| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Ranewen thought she would lose as well. She didn't want some people to be the God or Goddess of Darkness, for she thought thatg they would make the position look bad. She wanted either her or Renate to win, mostly. She didn't know anybody else she liked who was going to apply. ''Yes, my element is darkness It always has been I practised black magick as a child, but I never told anybody for a fear that they would tell my parents and make my situation in the family worse. Perhaps they wouldn. It's true, though, that Vampires only drink what they need, though, right? I've always hearde peopel accusing them of killing their victims once they drink their blood no matter what. They think that you drink them dry everythime, no matter what. Even if you fed the night before.'' Ranewen stated only what she knew and what she had heard. Not that she thought that what she thought was always right. She shrugged her shoulders and looked ahead of them. Ranewen dismounted at the main gate and let Maral go run free around Talas for now. It would be too crowded to being her enormous nightmare to walk the streets. Especially at this time of day. (Excuse my God-Moding here) She helped Renate off of the bear and summoned him away. She then led them down the street and into the tavern. Quickly, with her head down, she led them to the table in the back corner and sat down. She looked around and nodded towards the dancers. "See what I mean?" She smirked. "Perhaps since I am as evil as you are, tonight after midnight, me and you will stay here. If you get out of hand, I'll jsut have myself disappear into the shadows. We can kill some of the dancers, you can dirnk them dry, and in blood we can write a message." She smirked devilishly and waited for a reply. |

They had arrived at Talas now and the Bloodseal Tavern was in sight. Finally she could get off that bear, the vampiress thought relieved and sighed as they stopped in front of the tavern. Ranewen helped Renate get off the bear and made him disappear. She followed her new friend inside and sat at a table in the corner. The vampiress looked around. It was a dark tavern with many suspicious looking guests. Most were daemons. That was obvious. And then there were the dancers. They were dancing seductively, showing some men parts of their body Renate didn't want to see in close-up and she looked away, disgusted. ''You practiced black magic? How evil! No, it wasn't like that with me. I was a pirate. That's how I discovered my evil nature. I killed many people. Many innocent people too. Just for the fun of it. Then we were attacked by a ship that was taking pirates to our kingdom. The captain spared me and held me hostage. He bit me and made me a vampire. I did learn some magic spells when I came to Imythess, but I don't know many yet. I am still learning. I'll improve. I'm good at fencing and archery. That is my specialty. But I would like to be good at casting spells too.'' Renate heard Ranewen speak of her kind. She wanted to know if they killed their victims. Whether they just sucked them dry every time or not. The vampiress chuckled as she listened. It wasn't really like that. Not at all. Not even close. ''It depends on the vampire. Some do kill their victims because they feel like it. But I never did. I drank some of their blood. And when I had had enough, I let them go. None of them died. I always thought it was fun to scare the mortals. Blood of a man or woman in terror tastes really good. But I only drink blood once per three days. If I drink blood every night, I'll become addicted. And then, I will become even more evil and kill my victims. Really evil vampires can't help themselves. I'm evil, but an evil vampire who is in control. A bit anyway.'' Renate laughed at Ranewen's evil idea to kill the dancers. She turned around to stare at them once more. One of them was giving one of the men a lapdance and he was moaning loudly with his eyes closed. Really annoying and perverse. ''Yes, let's stay here till after midnight and kill those dancers. They are a disgrace to womenkind. You can taste some of their blood too. Maybe you'll like it. I'll drink one of them dry. If I drink more than that, I'll have to go to the toilet all day long tomorrow. And that's not good. So, I'll drink one dry, kill her then and in the meantime you can kill the rest. I'll penetrate their necks with my fangs so you can taste their blood and we can write a message. But what do you want to write? Renate and Ranewen were here?'' the vampiress laughed. That sounded silly. And not nearly evil enough. |

