Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

She watched him carefully, as she didn't know this man fully. She asked silently, Why not? She thought, though, that it was better not to ask and leave things at that. Instead, she simply stated, "I see..." She yawned and leaned back in her chair, scanning the crowd to see who was stil lwatching her carefully. I could kill them all now, using telekinesis to snap their necks. But i know somehow, someone will find out... I must wait...

Seele ran the whetstone along, not even paying attention. Instead he kept studying Ranewan from underneath th brim of his hat, bright golden eyes shining from the shadows. She's palnnign something, like he said... but what?

The whetstone slippied on the blade, and he watched his had fall onto the newly sharpened blade. It easily sliced through the flesh, leaving a long gask on the inside of his right fist. "Oh..." he pulled the hand off the blade with a squelching sound. "Ouch." He frowned and grabbed a dirty towel off the table that served as a napkin, trying to stem the bleeding, not paying attention to Ranewan for the moment.

She glanced over at him and watched the bleeding. She didn't make any move to help him. She didn't know the spell Heal anymore, she had gotten rid of it once she had become unable to die. She could still feel the pain now and then, but the wounds would heal and she would not die. She blinked a few times and she used telekinesis to stop the blade form falling on his foot. She then let it go to her hand and she held it upright for him. (I'm guessing he let it drop since he needed the other hand to erap it up, right?)

Seele looked up at her and smiled, then looked back at the cut. It was bleeding too much to be good. "Hm. Lucky me." He shrugged and traced a finger down the wound, murmuring the words to an Enervation spell. It crackled along the cut, sealing it in a flame-red line. He moved his hand and winced. It wasn;t bleeding... but hurt like the Abyss. He took the scythe back from Ranewan and smiled at her, then looked around. His second informant would be coming here momentarily... he didn't want him to attempt anything with Ranewan or the other girl.

Ranewen just watched him. She didn't return the smiles. She just continued looking around as he stopped the bleeding. She took another sip of the red wine and when the barmaid came back, she instead ordered ale. "Thanks..." Ranewen muttered so low that it was barely audible. The waitress walked off with a slight smile and she came back moments later with her ale. She gave it to Ranewen. Ranewen flipped up the coin in the air and she caught it as if she treasured every single piece. She shooed the barmaid away as she took a sip and she sat back in her chair. Her eyes travelled a long the crowd once more. Many people seemed to be leaving, but many new people were coming in.
