| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Zin stood up, nodding silently. She paused, then pulled out a few coins from a pocket. "My treat, 'kay?" A grin flickered across her face, stabalizing and laughing at the fear and horror she'd felt moments before. The voice was gone again. She reclaimed her empty mug and tossed it into the air with one hand, watched it flip end over end, and caught it. "After you." |

Adia answered with a giggle as Zin tossed and then caught her mug, easily delighted by the small feat. But then she remembered the thought of sweets and she held open the door leading out of the tavern. Normir seemed to rouse himself from where he was perched on the chair back. And he was off and out the door. His flight carried him up above the town and he began to lazily circle overhead. Adia, with Maeve still holding onto her shoulder, skipped out the tavern. She turned after three steps, looking back to Zin and waiting for her. |

Zin gave a small laugh, following Isithradia, and smiled. She moved her hand through the movements of one of her spells, and murmured the words, easy to obtain the thread of magic needed for this spell, almost too easy. She ducked as a living bit of cloud flew at her head, then contented itself with circling her calmly. "This is Fade Out." She smiled. "If you want, you can just call...." Zin paused, eyeing the wisp, "It." She ducked a sudden attack from the wisp. "Wisp, if you want to." |

“Hi!” Adia giggled and smiled, waving at the wisp. It was such a cute little creature. A little odd looking, it being a ball of light, but cute nonetheless. She smiled at it again before looking up at Zin. She slipped her hand into one of Zin’s hands and smiled up at the older girl. “The store is this way,” she announced and tugged at her hand so they could start towards it. |

Zin smiled, she couldn't help it. The little girl was absolutely adorable, in the way that only little kids are. The...the innocence of childhood thing, that was it. She had that. Zin followed Adia to the candy store, and put several coins on the counter. "Find something you like, 'kay?" |

Isithradia nodded rapidly and, slipping her hand out from Zin’s, darted off to inspect the rows of shelves that the store boasted. Ooo, that looked good... But then so did that. So much to choose from. Adia stood eyeing the sweets, held still for the moment by indecision. Then her mind was made up and, with her head tilted back, she focused her gaze on a small bag of assorted sweets on one of the shelves. One of the higher shelves I might add. She jumped, trying to grab it but she didn’t come close. She tried a second time, then a third yet each time her hand met only air. “Zin, I can’t get it!” She looked back to the older girl, a sad pout on her face while she pointed up at where the bag rested on the shelf. |

Zin looked over at Isithradia for a momant, then nodded. She walked over to the shelf, and found that she couldn't reach it on her first try. There was a look of stunned shock on her face, then she snarled, and hopped up, carefully placing one onto the bottom shelf. She carefully climbed up, and closed her hands around the bag, then dropped back to the floor, to be confronted by a rather angry wisp that attempted to smack her face for her insolence, but failed, being a wisp. The storekeeper however, gave her a dirty look, that made her grin weakly, and turn, in an attempt to ignore it. "Anything else?" She grinned. |

Adia watched curiously as Zin attempted and then, when she’d gotten it, clapped her hands in delight. She didn’t noticed the dirty look the storekeeper had shot at her companion, she was smiling up at the older girl. “Nuh uh,” she shook her head, “That’s all I need... Don’t you want anything?” |

Zin smiled happily, and pulled a bag of salt water taffys from the shelf. "This should do." She laughed. "I was just making sure." She gave the storekeeper a few coins, and offered Isithradia the bag of sweets. carefully putting her own in her backpack. |

“Yay!” Adia smiled up at her as she accepted the bag of sweets. “Thank you Zin!” With the bag clutched tightly in one small hand she hugged, or attempted to at least, Zin. She wasn’t that tall so she was basically hugging the half-elf’s legs but that didn’t bother her. |

Zin laughed lightly. "It's no big deal! Really!" She couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed, as she really didn't view it as any big thing at all, just a nice thing to do for another. |

Adia pulled back after a moment and smiled up at Zin. She seemed to be smiling a lot but then that was normal for her when she found someone she liked. Absentmindedly, she seemed to do things like normally, she popped a small blue piece of candy into her mouth and began to munch on it, thinking. “Hey Zin?” She swallowed, placed another piece of candy in her mouth and continued, “Whaddya want to be when you grow up?” Never mind the fact that she half-elf could already be considered ‘grown up’ at least by human standards. |

"Hm?" The half-elf blinked, then looked over at the girl in shock. "What do I want to be?" She'd started to dig around in the bag of taffy, and her head had snapped up, and there was a look of disbelief on her face as she'd down. "...That's simple, when I think about it..." She tugged a taffy free of the wrapper, gnawed on the end thoughtfully. "Archmage. Always liked magic, always thought it'd be the best thing to do." She paused. "What about you?" She punctuated the question by flopping down to the floor beside the girl. |

“An arch mage? That’s neat!” Adia smiled as she settled down on the floor beside Zin, Maeve flying off from her shoulder to go do ‘pixie things’. “I don’t know what I want to be.” She continued to think over the question as two more pieces of candy disappeared into her mouth. And then her face screwed up in a look of disgust and she spit out one of the pieces of candy. “Yucky, I don’t like lemon.” |

Zin laughed, grinning. "You don't need to decide soon, you still have plenty of time." She sighed. "You've got so many years stretching ahead of you, and I'vw got so many going in front of me and so many stretching back. Well..." She giggled. "Not that many stretching back, but it's a start." |