Ranewen hadn't like the site of the dancers ether, so she turned her gaze down towards the table, so she could still see Renate's face. She shook her head at the dancers. SHe wanted to make one die right in front of everyone. Then they would know that they would have to think of the women who came into the tavern. She smiled when Renate had commented her o n her black magic. "All I knew was cokld and hatred and... serving them as I grew up. So, I snuck out one night and went to the library, stole a book on black magic, and I began to practice it." She stopped and listened to what else her friend had to say. When she had heard fencing and archery, a smile danced upon her lips. "Do you have a bow on you?" she asked curiously. Ranewen carefully listened to everything Renate had to say. She nodded her head from time to time to let her know that she was listening, and that she wasn't confused. The barmaid walked over just as Renate finished speaking and Ranewen nodded her head. "I'll have the "red" wine please. And, put whatever my friend here wants on my tab as well. Thank you very much and have a nice day," she stated sarcastically. Silently, she added And have your dancers enjoy their last dance. "I see, Renate... They were wrong; I knew it. People come out a live almost every time, unless the Vampire or Vampiress is fully evil or not, correct? And like you had said, it is fun seeing the fear on their faces when you stalk them - that is, if you do - and watch them turn wildly around." Ranewen smirked and sat back in her chair as the waitress had a confused look upon her face. She then shurgged her shoulders as it to say 'Who cares?' and turned to Renate. "What would you like, miss?" she finally asked. She nodded her head in agreement with everything Renate had to say about the dancers. "A disgrace indeed... Whores are disgusting creatures who need to earn a better living. But, I have an idea. What if you suck one almost dry, and give her a choice: to die, or to live a new live. If she chooses a new life, you can make her a Vampire. As for what we will write on the wall... Yassen mela, Tinus en' i' Ithil. It meants, 'With Love, Daughters of the Moon. That is, if you like the sond of it." Smiling, Ranewen patiently waited for her friend's reply. |

Renate frowned. Of course she had a bow. How could she be good at archery if she didn't even own a bow? ''Yes, of course I have a bow. Why do you ask? Would like to borrow it?'' the vampiress asked, confused. Renate smiled at the barmaid. ''I'll have a cup of blood please. I don't like wine,'' she joked and grinned at Ranewen. The barmaid nodded her head as she walked away. Renate laughed. ''Red wine? Is that how you call it, Ran?'' she wanted to know. ''My approach is a bit more direct and less sarcastic. I like both approaches though.'' She listened to Ranewen's words. They agreed with each other and understood each other very well. Her friend her idea was great. That phrase. With Love, Daughters of the Moon. Amazing. She didn't know the language though. ''I think that's a great idea. I love that phrase too. I don't speak that language. What language is it? Do you speak it? It sounds very catchy. I love it. We'll write that in one of the dancer's blood. Maybe we should choose the victim already. Let's see, there are three dancers. They all annoy me. But who should get to choose between life or death? And what do we do to the other dancers? Do we let them run? Or should we kill the other two?'' Renate asked. |

"Well, you never know if you left it somewhere else and didn't bring it with you." Ranewen smiled and nodded towards the dancers. "You said you have excellent aim, right? Perhaps you could shoot one now and pin her to the wall. I have telekinesis, so I can control where the arror hits her and what the blood does." A smirk danced upon her lips as she waited to saee her friend's expression. "They call it red wine here. I guess they chose that name so that people didn't know they were drinking blood. All I wonder is, is where the blood comes from... Have you ever wondered that?" Ranewen asked, shuddering at the thought. When the barmaid returned, she placed both glasses in front of both girls. It looked exactly like normal red wine. "You see what I mean?" Another smile tugged at her lips as she took a sip of it. "It is Elvish. I know some Elvish and some Drow as well. I can write in Quenya, too. It's the handwriting of the Elvish language. I think the one giving the man a lap dance should be killed, and the dancer on the left should haver a choice. The other one... We should hang and put thirteen stab wounds in and then hang her and place the knife in her hand. It'll seem like it had been an act of suicide." Ranewen then continued. "Why thirtween stab wounds? It's the amount of letters in both of our names put together: Ranewen and Renate. Just, don't count the and." Ranewen tried not to laugh as she took another sip of the blood. She could very well be mistaken for a Vampire. And she liked the idea of that. |

