| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Okay, as an alternate to demigods, how would people feel about royalty? They would be mortals and be given rule over certain areas of Imythess. Examples:
Let me know what you think. Remember, both the demigods and the royalty ideas are not solid and may not ever come into play here at Imythess. |

I like the Royalty idea, cause you have mortals, that have a higher position than others. I would like to see more than just those four positions if you are going to do this though. |

This seems like a much more appropriate addition than demigods to me, which reflects my vote. Something along these lines will probably work out a lot better. |

I dislike the Idea even though I'm might as well be royalty in the academy of magic. In any case I liked the demi-god better even though I had my dislikes. |

I think this is a much better idea than the demigods one. And then we could have wars between the kingdoms. Yup yup, much better idea. |

If you think about it, this idea actually makes a lot more sense. One thing that is directly lacking is the dimension of government. Obviously, someone has to be running these cities and villages, whether they are appointed or birthed into the position. It is also not unheard of to have official keepers of different forest and other wild areas, which opens more positions if necessary. I know of a few characters with a political background that could either hold these offices or could at least roleplay with the appointed lords/ladies. |

The reason I did not enter politics sooner (And still might not even now) is because the gods are so active in the world of Imythess, that royalty wouldn't even be really needed except for RPing experiences, which could be pretty awesome. Wars are a definite possibility. Once I get the history up for all the places of Imythess (Not just the mythological version which is what is now available), it could be very likely. I am currently writing the history for my favorite realm of Imythess, Cascadia and it is a lot of fun to write. There will be a small history for just about all the common RP places here and I probably will try to have it all up before choosing royalty so everyone would know how each kingdom/realm reacts to another. |

Concerning wars I don't think too many people were active in the war zone. |

Yes, but it'll be different if there is one. People will actually have more info on what they are fighting and it would be very political, not necessarily divine. There might not be wars, though and if there are, not for a long time because I have a lot of writing to do.

Heck they both sound good, but yeah, I suppose the royalty lack is a little depressing... |

Interkingdom conflicts would tend to have more participation since the disputes are broad enough that a larger variety of players will be exposed to the fighting. It would not be limited to those who happened to be paying attention to the war zone. |

I agree with Sargoth (I think our brains are in tune with one another or something). Basically, what he said. |
