Ranewen entered the Elfsong Tavern & Inn earlier than usual, so she could view the other performers there. As she entered, it seemed that almost all the tabled were full. Literally. Ranewen quickly walked over to the only vacant table and sat down in a chair and looked around, her gaze turning slowly to the stage. She placed her elbow on the table, her hand open. Then, she let her chin rest on her palm as she watched, growing bored. A barmaid walked over to her and asked if she wanted something to drink She nodded and simply told her that she wanted any type of wine that they had. She look outside – the sky was not just blue, but it was painted with many colors: purples, reds, oranges, and the sort. The sun was setting. Soon, she would have to go perform. But for now, she sat there, waiting for her wine and as bored as she could possibly imagine. Finally, the barmaid came back and Ranewen flipped up a coin. Easily, it was caught in the barmaid’s left hand. Ranewen took no notice to her showing off and instantly looked elsewhere. She took a sip of her wine, wondering how many people would come to her table for a seat. She’d probably reject most of them – maybe all of them, but she would be going soon. She didn’t see why sitting with some strange people for only a few minutes could be bad. Ryu sat at a table, her shadow dragon’s human form. He occasionally glanced over at Ranewen with questioning eyes, but she ignored them as if he, too, were a stranger. She sighed and leaned back in her chair, as she felt Ryu trying to read her mind. She focused on one object – which happened to be nothing more than a piece of grass – and used her special ability, Slippery Mind, to make him fail in his attempt. She smirked contentedly and bit her lip to keep from laughing out loud. Dumb dragon… Underestimating me like that… she thought, keeping her thoughts to herself. |

Kuya entered the tavern. He was in his normal clothes; no shirt, a single shoulder guard, pants and a belt with a hip guard. He closely kept two angelic swords at his back. He had not been in here for a long, long time. After stepping inside, he looked around at his surroundings. Feels good to back home... he thought to himself. There were many people at the bar. There was probably and ocassion but Kuya walked right in anyways. He found a seat at the bar, but he saw that a lady (occ: not you) had just walked in and stood at the door looking around. She looked very tired so Kuya went up to her. "Here you go miss, you may have this seat." he told the young lady. "Thank you very much..." the lady said as she sat down. Kuya went to an unoccupied part of a wall near the entrance. After a while he decided to get a drink. He went up to the bartender. "May I have a glass of milk please?" "Milk?! At this hour?!" The bartender said. Kuya nodded. The bartender sighed and came back with a glass of milk. Kuya put some money on the table and went back to his spot on the wall. |

Ranewen watched as he walked through the doorway. He then found a seat she hadn't seen, obviously. Then, a tired girl had walked in and he offered her his spot. He should've made her stand... She'd find somewhere to sit with some drunks... It would teach her not to come here when it's crowded... she mused and had to stop herself from laughing outloud. Then, since he had nowhere to sit, she tried to get his attention, but there were too many people in her way. She had someone at a nearby table watch it for her so she didn't lose her seat. She jogged over to Kuya, holding down her performing skirt as she ran. She tapped on his shoulders and before he'd be able to say anything - if he did - she spoke. "Hello. I saw you give up your seat, and now you have to stand, right? I have an open spot, and pretty soon the table will be yours. I'm a performer here." She smiled and nodded in the direction of the table. "You don't have to come if you'd like. It's okay. I don't bite," she teased as she stepped back towards the table. She turned and slowly walked back towards where she was sitting and then flipped a coin at the guy who watched it for her. He greedily caught it and immediately called the barmaid over to get him a drink. She smirked as she sat down, taking a sip of her wine. She wondered if he was going to come or not. She'd find out soon enough. |

Kuya smiled. He looked over to where the girl had gone. He had not seen that open table probablt because there were so many people in front of it. He thought that all the the ladies that went into a bar were going to be pestered bt malicious men. But this woman apparently earned some respect frm the men, or it was that they were afraid of her. She seemed nice enough so Kuya made his way through the huge crowd of people and sat down across from her. "Hello, my name is Kuya, I have not been in here for a long time, thank you for the seat. What is your name?" Kuya asked her. He finished his glass of milk. He wondered if the woman would see her a bit childish because everyone else was drinking something ...how should he think of it...that they poorly judge. He noticed that the woman was drinking wine, but that was okay, Kuya didn't mind. He just didn't like anything that would stir his senses or make him regret in the morning. He looked outside through a window near the door where he left his light steed, he was doing fine. He then waited for an answer from the woman that sat in front of him that offered him a seat. |