Renate listened to Ranewen's evil words and she smiled. It was a smile that promised her evil side was taking over. She would soon lose control completely and commit dark deeds. The vampiress sighed and stared at her new best friend. She was as evil as she was. Well, almost. They would find out now. Could Ranewen actually deliver? Or was she all talk? Renate wasn't. That was for sure. She was a true creature of the night. A daemon. ''Your ideas are quite brilliant,'' she congratulated her. She would indeed shoot one of the dancers. But which one? Tough decision. Renate hesitated for a moment, glancing at the dancers. She frowned and looked at Ranewen. ''I can't decide which one should die first. Who should I aim for?'' she asked, readying her bow and arrow. Renate put her arrow on her bow and stood up, shoving the table back so she had plenty of room to attack. The vampiress loved the element of surprise. And the enemies seemed surprised indeed. The dancers and visiters of the tavern started screaming, but before anyone could leave, Renate shot an arrow at the left dancer. The girl was thrown against a wall and the arrow had hit her heart perfectly. She was dead now and the vampiress couldn't help but smile happily at her well aimed arrow, as the blood of the dead dancer streamed down the girls exposed body. Renate sighed and stepped forward, holding out her hand to taste some of teh girl's blood. She put a finger on the wound and her hand was soon covered in blood. The vampiress put her finger in her mouth and sucked on the blood. It tasted good. Really good. Fresh blood always did. She turned around to face her friend. What would they do now? Oh, yes. Renate remembered and grabbed a dagger to stab the girl thirteen times. Their two names put together. How deliciously evil. Renate held the dagger above the girl her face and stabbed her many times. She hit her arms, legs, stomach and chest. When Renate was done, she was tired. She had gotten a bit carried away. Her face was covered in the girl her blood, that had spat throughout the room and changed the lovely, white walls in red, bloody walls of despair. |

Ranewen leaned one the table that was pushed in her direction and watched, as the tavern became an uproar. Ranewen smirked and held in her laughter and then watched as her friend chopped up this random dancer who had made both of them quite sick. She clapped and watched the dancer die and looked at the arrow, which pierced her heart. She looked around and saw that the dancers were trying to escape through a different door. Ranewen shook her head and summoned a demonic being, which she silently told to go to the door and block the exit. She slowly walked towards one and grabbed her by the hair and yanked her backwards, sending the woman sprawling to the ground. She kicked the girl in the ribs. “Get up. Now, you scoundrel!” she demanded and the woman instantly got to her feet, holding the spot where Ranewen had kicked. “Awww, did poor Rae hurt you?” she asked sarcastically and grabbed the girl by both sides of her face. “Hush little whore, don’t say a word… Rae’s gonna put you in another world…” she said sarcastically and then rapidly twisted the girls head to the side. She heard a crack. And a sickening one it was. It sent a shiver even down her back. She smirked and let the girl go, watching her drop to the floor, her body limp and blood clogging her throat. She was already dead, it seemed, but if she wasn’t, the blood would probably cause her to choke. Ranewen smiled contentedly and took out her blade of chaos and stood over the woman’s body. She sent it down in her chest three times, her arms one each, her legs one each, and eight times aimlessly around her corpse. Her legs were dre3nched in blood, and she was now standing in a pool of it. Stepping away from the dead body, she took a glass and leaned the woman over it, where one of her wounds’ blood dripped into the glass rapidly. Once almost full, Ranewen kicked the woman back onto her back and picked up her glass and drank it slowly. She licked her lips and looked around and back at Renate and smiled. She then looked over at the three remaining dancers and smirked evilly. She sheathed her sword and looked back at Renate. “What shall we do to those three? I say we make them feel pain instead of having an easy, slow death…” She laughed and took a step towards the girls, who were all huddled together and shaking from head to toe. Obviously, they were scared out of their minds and wished that this demon would move out of their way. She scooped up some more blood on the way and then chuck it and then glass at the woman, the glass shattering at their feet. One of the girls collapsed into the other’s arms form the sight of the blood near their feet. Pieces of the glass scraped against the one farthest to the right’s ankle, slicing it open slightly and causing blood to slowly seep out of it. It only made Ranewen want to kill even more |

