| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Another night. It was jsut another normal night. The usual crowd was there, a long with some new faces. Ranewen was singing, and many of the people were watching her. She covered up her evil side and put it aside, like she always did as she performed in taverns. On the streets, however, it was always different. This time, she sang a song called 'I'm Lost Without You'. As she sang, she tried her best to keep her angelic voice in tune. "I swear that I can go on forever again Please let me know that my one bad day will end I will go down as your lover, your friend Give me your lips and with one kiss we begin Are you afraid of being alone Cause I am, I'm lost without you Are you afraid of leaving tonight Cause I am, I'm lost without you I'll leave my room open till sunrise for you I'll keep my eyes patiently focused on you Where are you now I can hear footsteps I'm dreaming And if you will, keep me from waking to believe this Are you afraid of being alone Cause I am, I'm lost without you Are you afraid of leaving tonight Cause I am, I'm lost without you Are you afraid of being alone Cause I am, I'm lost without you Are you afraid of leaving tonight Cause I am, I'm lost without you Are you afraid of being alone Cause I am, I'm lost without you Are you afraid of leaving tonight Cause I am, I'm lost without you I'm lost without you I'm lost without you I'm lost without you I'm lost without you I'm lost without you" The crowd cheered as her song ended and Ranewen left the stage as another singer went on, or whatever she was doing. Ranewen walked over to the bar and sat down on a stool and the barkeeper slid a glass full of ale down the table and it stopped right in front of her. She nodded her head in approvement and she took a drink of it. The performer always got free ale at the Elfsong Tavern. If they wanted something else, they got half-off the normal prices. Ranewen always drank Ale no matter what. Unless, of course, she was at the Bloodseal Tavern. There, however, she drank the Red Wine, which wasn't in fact, wine. She took another sip of it and tunred around to look at the new people in the Tavern and smiled at those who looked at her. |

Kari had come to the tavern tonight to relax a bit. She had been busy the entire day; with practising magic and whatnot. She felt relieved to finally be among people again and realised that it was more crowded than usual. She forced her way through the crowds and heard a woman's voice, singing a beautiful song. She smiled and walked towards the small stage at the back of the tavern. She loved music and singing, and this woman was very good at it. There was something different about this lady though, she wasn't like the ordinary performers. Kari shrugged, deciding that that was none of her business and kept listening to the song until it was over. After that, a different person started to perform, but a lot of people went off to get new drinks and so did Kari. She ordered a cup of tea at the bar and gave the bartender a couple of coins. He thanked her and watched her suspiciously, probably still astonished about her ordering tea instead of an alcoholic drink. Kari took the damping cup between her hands and looked around for an empty seat. Most places were taken already though, and the barstools were about the only seats left. Kari sat down on one of the stools and sipped from her tea, not noticing that she had sat down next to the black-haired lady from the stage until she had finished her tea. She smiled at the lady. 'Hello! I really loved your performance. You're a great singer!' |

Ranewen looked to her right. She smiled. "Thanks," she said calmly. "I appreciate it. The real fun hasn't really started yet... The crowd goes wild whe nI start to dance for them. Me and Renate... Two of the best-known performers here, I believe." she smiled and looked around at the crowd as they seemed to be bored of this singer. "It's strange... how they listen to me and not to the other woman..." she said, her voice trailing off as she shrugged her shoulders. "What is your name, may I ask? I am Ranewen." She smiled and extended her arm as t he bartender filled her cup with ale once more. This woman seemed to be nice, and she recognized her face form somewhere. "Say, are you form Bahamut's temple? I honestly recognize you from somewhere... Then again, I've been to many place. Too many places." She smiled and looked around the bar once again. The men were downing their seconds and were saving their energy for the dancing Ranewen used to do. She ususally got everyone - or almost everyone - on their feet and dancing around the tavern every once in a while. It was fun. At least, it seemed that they were having fun. Ranewen always had had fun performing. That's why she decided to apply for the position and she got accepted. |

Kari smiled back at Ranewen and was surprised when she spoke about Renate. So she knew Renate? She hadn't expected that. She didn't know that Renate was a performer either. But that was probably because they hadn't seen each other for a while. They had met again about a week ago but their meeting hadn't been that long. Kari took a deep breath and laughed. 'You're welcome of course. My name is Kari Leigh Firestone, nice to meet you!' She looked back at the stage and noticed that there were a lot less spectators present now indeed. She chuckled. That wasn't strange, Ranewen was a much better singer than the woman who was performing now. And she also had a mysterious aura around her. Kari directed herself at Ranewen again and her eyes enlarged. 'Oh, yes! That's correct! I'm from Bahamut's temple... ' She wondered how the woman knew. Perhaps she had seen her there? She honestly had no idea. |

"I'm one of Bahamut's Chosen," she smiled and nodded her head as she leaned back on the bar. A few men walked up next to her, as if trying to get both women's attention. Ranewen bit her lip to keep from laughing as they began talking. She turned het back to both as she began to talk again. "I am the one who saved Bahamut for being Losse forever, if you ever knew of that incident. And he saved me twice, so we're basically even now." She smirked and took another sip of her drink and looked around once more, wondering if there were any familiar faces. The first face she noticed with Ryu, with a few of his new-found friends who were just like him. They could transform from dragons to humans as well, adn came up her for a visit. They were all cute, or so Ranewen thought. When Ryu looked back at her, she glared at him mock ingly and looked immediatly away. Why are you looking at me? What? I'm not allowd to look at you now? You never acknowledged my presence before so it's quite... weird... she said to him telepathically and shuddered before looking back toward Kari, a smile still on her face. |
