Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Jeff La Clowd sits in his favorite squishy armchair near the fire. Downing the last of his ale in a gulp, he hiccoughs a little, and dozes a bit. Dreaming lightly. He dreams of how amazing it would be to be God of Magic. He dream,s of how much power he could have, manufacturing new spells, controlling the others. Suddenly he is awoken by his insane pets, whom he finds are often smarter than he. "Jeff! Wake Up!"

He snaps into awareness, realizing he has dropped his ale and a little has spilledo n the floor.

"AUGH GEEZ! I always get the floor dirty!" He looks angry.

His pixie and wisp attepmt to help, but his wisp phases through everything. Relinquishing his attempt, Cirrus floats lazily into the comfortable chair, cloaking himself as a man. The pixie snaps er fingers and the ale dissappears. The mug is back on the counter, sliding down toward the bartender, empty. It flies down the bar, right into the 'tender's hand. Jeff msiles and pats his pixie's head. She has really grown to respect him since the little outburst in The street a few days ago.

Zin, slacking off on the job as usual, was casually-and slowly-giving out the ale and wine that had been ordered by the regulars, not-so-regulars, and newcomers to the Tavern. She smiled sweetly at the sight of a rather rude customer, who was verbally abusing another waitress, and 'slipped' spilling a tray of drinks on the offender.

"Terribly sorry sir! I can't believe that happened!" She seemed to be horrified, but inside she was smirking, and in her voice there was just the smallest hint of sarcasm. She snapped the mugs up from off the floor, and headed to get new ones, her step quicker than before, and a smirk playing across her face.

She stopped, looking around the tavern after passing out the remaining drinks, to see a pair of travelers at a table without a single drink on the table. She stared at them for a few moments, then shrugged, and swept over to the table.

She smiled, and asked them if they'd like to order something to drink.

Zoe stood behind the bar, grilling a slab of pork. She fixed it up and traded it with a costumer for some gold. Seeing as if everyone had ordered, Zoe smirked to herself as she absentmindly scrubbed the grill of excess fat and burnt crust.

Zoe started to polish the bar, and washed the spatula and everything else she worked with.

She looked across the bar, bored with no work. She looked and saw someone in the squishy armchair at an odd blue fairy. She smiled and walked over, "Hey! Welcome back to the elfsong tavern and inn!" She smiled warmly, knowing that he was a regular. "Can I get ya anything to eat?"

"Not to eat thanks... full m'self... But could you bring me a bucket ans a sponge? I made another mess on the floor... At least it's not lbood /this/ time." he moans aloud, rembering all the messes he's madethusfar. He's a regular menace. "I can pay for it if it's stained the floor" he sighs, pulling out his gold back, with much protest from Alyshund. She uses ist as part of her nest, the roof. "Oh come down yous stupid filthy litt- OW! IT BIT ME! I"LL HAVE YOU IN THE LAKE WITH A SLAB TIED TO YOUR LEG! IT BIT ME! IT /BIT/ ME!" he flips out on the pixie, bouncing around, spurting blood. Knocking over a table in his usyual clumsiness, hem oan aloud again and says "Can I have a room? It looks like it's going to take me a while to clean this up" he casts Minor Healf on his finger and it stops bleeding.

"umm..." was all she could say with that awkward sight. She had actually prepared for this. She knew his actions well enough at the inn that she has a bucket and sponge wherever he is. She pulls one out under the table and sets it down infront of him. "Yes, you may have a room." She states as she made her way back to the bar.

He smiels as she walks away, watching her go, then sighs deeply, heading toward the floor mess he made. Scrubbing first the blood spot, as to prevent staining, he finishes that up and moves to the ale. The floor is slightly discolored where the stain from the ale is. ?Sighing, he picks up the upturned table and puts the condiments and seasonings back in place. Picking up his gold bag off the floor, he brusehs some of the blood off, and Alyshund growls "And now you got blood on my roof"

"IT'S /NOT/ YOU ROOF!" he protests, thrusting the "roof" back nito his pack, fixing any other messes He made that I forgot to name in this post ((OoC: :P))

Grinning broadly at a job well done, he waits for the Night Shift to begin, so that he can perform. People begin filnig into the taver as usual, it's a good place to be. Much nicer than the one in -ugh- Kellen. He rembers Kellen unhappily. Noone would pay him. No one would help him. He'd had to resort to... stealing... to get a room.