She smiled as well and then decided to answer his question. "Ranewen, a performer here in the Elfsong Tavern & Inn and a Saidin of Flames, as well as a mage." She nodded her head towards the Druid wand which was the only one she hadn't sold. She had sold her summoning staff, too. She had no use of it anymore. She looked around and placed her hands on the sides of her skirt. If any men decided to walk by with a rude attitude... her thoughts railed off as she shook her head to try and make herself stop worrying. She took another sip of wine and then looked at his glass of milk and smirked. "It's better than being a drunk, huh?" she asked sarcastically as she nodded towards a table. The same people were always there every day. They sat in the same seats. They ordered the same drinks. The same ammount. Everything was the same for them. Wouldn't they wish for change? Would they ever find something better to do with their lives than waste it away on buying drinks. They're almost as bad as the whores from the Bloodseal Tavern... she mused and remembered one of them she had killed. That brought another smirk to her face but she let it disappear and fall back into its normal line as she looked back at Kuya. "I have to go perform soon, then you'll have the table to yourself. More elbow room," she said sarcastically as she leaned back in her chair and looked around. She looked over the performer who had about half an hour left on her shift. Then it would be Ranewen's turn. |

Oh yes, I am a paladin... Kuya said blankly to her response about being a mage. He shifted the angelic swords on his back to a more comfortable spot. Kuya smiled. I've never had more than a little dessert wine in my life. I know what alchohol does to people, it ruins there logic. Kuya said laughing a bit. He remembered how mant fights against warriors he had won because of this. I am fine at the moment... Kuya said chuckling about Ranewen leaving and giving him more space. It was getting late, and there didn't seem to be a change in the amount of people in the bar, but they all seemed more drunk with every passing minute. Kuya began to worry about his new found friend. I guess you will be performing soon, I think I will get a more better spot to watch... Kuya said smiling. And he walked over to where the stage was, and picked and empty spot to the side of it where he could keep in eye on all the people and at the same time watch the show. |

She nodded as he told her that he was a paladin. A hero, eh? He's lucky I'm in a good mood... Never was too fond of Paladins. They usually get in my way... she thought to herself as she listened to what else he had to say. Finally, he had gotten up, leaving Ranewe a lone for a moment. Once he had disappeared behind the line of humans, she got up as the other performer's shift ended. She sighed and thought of a song to sing and decided on the Virus of Life. She smiled as she climbed up on the stage. Everyone fell silent, their eyes upon her (all the NPCs, lol). She began to sing the song in a low, seductive, and almost horrifying voice. "(Yeah) I can see you but you can't see me I could touch you and you wouldn't even feel me Wait a second and you'll settle down I'm just waiting, 'til you really let your guard down? Your relaxed, your sublime, your amazing You don't even know the danger you're facing If I'm quiet, I'll slide up behind you And if you hear me I'll enjoy trying to find you I've been with you all day I'm trying to stay calm i'm impatient and it's really hard to breathe I'm going to empty you and fill you in with me Just keep the violence down Not yet - don't make a sound Oh God I'm feeling it It's reaching fever pitch My skin is caving in My heart is driving out No mercy, no remorse Let nature take its course watch me - Bring me to my knees waiting - I am your disease lover - set my sympton free covered - you won't feel a thing you can't stop me (wait, no, wait, no, wait, wait, not yet, no wait) I'm sweating through my veins I'm trying to hold on It's unbearable, it's almost worse for me I'm gonna to tear you apart and make you see MAKE YOU SEE! watch me - Bring me to my knees waiting - I am your disease lover - set my sympton free covered - you won't feel a thing This is the virus THE VIRUS OF LIFE It gets inside us The crisis, the knife This is the virus The virus of life This is inside us The crisis, the knife It's almost time to play It's time to be afraid I can't control the pain I can't control in vain Oh God I'm ready now You're almost ready now I'm gonna raid it now I'm gonna break it down I see you in the dark I see you all the way I see you in the light I see you bright as day I wanna touch your face I wanna touch your soul I wanna wear your face I wanna burn your soul watch me - Bring me to my knees waiting - I am your disease lover - set my sympton free lover - You don't love me This is the virus, the virus of life This is the virus, the virus of life This is the virus, the virus of life This is the virus, the virus of life" She ended the song, and got quite in applaud from many of the people there. Some she knew smiled and nodded at her to show that she did a very good job. Or at least that was what they thought. |

