| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

((Before reading my journal, be aware that If you would like to roleplay any scenario after the first entry, you can PM me and I'll see what I can do)) Today happened to be one of the worst days of my being God of Nature. There was word of a threat in Norwood Forest, and like many other encounters, there was a dark being involved. This time it was a demon named Elhalla, that had been summoned by a dark mage on a dark night for on purpose. To cause destruction. Thinking that this was just another being that wouldn't be to hard to get rid of, I rode into battle upon Gwaith. But I was gravely mistaken. My spells did hardly any damage on the demon, and nor did the spells used by some others who were helping at the time. It seemed as if physical damage was the only way to stop him. However, he was much stronger than he looked. After dealing with the demon for some time, Malorn arrived at the scene in an attempt to subdue the demon. Like always, I thought Malorn would be able to deal with the threat. But, I was forced to watch as Malorn took a spell for me, which seemed as if it had cost his life. At that moment, I felt nothing but sadness, and anger that would soon help me conquer the demon. In Malorn's name, I was able to harvest the powers of the Oaken Saber to vanquish Elhalla, but I knew that I was not going to be the same. I could feel within me something change, but the only thing I could focus on was Malorn. So I quickly ran from the seen, in an attempt to get back to my temple as soon as possible. As I walked into my temple, I was greeted by Gwaith. It seemed that he too was different, but I didn't pay much attention as I found the stairs to the roof where Malorn laid. Once upon the roof, there was no doubt in my mind that he was indeed dead. But something about him made me feel as if he were still alive. Though I couldn't quite put a finger on it. Remembering how the priest of the city I used to live in had helped me before, I instructed Laer to go retrieve the priest. Hopefully he will hear my call, as I need to know more about the situation. As for now, I must get rest. I've suffered enough today. But now a vow, that in the name of Malorn, I vanuish all negative forces from Nature. I will not take my time, and I will stop and no cost. |

One night has passed by since the death of my companion Malorn. The day has been very eventful, and has presented me with much knowledge. Laer did as he was asked by visiting the priest, but the priest had sent someone who he felt had more knowledge of the situation that he did. Laer returned with a tall female, human of race, who claimed to be one of the high druids of the forest. I didn't doubt her claim one bit, especially because of how she presented herself as a source of great knowledge. However, she presented me with something that I could not believe. She held forth her hand, and within her palm was the tiniest of dragons. An obvious newborn. As she had introduced herself, Karigne explained to me that this young dragon was Malorn. I couldn't believe what she said, as I had just been by his side on the roof of the temple just moments ago. I will attempt to depict the dragon as best I can. ![]() That is the newborn Malorn in Karigne's hand, which shows just how small he was. I couldn't be happier, but I still felt the more dominant anger in my mind. However, Karigne explained that she would be keeping Malorn for the time being, until he was once again old enough to guard the forests. Karigne told me though, that she could sense the change of attitude in me. She recommened that I take a dragon of hers to tame, and the dragon she explained was a Hellfire Dragon. At first, I thought that I wouldn't be able to control the beast from causing havoc and destruction. But, something came over me and I felt as if I had to do it. Once that was done with, Karigne left after promising to return soon with the Hellfire Dragon. She also told me that tomorrow I will be visited by several other high druids, that will induce changes. I'm not quite sure what it meant, but I knew that change was indeed needed. |

Well I am certainly in shock after all that had happened today. Though I can honestly say, I like the changes. Karigne has not yet brought the Hellfire dragon as promised, but several other High Druids visited me today. They did not speak of their names, but they were in every way kind and understanding. Though as they entered the temple, one of the druids carried a double-bladed staff in his right hand. We sat and talked for a while, and the druids informed me that this staff was indeed a better weapon for me than my sword. I willingly handed over my Oaken Saber as they had asked, and watched as they pulled five of the six green diamonds from the saber's hilt. With several words of the forest, the druids placed the diamonds into the open-center of the staff, and I watched as they formed a glowing orb of green light. I picked up the weapon, and swung it around as I got the feel for it. I can truly say that I am very pleased with the new weapon, which I have yet to name. I was handed back the Oaken Saber, and told that I could dispose of it at my will. The druids then asked for both my silver bow, and daggar of celestial fire. Without any hesitance, I retrieved the items and handed them to the druids. They then said they would return later in the day. Just after the sun had set, the druids returned with what looked like two entirely new weapons. First one of the druid handed me a daggar which he explained was the 'Daggar of the High Druids'. This daggar was very powerful, and full of the powers of nature. Another druid then handed me a bow, which he explained was 'Malorn's Bow of Hope'. Just the sound of Malorn's name caught my attention, as I was told how this bow would turn any arrows placed in it into magically nature imbued arrows, which were by far very powerful. I could tell that these weapons were of great power, and I knew that they would help me in my times of cleansing the forest. However, now I hope to add a different approach to my methods. |
