Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

The nightsky was quickly being claimed by dark clouds foreshadowing a grissly, cold and all round miserable night, a hooded figure dressed in a long cloak striped in black and purple, a basic long sleeved silk black shirt and a black pair of breeches were worn hidden underneath the large cloak wrapped tightly around the figures body,

glancing up briefly Althalus shook his head at the state of the sky and quickly entered a Tavern to escape the rain that was soon to be pouring heavily down, moving into a corner Althalus sat, soon a maid brought him Ale and some rarely cooked meat almost swimming in blood, perhaps the closest thing Althalus would get to the blood he required tonight.

Ignoring his food for a moment Althalus moved his attention to his harp, a quality harp fit for only the best of players, lay broken in front of him. it was not his fault, those bandits had paid dearly for ruining the beautiful instrument sighing softly Althalus nursed the broken harp in his hands knowing now that his voice was the only instrument he would have for awhile.

Shynthriir was a newcommer walk into the Tavern. He held a halp, though broken, magnificent in design. He wondered if the man was a musician, maybe a singer. Shynthriir was not allowed to leave the counter though, it was his job, and he certainly wasn't going to shout across the room. Parhaps soon the man would come to the counter and ask for a wine, or more ale.

Althalus soon found the little corner in which him and his harp where seated rather depressing hardly the sort of mood Althalus wished to be in at this point in time. After nibbling at his food. mostly drinking up the blood in the meat without looking to obvious about it,

Althalus stood slowly placing the harp in a case once designed to protect it.. now serving as a coffin for the instrument, glancing around Althalus slowly made his way over to the bar, seating himself towards the end of the bar Althalus's eyes made contact with the bar tender and a small smile appeared on Althalus's lips signalling that the man wished to order.

Shynthriir saw the man, and noticed him ready to order. He didn't want to straight out ask him about his musical talents quite yet, but did ask him, "Would you like something to drink?"

Althalus nodded as teh man asked him and leant in closer "Yes... i was wondering if perhaps this tavern supplied the more...... exotic drinks?" Althalus asked in a soft voice almost at a whisper to help the hint along Althalus allowed the tips of his fangs to extend allowing only the bartender to see Althalus smiled softly the vampire seated in front of the man was really no threat to anyone, despite most Vampires Althalus found the prospect of fighting a useless and messy chore.

Shynthriir knew what the vampire would want and quickly set into the motions he followed when getting anyone else a dring. He grabbed a glass on a counter under the bar and placed it on the bar. Then he looked in the back of one of the cabinets so find a pitcher in the back. The then poured the liquid in teh glass and returned the pitcher to it's place. "Blood from a dragon, something you yourself should enjoy."

Shynthriir looked at the man and marveled at the features. He had never seen a vampire before, they were wuite enteresting. "Tell me, what brings a man like you here?"

Althalus smiled as the man went quickly about serving Althalus a drink, Althalus had half expected to have the man yell out and have Althalus running out of the tavern for his life,

letting his white hand grip the cup Althalus lifted it to his nose and sniffed it checking to make sure the blood was good, surprisingly enough it appeared to be decient, taking a long sip Althalus licked his lips to remove the excess blood, then began to answer the man "Adventure kind sir,... I seek adventure.. I seek to find a person of great deeds... and write songs and poems about there adventures, but alas... I have searched for along time.. and still no great deeds have I seen with my own eyes." Althalus spoke sipping from his drink again

"Thank you for the drink.. and thank you for not having me thrown out like most other places.".

Shynthriir listened to the man, the vampire. He seemed a great musician, as odd as a vampire musician sounded. "I myself have many a story to tell, I doubt any of which would spark a song from you lips, for my stories are stories of an abondoned child and his search for truth." Shynthriir held the pain of his words inside of him, not letting him express the true feelings they brought him.

"Could I parhaps hear a song of yours? Our singers in this tavern are the same as they were many a year ago and their songs repetitive."
