| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

The boy looked to be no more than ten; he was actually fifteen, and uncommonly short. His spiky red hair looked like it had never been brushed, and his cloak wasn't fastened correctly, but instead thrown carelssly over his right shoulder. He wore baggy black pant and a set of arm bracers. He came into the inn with a borad smile on his face, and sat down at a booth. When the barmaid came around, he simply ordered some water, and flipped her a gold coin to pay for it. As she turned to leave, his dagger came out and cut the purse off her belt. He grabbed it quickly and stuffed it in his won belt; he had just gotten back his purchase cost, with interest. Daisuki grinned and leaned back against the chair, sippind his water slowly, watching the patrons for a good mark. He didn't steal for money; he stole for sheer enjoyment of the sport. |

Phedre sat in a far back corner of the tavern. She had pinched the candle out on her table, leaving her cast in complete darkness. Her hood was up, covering the top part of her head, her yellow eyes were the only thing able to be seen. She watched the boy enter and order and rolled her eyes. Cockiness would never go rewarded... if it were up to her. She watched him slip the maids purse into his own belt and rolled her eyes. A young theif with quick fingers, but not an eye for surrounders. She picked up hre glass with slender fingers and took a sip ofher bloodwine. Setting it back at the table she returned to watch the boy, trying to see who he would target next. He's as good as dead if he comes here... she thought. |

Daisuki sighed and pulled hsi dagger back out, balancing it on the tip of his fingers. Regualr thievery was getting boring for him. After all, he really didn;t liek to do it; he kind of had to. And it had just become a habit after all those years he had been seperate... he looked at the small, black ring that kept his halves together and grinned. Well, maybe he just needed a more interesting target. Or maybe he should trying to talk to someone without stealing from them... musing over this, he looked over the room and saw a lady watching him from a shadowy corner. He grinned and got up, walking over to her table. "Miss, can I sit down? I assume you're watching me because you saw my actions back there." he sat down, still playing with his dagger, a drop of blood on his finger. "Am I right?" |

She kept her lips over her fangs as she spoke, though was unable to tear her eyes from the drop of blood on his fingertip... so fresh. "Of course," she breathed, trying to focus her mind on the boy instead of his blood. She picked up her glass and downed the rest of it quickly, but the thirst still remained. Finally she tore her eyes from the bloodied finger and forced them upon the boy's face. They were wild and yellow seeming as if to melt a hole in his forehead, the gaze was so strong. "I think you should leave," she said, awaiting him to get up and move away, "leave or you will be in most trouble." That's all she said as she closed her eyes in hopes to gather more concentration. |

Daisuki caught her looking at his fingertip. He shrugged and the dagger was dropped back into his cloak, sucking on the finger. The blood was gone when he took it out. Even in a tavern liek the Elfsong, you never could be too safe. But he could take care of himself. "Do I have too? I dunno. Why should I leave when I just got here?" He looked at her calmly, red eyes meeting her yellow ones. "you wouldn;t try to rat on me would you? It's just a force of habit by now." |

She inhales slowly and looked down at his finger. She regained control of herself, blood gone, and rolled her eyes. "I do not care if you steal from a dog, cat or dragon, as long as you don't try your hand at me, you will stay alive." She decided to ignore his question of having to leave right away, and whistled sharpy for the barmaid to return. She came bustling over nervously, holding a jug of wineblood in her hand. She tried to keep her eyes on the wine glass, which was now shaking in her nervous hand, but they kept wandering to Phedre's lips. Phedre saw the barmaids eyes on her mouth and flashed a grin, her pure white fangs flashing in the open. The barmaid gasped and dropped the jug, sending it shattering to the floor. Phedre just raised her brows and let her lips meet once again, looking innocent to the rest of the taverns occupents, who were now staring in surprise at their table. |

Daisuki looked at her, then his finger, and then her fangs specifically. "Oh, that's a real party starter." He smiled kindly at the barmaid and pushed her gently. "Go away, I'll tkae care of this." The girl nodded and ran back to the kitchen, eyes full of tears. Daisuki shook his haead and glanced at Phedre. "Was that really necessary?" The teenager bent down and picked up the broken jug, his hands flashing as they picked up the pieces quickly. Once he had a pile of broken crockery, he scooped it up into a napkin, cleaning the spill with another napkin and his right foot. He stood up and threw the soggy napkin up, caught it, and threw it away. "Just a second..." He glared at the people in the bar as he walked over to the kitchen, and most looked away hurriedly, aware of how rude they had been. On the way he also lifted a few purses, quicker than the eye could see. He grabbed a new jug of wine from the barmaid, who smiled gratefully at him, and returned to the corner. Hej poured a cup for Phedre and left the jug on the table, eyes watching her. "So, a vampiress? Interesting. And whatever makes you think I'd steal from you?" His face assumed an innocent expression of a child that had just blown something up. |