Renate turned away from the dead woman, hanging on the wall, to face Ranewen. She was attacking one of the dancers and an amused smile appeared on the vampiress her face as she watched her friend kill the second one. First, she kicked her in the ribs and the girl moaned in pain. The sound made Renate smile. When she heard her neck break, her smile widened. Ranewen had potential. A lot of it. When she drank the woman her blood, the vampiress was pleasantly surprised. Why hadn't she thought of that? She was a vampiress after all. Renate approached Rae and smiled appreciativally at her. ''Great idea. Do you mind if I have a taste?'' she asked in a voice as sweet as honey. It was the way Renate talked to her friends. But as soon as an enemy appeared, the tone of her voice would change. It would sound lethal, dangerous and unpredictable. It matched her personality. She seemed like a sweet, darkhaired girl. But once you got to know Renate better, you could clearly see the daemon trapped inside. Renate picked up an empty glass from a crowded table. The woman the glass belonged to screamed in terror as the vampiress moved closer to grab her throat and tighten her grip. ''Shut up, you are but a mere mortal and your power is a laughting matter to me. One sound and I will end your life with a snap of my fingers,'' she threatened and let go of the scared woman. Renate walked back to the woman on the floor and let some of her blood fill the cup. The vampiress raised her arm and tasted the blood in her cup. It tasted almost as good as the blood of her own victim. Its taste was a bit less sweet. Maybe this woman was even more corrupted than the one she had killed. Renate glanced at the remaining dancers. They were trembling all over and their hands were shaking, afraid of what was to come. ''Good question. What to do with the remaining three. Any ideas? I don't mind. I'm pretty open minded. We could let one of them live and give her the chance to better herself. Maybe her stories will encourage others to choose a different way of life.'' Renate looked at Ranewen and waited for her approval or disapproval. She really valued her friend her opinion. And considering she was as evil as the vampiress was, she always had some good ideas up her sleeve. Renate liked creative people. And Ranewen was very creative and likable in a very evil kind of way. |

Ranewen shrugged her shoulders and looked behind her at the crowd still there and smirked, causing them to pull back a bit. She then turned back as Renate started to speak to her and she shrugged once more as she took another step forward. “All three of them, maybe, should live. That way, people won’t think they’re crazy. After all, all of the people behind us probably think they’re hallucinating or it’s a spell of some sort. I’m sure we have made them all scared to death already, no?” It was up to Renate. She didn’t care what they did with the remaining three. Although she wished to kill more, she’d rather watch them suffer. Perhaps even go insane. Now that would be a sight: to see someone go insane over time. “The Raene syndrome they’ll have. Our two names combined. They’ll probably be scarred for life.” She laughed and approached the girl with the cut ankle, the one she didn’t want dead. She yanked her away from the others and pushed her up against a wall and stabbed her sword – after unsheathing it – into the woman’s shirt. “Never come here again, you hear? Never take another step in this tavern. I’ll make sure you don’t. Live your life afraid of the night for all I care, but I will not lay another hand on you once more. Unless you come back here, that is,” She took her sword out of the woman’s shirt and watched her fall to the ground. She pointed towards an open exit and the woman held her shirt together and ran as fast as she could out the door. She then turned towards Renate and stepped towards her and away from the other dancers. “I apologize. I had to let that one go. If that is all you wish to let go, then so be it. We’ll kill the remaining two if you so desire, though I’d rather see them suffer for the rest of their lives. Maybe they’ll commit suicide. You never know.” She smiled and winked at Renate and then looked at the women who were still trembling. The one who had collapsed was finally getting better and could stand on her own now. The other’s eyes looked so terrified Ranewen almost laughed. Anytime, she knew, their legs would buckle beneath them. Looking back at the crowd, she turned her back to the woman and looked at them. She decided it was better not to say anything and kept her mouth shut. She crossed her arms and looked around, before turning back towards Renate and the women, taking a step towards the wall where the first victim hung on the wall. “Lovely wall decoration, don’t you think?” Ranewen mused as she let her fingers pick up some of the blood. Then, on the wall, she wrote Raene and stepped back, looking around once more before letting her gaze travel back towards Renate, wondering if she had decided yet or not. The two women watched in horror as their friends’ blood spilled out onto the floor, their limp bodies still where they had been murdered. Ranewen looked at the arrow, which pierced the first dancer’s heart. She put her foot on the woman’s abdomen and pulled the arrow out. She stepped back and the woman’s body flopped onto the ground lifelessly. The two women whimpered, holding onto each other. Ranewen turned back and looked at the two, eyeing each of them in her devilish way. Then, her red eyes wandered questioningly back towards Renate as a smirk painted her face. |
