Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Her massaging fingers ceased, but remained where they were, and her eyes shot open. She broke into a gentle laugh, moving her hands to her sides and shaking her head, amused. "You know, young theif, you are amusing, if anything." Her voice had a flicker of kindness in it and her eyes went soft for a moment. Maybe he'll be an alright companion... she thought silently.

She ran her hand through her hair and raised a brow at him, looking him over, then giving a passing glance to the gaurds. She could easily point him out to them, but decided against it. "Well," she said softly, her voice low and smooth, "you may sit here with me as long as you like... as long as you don't steal from me ever again."

She gave a smile before trying to hide a wince, the noises were affecting her concentration. She wasn't used to all of the noise... she usually was outside at night where most creatures slept and little noise was heard.

He raised an eyebrow. "Me amusing? You know, I hear that a lot. As well as some pretty bad name-calling." He shrugged, rufflling his hair underneath the cloak. "And I won;t steal from you anyhow. First rule of the trade; only steal from those who can't harm you, or are too stupid to realize you stole from them" He looked at her mouth and the hidden fangs. "I don't think you fit either of those descriptions. But that gaurd does..."

With inhuman speed he threw the dagger, a long thin rope connected to the hilt. It speared the gaurd's small purse with scrolls sticking out, and was back in Daisuki's hand within a blink. He grinned and took out various wanted posters, looking at them with interest.

Phedre rolled her eyes and laughed softly, shaking her head in amusement. "Well," she said with her eyebrows raised in intrest, "whose wanted this week?" She leaned in closer to him in hopes to see the posters habitants. Her hair slid over her shoulder, hanging loosly on her side. "Come on let me see too," she said with a laugh pulling out a few childish instincts from her little bag of tricks.

He found the poster he was looking for and shoved the rest across. "Oh, I'm just checking my popularity again." He grinned and put the poster out on the table, pressing a small symbol on the corner of the page. An illusion picture flashed on the page, shwoing moving images; a spell the Gaurd had come up with to show their forces the wanted people in action. On it were two fuzzy images; one of a red haired figure standing on top of a low building at nioght, cloak over his face and clothes. The other of a red haired figure from a distance, jumping around a group of gaurds. Within a minute all five of the guards were down, the cloaked red haired figure sprinitng away. he had defeated all five, each trained and having a sword, with one small dagger.

"Man, their mages need ot get better shots." hge looked at the looping images. "All you can tell on them is I have red hair. Oh well." He shrugged and took a drink, looking at the looping illusion pictures. "Nice reward though." he pointed at the large amount of gold for the man's capture, who was known as 'The Fire Phantom.' "Love the catchy name too."

She smiled and nodded, leaning back into her chair. Obviously her event of the prior night had not been reported, or else her name would be on the poster, and not some small town kid whose a klypto. She shrugged, it was better they don't know, it'd make her meals a lot more trusting.

She lifted her booted feet onto the table, reclining back in her chair with ease. "How many weeks has it been," she asked, looking at him from over her, black leather boots, "I mean, how many weeks have you been 'wanted'?"

She raised her brow and smiled slightly, relaxing in his company. She let out a small yawn and stretched out her arms behind her head. "And what are you doing out here so late?" It must have been 3 or 4 am by now, the sun would be rising soon enough.

"Well, only a year or two..." He shrugged. "And why can't I be out this late? I cna take care of myself, if I have to." He shrugged and rolled up the poster, looking at the rest of the pile. "Lessee... oh, that's Takafume, evil little blighter there. Um... no idea who she is, cute though. And quite a nice bloody sword. That one's Shadow... no missing him. And... well, what do we have here?" he looked up from the last wanted poster. It was of a darkened in face, showing they had no idea who had done it. It read. 'Wanted, Vampire.' He skipped ovcer the specifics and handed the page to Phedre. "And just last night too. Friend of yours?"

She slid her boots from the table and leaned forward to casually take the poster. She turned it upright and leaned in close to read it. She let out a sigh and shook her head, "they could have at least TRIED to get a decient picture." She pocketed the poster and put her boots back up on the table, baring her fangs in a signature smile.

She let out another yawn, it was getting late...erm... early. "I wasn't trying to mother you kid," she said with a roll of her eyes, "I'm just saying that I don't see many kids your age out and about at this hour... that's all." She stretched again, "I'm not testing your integrety, though it could easily be done."

"how many kids do you know that have my... er, job?" He shoved the remaining wanted posters into the pouch and threw it at the gaurd; it hit him in the head, and he picked it up, looking around the inn to see who had thrown it. "Anyway, that was you? Hm. Remind me to never meet you on a dark night. Or early mornign. Like now. Whichever." He took a small drink of water and closed his eyes, relaxing. "No snacking, ok?"

Phedre laughed, running her tounge over her fangs, "I don't like kids," she said with a mock smile, "to eat that is."

She cracked her knuckles and looked around the tavern, closing her lips. It was emptying out now, except for the gaurds. One was glancing over there, trying to make his staring less noticable. She winked at him and gave him a seductive smile, hiding her fangs. He blushed furiously and pointed at himself with a long finger. She nodded a reply. "There's my meal ticket," she said softly to the thief.

The gaurd held up his finger as if to say "one moment" and continued talking with the barkeep about posting the wanted ads.

"So then how do you like kids?" He shrugged, and decided he was better off not knowing. "Your meal ticket, huh?" He looked at the gaurd. "So he wouldn;t mind if I took that knife in his belt? Or the pouch in his back pocket? The gold necklace?" He shrugged and turned back to his drink, notising the thinning crowd; in fact, only three people were left. Him, Phedre, and a cloaked figure in the opposite corner. "So what am I supposed to do while you eat? Sit in here and drink water by myself? Or..." He glanced over at the other table with the cloaked figure again and his eyes widened slightly. "I may find a way to amuse myself."

She gave another smile to the gaurd as he glanced again this way. "Do whichever you please, but I may come back in here, in a bit of a mess." She ducked her head low so the guard couldn't see her and added something else, "but if he takes much longer it'll too damn bright out to feed at all."

She glanced over to the corner where the other man sat. "Do you know him?" she asked softly, squinting, trying to get a better look. A shadow dweller? Perhaps he was another vampire... perhaps it would be a good introduction to uphold. She pulled her eyes from the shadowy character and back tot he young theif. "Are you not at all tired? In the slightest?" She yawned once more, it would be getting light out in less than an out, "do you have anywhere to stay, at least?"

"A bit of a mess? i dont; want to know..." He absentmindedly drummed his fingers on the table, every now and then glancing towards the other person, besides them and the soon to be dead gaurd. "And I think I might know her..." He shrugged. "And why would I be tired? It's only been about a day or so since I slept last... not too long." he shrugged. "Been too busy to sleep. But I have... things to do at the moment, and you do too. See you when you're done feeding, ok?" He grinned and stood, walking over towards the cloaked figure nervously.

She yawned, still hiding her fangs, and gazed idly out the side window. The dark sky was slowly lightening, if she wanted to feed, now would be the time. She stood from her seat and approached the guard, looking at him flirtatiously from under her eyelashes. She ran her hand through her hair and whispered to him in a low voice, then turned and headed for the tavern's door, slipping the hood of her cloak up over her head as she left.

Moments later the guard casually exited, looking either way to find Phedre. He licked his lips as he saw her leaning casually against a nearby tree. Phedre glanced up the the sky, and fading moon and urged him on with a nod of her head, motioning him towards her. Little did he know... very little.
