, I am. Not the most pure of heart, but still a Knight. I hope to one day become a Goddess of Darkness, or if that's not possible for me, a followed of the God or Goddess of Darkness." She nodded her head and looked around the bar once more.

"I suppose you are one, too, eh?" she asled and let her eyes travel back to him. She ordered a refill on her wine and she received it almost immediately. Must be because I am a performer here... she concluded and nodded her head to herself. She looked back outside and watched her nightmare paw at the ground.

Using telekinesis, she untied the rope from the horse and she nodded her head to the left. The horse was obviously watching her and neighed, running off in that direction towards the Norwood Forest. She smiled and turned back towards Kuya as her two pseudo-dragons came in and landed on both of her shoulders. She rolled her eyes and looked from one to the other and shook her head, smirking.

"You two are going to get me thrown out of here, ya know that?" she asked. Tiu chirped in return and flapped her wings and looked at Kuya and dropped to the bar as she walked towards him with curious eyes. Not too far behind was the hatchling, Jordison. He tripped himself a few times, but finally made it towards Kuya and sat down on his haunches, looking him over. He chirped questionlingly and Ranewen sighed lightly.

"His name is Kuya," she told the two pseudo-dragons who seemed to understand and nodded their heads in what seemed to be approval. Unless they were having their secret, silent talks again, trying to confuse her into believing they would even bother to listen to her mouth. She smirked once more and looked back at Kuya and apologized. "Sorry about that interruption... But, yes, I am a Knight of Imythess. Why were you wondering?" she asked in return.

Kuya watched as the horse galloped away. Two pseudodragons came and perched themselves upoun Ranewen's shoulder. Indeed, he saw too many of these little creatures and wondered what was so special about them. The best that he has seen them do was use telekenisis, but that is not a very big feat around here in Imythess. Many can learn it with ease. But it wasn't one of the talents Kuya picked up because he thought it be a waste of time.

"Yes I am a Knight also. And I was also a God. I warn you, too much responsibilty will befall you, or not enough because there are already too many gods. I did not even meet half of them when I was one." Kuya said smiling. He now had few encounters with the Gods. Actually none yet since he had returned back to Imythess.

"Ranewen, If I am say, what is a Knight of Imythess doing here? I could see why you would go to Blood Seal tavern but why here?" Kuya asked with a simple smile on his face.

Hearing what he said the first time, she frowned at first and then shrugged her shoulders, not caring whether or not a lot of responsibility would befall her or not. She could care less. At least she would be the Goddess of her favorite element. She looked back over at her two pseudo-dragons and sighed lightly, shaking her head. She shooed them away with her left hand and they both flew back out from the window, which they had come from.

Then, she looked back at Kuya as he talked about why she was in the Elfsong Tavern. What kind of question is that? she asked herself and shook her head and sighed. “Is it forbidden that we should be here?” she decided to ask and leaned back on the counter and looked at him in her own devilish way. Then, she shrugged her shoulders and looked around once more as she to think of what she would say after that.

I hate the Bloodseal Tavern. I do not like their dancers, nor do I like much of the people there. They annoy me greatly some times. I’ve killed one of their dancers and a friend of mine killed another. We left three a live and they’re hiding, afraid that we’ll come take their lives as well, which is not true. I don’t even want to touch one of them once again.” She shuddered and looked over towards Ryu, who was watching her with slight interest as well as his friends. She glared at him once before turning her back on him and looked towards Kuya once again.

So, I am here, doing my job as a performer as you can see. And I guess that’s that.” She shrugged her shoulders once more and placed an elbow on the counter and took a sip of her wine and glanced back at the stage were another woman had taken over after Ranewen left. Anything else you wish to ask me? she wanted to add, but she decided that it would be better not to. “And aren’t most of the Knights of Imythess good? I happen not to be. And you’re a Knight of Imythess as well. Why are you asking me the question when you could answer it for yourself? Why aren’t you at the Bloodseal Tavern?” she finally had the courage to say.

She placed her glass down on the counter and a few people glanced in their direction. Of course, it wasn’t at them like Ranewen had thought. A man next to her had shattered a few glasses on a tray while taking it from the barmaid. She shook her head from side to side at him and turned back towards Kuya, glad that they weren’t the ones who were being stared at. She hadn’t raised her voice, so that’s what began her mind to question of why they were looking in their direction. She sighed lightly as she waited, patiently, for Kuya’s answer.

Kuya merely thought that the Blood Seal tavern would have more problems that the Knights of Imythess could help answer. Unfortunately Ranewen did not see him save the girl earlier. Kuya took a deep breath and said: "I see, so you are a performer, I would not know what to do if I had too many occupations at once."

Kuya suddenly felt a hurt in his stomach. "Why do you not kill this dark being she is an enemy..." a voice inside of hims said.

Kuya knew that it was celestial spirit, Judgement. "She has not done anything wrong to anyone or I yet..." he said to Judgement in his head.

"Nonetheless, she is an evil being, and you do not know if she has or not."

Kuya's pain was suddenly getting worse and worse. His inner spirit was telling him to slay this character. The pain got unbearable. Kuya cringed down and tried to move his way the opposite direction of Ranewen. "If I have not seen what she has done or know it then I can not pass judgement!" Kuya said almost screaming.

Ranewen looked at him and rose an eyebrow. All eyes were on them at the moment, until the performer started up again. Ranewen shook her head, wondering what in the world he was doing. Is he talking to himself? she asked herself and shrugged then looked over at Ryu and his friends who had already returned to talking about the performer or something of the other sort. For dragons, that sure did talk a lot – especially in their human forms.

Ummm… Are you okay?” she asked when everybody went back to normal, as did the rest of the tavern. Ranewen shook her head and took another sip of her win e, before getting another refill, this one only half-full. The bartender gave it back to her, but she let it sit on the table next to her elbow, waiting to see if anything else would happen to him or not. She was got up, about to leave to go to the inn. She hoped he got better, and maybe they could talk a while longer. But if he was going to shout at nobody about somebody, she didn’t want to be around him.

She sighed and looked at the glass of wine and sipped it until it was only a quarter fill. She then placed it down and looked back over at him. He looked out of it, and Ranewen drank the last of her wine. She shook her head and began to head for the door, eventually reaching the front door. She pushed it open and walked up to her nightmare, Maral, who had come back, knowing somehow that Ranewen wanted to leave. She pet its neck and smiled, kissing her muzzle. “Hello Maral…” she whispered and smiled.

The horse neighed and Ranewen leaned against her side, looking back at the tavern, wondering if he was going to fall her out or not. He seemed like a nice person and all, but that sudden outburst startled her. She still wondered what he was talking about. Who was more like it. Who was he talking about? Was it her? Or was it someone else? Something she said? Or something someone else had said that was still haunting him?

Ranewen smiled once again and got up on her horse and sat there for a while, gazing in at the window of the tavern. It was night now; the sun had set. And now, as she looked up, she saw that dark clouds had moved in. Once she lowered her red eyes to look back into the tavern, she felt a few raindrops against her face and she smiled. It began to come down harder, but Ranewen didn’t move. She just sat in the rain, watching the tavern, waiting. Waiting to see if this man was insane or not, or is he just forgot to keep his thoughts inside his own head.