My my my...... Kuya thought. She sure knows how to sing and put the words together like she really knows what she is doing. Kuya applauded along with the others. After the applauding, Kuya sensed that some evil near by. It was like a sixth sense to him being an angel and a paladin at the same time. He could smell ominous deeds that were about to occur. He slowly put a hand on one o the handles of the blades at his back, and he looked around the room. Nothing in here... Kuya assured himself. Then Kuya heard a neighing outside. It was his Light Steed. Kuya looked outside at the window. Must have been a strong wind...thats all. But from then on, Kuya kept a little more alert. Kuya shot Ranewen a wink and mouthed her the words very good... |

Ranewen smiled and mouthed tyhe words thank you to him. Then, she had to ponder of which song to sing next. The audience was still replying, and Ranewen was still smiling, her eyes looking out over them all. She saw Maral - her nightmare - outside, pawing at the ground as if she were nervous. If she has to get away, she knows how to get out of that ground-tie... she thought and nodded her head. Then, she finally decided on a song. "Un-learn me Ditch what I read Behind what I heard Look Find Free Yet Do you get it yet Do you get it From here on it's instinctual Even straight roads meander Every piece contains a map of... It all! It all! Evidence In the march of the ant Pulse of the sea Look Find Free Yet Do you get it yet Do you get it From here on it's instinctual Even straight roads meander Every piece contains a map of it all! It all! Out of line and indivisible A crow left of the murder Every piece contains a map of it all Everything I wanted, wanted to know Everything I wanted, wanted to see Un-learn me Do you get it yet Look, find, free Do you get it yet" She smiled once more and people clapped. This song wasn't as good as the other one was, but it was still not half-bad. She bowed and then stood up again and looked outside towards Maral, who was still nervously pawing at the ground. She rose an eyebrow, wondering what was going on. She got off the stage and headed towards the bar as another performer took the stage so she could get a little break and a drink. |

Kuya noticed that before and during her song, Ranewen would also shoot glances out of the window. He noticed another horse was out there. It must have been Ranewen's. He followed her to the bar after her song. "You did a very wonderful job, but I noticed that you too keep looking outside at your meara. I am going to go outside to see what it is. Again, you have a very beautiful voice." Kuya said smiling. As Kuya went outside, he wondered why the malicious men in the bar, did not try to do anything to Ranewen while she was up there. He turned around and they were all drunk as heck. Oh well... Kuya thought. As he exited the tavern, her went up to his steed, Olwe Luinwe. "How are you doing my friend?" the meara neighed a little worriedly. He was a shining white now that the moon was out... |

Ranewen nodded her head in thanks and watched him in silence as he walked out the door. A few men came up to her, but before they were able to say anything, she would move away to another spot in the tavern. Finally, she put down her glass and went back up onto the stage and looked outside. Her nightmare looked over at Kuya and stomped her feet, looking at him curiously. Her red eyes spun with a mix of anger and confusion, also with curiosity. She snorted and pawed at the ground with her left front hoof, still looking at him with one eye, her neck slightly turned. Back in the tavern, Ranewen had just ended another song. "...But you're still gone..." People clapped their hands and a few men grabbed for her, but she used telkinesis to keep them away. Dirty, worthless beings... she thought angrily as she glanced outside again to see if anything had happened. |

Kuya looked inside. The men did go for Ranewen, he took out his Oathbow from the saddle of Olwe and notched an arrow on it, he was aiming for a spot that would scare, not hurt the drunk men. Kuya sighed. No use wasting an arrow on one of them... besides, Ranewen must have fended them off. He turned to see Ranewen's nightmare. It looked worried, and a bit hostile at him. He knew of course that nightmare's were of an eviler alignment than him or his light steed, almost opposite alignments in fact. Kuya decided to put Olwe in a farther place. Kuya walked behind the tavern. What he saw made his heart drop. There was a group of men, about four were maliciously touching a young woman, must have been around the age of twenty. Kuya unsheathed one of his Angelic Swords and casually walked over to the group, blade on shoulder. "Why hello, I thought that this was the more peacful of the Talas taverns, but I guess not. The men smiled at him in a sinister way. "What d'ya wan'? one of them asked. "For you to leave that young woman alone...Thats what..." "Afraid we can't do that..." said the one that was closest to the woman. "She's too beautiful to leave alone..." he said licking the cheeks of the maiden. Kuya grasped his the handle of his sword tighter. He calmed himself and threw a bag of coins at them. "Leave now, take the gold with you..." One of them went and fetched the gold. "There is about 100 gold coins here..." "Thanks you may leave now mister...." said another. The others laughed. Kuya stood his ground and said: "May God be with you after this moment of judgment..." Kuya said and walked towards them closer. He stood in front of one of them, and stared blankly to the side. He unsheathed his other angelic sword and slayed the one he was looking at. The other charged after him, after seeing the one slayed. With his right hand blade he took out the one closest to him, and the other with a simple stab. Kuya still had not moved an inch, and the last one standing in front of him was trembling. The one with the money. "I'll take that..." Kuya said casually retrieving the bag from the grimey fingers. "Go..." Kuya said in a commanding voice. THe man scurried of into a dark alley. He looked at the girl near him, and she hid her voice crying. She barely had any clothes left, the scattered pieces on the ground. He took her hand and brought her to her feet. She was weak so Kuya gave her some support. When they reached Olwe, Kuya found a spare cloak and wrapped it around her. He then led her to a near by inn, a small one that no one noticed, and gave the innkeeper the sack of gold. "Whatever she needs, and for how many days this money can buy..." The innkeeper nodded. And before the woman could give Kuya a kiss on the cheek he stopped her. "It is alright, no thanks to repay me..." and Kuya walked back out to Olwe.... |