She let out a sigh and rolled her eyes. A show off and a thief... the two would just rub her the wrong way for hours. "Yes, I am a vampiress," she set cooly, taking a sip of the normal wine and making a face, spittting it to the ground and setting her glass back on the table, "and yes, it was completly necissary." A man from another table was eyeing her with curiousity and smiled back at him with thoughts of following him after his leave and having... a quick meal. She looked back at the boy, "Was cleaning it up and releiving a wench of her job completly necissary?" She raised a brow and traced her finger over the rim of her full glass of most distastful wine. |

"Hey, Dezra's a friend of mine! And you did kind of scare her half to death..." He shrugged, pouring himself a little bit of the wine. "besides, I figure I havev to help the inn out every now and then. I've taken plenty of their money..." He stretched, then looked at her calmly, playing with his dagger again. "Just one thing. No trying to amke a meal out of me. And then I won't steal any of your stuff." |

She broke into a round of laughter, leaning back in her chair, her white fangs flashing against her crimson lips. "You, little one, have a proposition for me?" She couldn't hold back the tears of laughter, their bloodinees seeping from the corners of her eyes. "That was quite a try you pulled," she said with a smile, her fangs still bared, she had gotten some control of herself back, "but I don't make one sided deals." She ran her hand through her hair and continued, "You see, either I make a meal out of you and you can't steal from me... due to your lack of life... or, you can try to steal from me... fail... and be made a meal out of anyway," she smiled devishly, the beauty still glowing on her face, "either way... it's a win/ win situation." The only thing he could steal was her purse of a few odd coins, and they were in a place he couldn't possibly take them without her knowing. |

"Really?" He locked eyes with hers, his own as red as spilt blood. "I am no average thief, despite my age. I have skills most don;t expect, and it's what kills them." He lost his seriousness and pulled a dagger out of his cloak. "But I already win. This wasn't mine to start out with." He pushed the wavy-bladed dagger he had taken from when he had first sat down across the table, grinning mischeviously. "Yours, Miss Vampire?" He didn't wait for her to answer and instead held out a hand. "The name is Daisuki, Phantom Thief. Can I ask yours? |

Little less but rage seared through her viens as she grabbed the hilt of her dagger and turned the weapon in her hand. She let out a noise in frustration before stabbing the blade deep into the table. The blade shuddered as it stuck inbetween the fingers of the boy theif, it's hilt humming with the force of impact. Her eyes glowed with the subsiding rage. He must have slipped his hand... or something... to the leather sheath bound to her upper thigh, and that's what bothered her more than the theivary itself. "Phedre." |

Daisuki looked at the dagger with glee. "Does that mean I get to keep it?" He grabbed the blade out of the table and started playing with it. "I don;t even remember how I got it, when you said that I had no chance I remembered, 'Hey, I stole her dagger!'" He stopped playing with it and put it down, scratching his head. "Wait a second, how did I get this? And from where?" He shrugged. |

She gave him an inquisitive look and then rolled her eyes. "No you will not be keeping it," she said softly, yanking the blade from the heavy wooden table, "and it would be good to know your own skills..." She let out a sigh and rubbed her forehead, her head throbbing with a million different aches. "So I know your name, and you know mine, what more is there to this theif meeting, young Sir?" She leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes, massaging her temples. Couldn't the people in the tavern she silence themselves for one moment?! |

He shrugged. "I don't know. I just don't want to go back where I was sitting." He pointed to several gaurdmen who had seene him over there, using the motion to flip his cloak over his red hair. "You know, being a Phantom Thief has it's disadvantages. The memory lapses for one, and the constant urge to steal..." He shrugged. "But I do get some pretty cool stuff." He looked at her and caught her massaging her forehead. "Hey, you ok Phedre? Don;t lose control and try to snack on us all, would be a bad thing." |