Ranewen watched him and her mind was taken off the drunks. All of a sudden, she felt a pair of arms around her wist and the man picked her up and brought her off the stage. She thrashed her legs and attempted to get away, but yet someone else grabbed her foot. She sighed. It was the same group of men that were after her every night. "Can you men ever leave me a lone so I can do my job?!" she asked as she twisted to the right, causing one man's arm to twist in an awkward way, and the other man had to drop her or his wrist would be broken. She landed with a thump on the ground. She winched as one kicked her in the side sharply, but the pain went away almsot instantly. "Fools..." she said angrily as she rose to her feet. Despite wearing a skirt - a pretty short, black one ofr the matter - she lifted her leg up and kicked one of the men square in the forehead, sending him backwards into a table. The other, however, had gotten a hold of her arms and yanked them behind her back, spinning her around to face the crow. "What do you think you're doing? Are you asking for death? Because it is standing right before you if you so wish it to be. The crows call your name, man," she said in an hell-ish like voice as she turned around as he let go of her. "That's right... I sold my soul to the devil long ago. Yet no soul is ever sold. We just forget about it. That is true. But did you know that I still have spells and that I have more stealth than you and any other man in this tavern?" she asked. He just shook his head as he backed off. She took a step forward. "I may seem as if I am a whore. I didn't sell my life for sex and Gold. Never would i do such a thing, you hear me? I am no ordinary person like you drunkards in here. Now return to your seats; leave for all I care. Just don't do that ever again or you will not wake to see the morning." She smirked and walked back towards the stage as some men stared at her in awe. |

Kuya noticed that evil aura again. This time it felt a bit more stronger. Evil was all around this place, even more so than the infamous Blood Seal Tavern. But inside was a prescence of someone being controlled. Kuya ran quickly into the Elf Song tavern. There inside was a sprawled man with an awkward arm. He saw that Ranewen was nowhere to be seen. Looking more carefully though Kuya saw her walking towards the stage... |

Ranewen sighed as she got onstage again and wondered what song she should sing. She looked over at Kuya and wondered what was wrong. There didn't seem to be any panic on his face, but she couldn't tell from this far away. So, she just started the song and hoped that Kuya didn't need something urgently. "I push my fingers into my eyes Its the only thing That slowly stops the ache But its made of all The things I have to take Jesus it never ends It pushed it's way inside If the pain goes on... I have screamed until my veins collapsed I’ve waited as my times elapsed Now all I do is live with so much fate I wished for this I cool personed at that I’ve left behind this little fact You cannot kill what you did not create I’ve gotta say what I’ve gotta say and then I swear I'll go away But I cant promise you'll enjoy the noise I guess I'll save the best for last My future seems like one big past You laughed at me cuz you left me no choice I push my fingers into my eyes It’s the only thing That slowly stops the ache If the pain goes on I'm not gonna make it! Pull me back together Or separate the skin from bone Leave me all the pieces Then you can leave me alone Tell me the reality is better than the dream But I’ve found out the hard way Nothing is what it seems I push my fingers into my eyes It’s the only thing That slowly stops the ache But it’s made of all The things I have to take Jesus it never ends It pushed it's way inside If the pain goes on I’m not gonna make it! All I’ve got All I’ve got Is Insane All I’ve got All I’ve got Is Insane All I’ve got! All I’ve got Is Insane! All I’ve got! All I’ve got Is Insane! All I’ve got! All I’ve got Is Insane! All I’ve got! All I’ve got Is Insane! I push my fingers into my eyes It’s the only thing That slowly stops the ache But it’s made of all The things I have to take Jesus it never ends It pushed it's way inside If the pain goes on I’m not gonna make it All I’ve got All I’ve got Is Insane!" |
