| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Zoe walked in, this time accustomed to the place. She had been there once before and she found no company. She shrugged the thought off and gently sat down by the fire...it was wonderful to get out of the coldness outside. Zoe danced in her head while looking around. She sighed and watched the fire. Boredom. But hey...sitting down is a good rest. She hasn't sat down in a chair in a while...shes mainly walk, walk, walk, swim, walk, walk, walk, fly, walk, walk, walk. Zoe enjoyed the comfort of the chair as she enjoyed the warmth of the fire. |

He stepped in and looked around, his eyes glaring over the room. He quickly qalked over to the bar and grabbed a bottle of liquor that happened to be laying on the counter. He took a swig as he watched over the room, the bartender asked if he was going to pay but one look from Schatten made him shut up. The Bartender just went about his duties. And Schatten just watched the room with a glare before turning back to the bar and tipped from the bottle. |

Zee Zee watched this man come in and slobber over his drink. She watched him not pay for his drink. She scowled at this. She checked the sundail. Zoe gasped, it was almost time for her first shift. She didn't want to be late for her first day! She got up and walked behind the bar. She clocked in and put on her apron. She tied her hair in a ponytail and had 2 put on a hairnet. She grabbed her spatula and stood over the grill. She talked to the bartender about the mans rudeness. If he was gonna order something she was gonna make sure he was gonna pay. Meanwhile, she had an order for a salad so she set down her spatula and started 2 toss... |

Looked a bit annoyed whe nthe bartender walked over to him again and demanded that he pay or he'd call the Talas Imperial Guard. Schatten just stared him right in the eye, and said 'Then you better get them now cause in 5 seconds you won't have a head to scream for them.' The bartender just gasped and quickly yelled for the guards. Five well geared guards ran in, and looked at the bartender. But before he could point to Schatten, Schatten slashed his head clean off his body with his Katana. He turned towards the guards. 'Talas's Imperial Guards... against a Shadow Assassin. I just have one question, do you feel lucky?' The leader yelled at one of his men to charge him, and Schatten counter charged the man, and leaped over his pike and hit him with a spinning heel kick that since the man to the floor. He got up but to back kick a oncoming Trident upwards and drive his Katana into the Trident's owners gut. He pulled it out in time to block a oncoming sword from the leader. The enchanged blows, then Schatten saw the guard getting up out the corner of his eye, and quickly, while still fueding off the leader, gave him a back kick in the stomach. As the man doubled over in pain, Schatten in one move turned around, sliced his head off and turned around fully again to countine trading sword shoits with the leader. He saw one of the other two charge at him with his Trident and Schatten quickly back fliped and watched as both men drove their leader through the door and into the street with their spears. He was about to walk out after them but shouts of more guards were quickly heard. Schatten quickly ripped a pieces of a curtian, grabbed a bottle of liquor from a table and set the peice of cloth on fire, stuff the nonflaming part into the bottle, and threw it at the door. He then quickly dived out a window on the other side and disappeared into the night. |

Zoe was blocked off from one of the gaurds, but she had her Katana out and ready, And she was in fighting stance. Now the gaurds have gone and the tavern was set on fire. She screamed swear words, certain noone would hear her. She grabbed a sack or sand from the corner and dashed after the fire. pouring sand over the flaming cloth. "No *bleep*ing way the tavern is burning down on my first dar here!!!" And she put out the fire. She gave a sketch as to what the man looked like to the gaurds, who came by shortly after. He was banned from the tavern...atleast on my watch. She set down her apron, and walked out the door. |

Connodor walked into the tavern and ordered a drink he heard people chatting about some crazy man trying set the tavern on fire and that he killed the bartender. Connodor looked around and found people taking away bodies to be buried. " why do they even bother creating a big commotion with the crimes..they shouldn't care as almost nothing in this town hadn't been destroyed and rebuilt already " he muttered to himself as he watched all the people talking while taking a sip of his ale |

Jeff La Clowd the Whimsical Bard burst in to give his usual performance, but not seeing half a man's head on the floor, slips and falls. Covered in blood, he yells "Gods Damn It! What the Hell happened here!?!?!?!" he attempts to brush the blood off to no avail! "And where's Schmitty?! I need a drink!" Looking down, he notices it the bartender Schmitty's half-a-head on the ground. Fainting, he collapses in a pile on the floor. |

Only entering the bar in time to feel the rush of the five guards past her and the doorway explode into a furious fire, Ciara sighs, shaking her head as she pulls down the hood of her cloak to reveal the long, soft gray tresses behind her. They were unusually curly, having been curled by her new pixie friend, Alys. Alys was found in her cloak pocket, tsking the fire and rushing off to aide Zoe in putting out the fire which was now behind Ciara. As she had made her way to the bar, she heard a man call for a drink. Turning her head, her saddened teal eyes found Connodor and holds out a hand, motioning for him to wait for just another moment. "Please Milord, allow me to clean up this mess first. I will be right will you Milord." Her bare foot stepping into something a bit warmer than ale and thicker than any wine, she looked down. Gasping at the large pool of blood which had fallen upon the wood planks of the floor. "Schmitty!" Her voice had been nothing but a whisper, but she hurried behind the counter, unclasping her cloak and whirling it off around her to reveal a long white peasants dress. Her brow furrowed into a displeased expression, her eyes turning a bit cold as she called out to gather Connodor's order as she readied a fresh bucket of water and the long handled mop from the corner. "Milord, what is it that you would like to drink? I will fix it for you quickly seeing as my duties are not light. My apologies Milord, for such disturbances." There was no smile upon her face now, he sighed heavily as she brushed at the feathers of her large gray wings, folding them comfortably behind her back as she carried the bucket in both hands to where poor Schmitty had fallen. Another was down with him and she thought him dead but upon looking for closely, she found that the bard had only passed out from the sight. Shaking her head, she sighed once more, looking about, looking a bit lost as she scanned for a place to lift him until just after she could clean up the body of schmitty. Two guards once again entered, the flaming doorway now just looking charred, but usable, the stench of the fire still in the air. Catching sight of Ciara, bent low in her white dress beside Schmitty, they came to her aid moving the body, and the head, outdoors so she might better clean the mess. She was standing when they re-entered and an angered look covered her face, her eyes now a bit more silver than teal. "I expect that you will be compensating us for such damages or at least find this scoundrel so that he might do so himself. We are down one man and a doorway, who is going to pay to rework all of this?" She was growing more furious as the owner of the tavern hadn't yet come back when Alys came back, whispering into Ciara's ear. "And two bottles of ale and that curtain over there. It is madness to just allow this man to disappear and leave us here in such ruins." She pointed out to the missing curtain as she picked up the mop, drowning it into the water. She still waited for Connodor's order while she began to clean up the spilt blood upon the floor. |

Zoe had been sitting under a tree trying to calm down when she saw a commotion by the tavern. Feeling that she could help, having witnessed the entire thing, she got up and limped torward the Tavern. She hadn't noticed that almost her entire left half of her body has been burned...Yet the only thing that was burned on her head was the sides of her ears. Her entire left leg blas bloody and black from the flames and same as her arm. Her arm it went in a little deeper and she couldnt move it at all! Her sides were swollen and white from a 2nd degree burn (the arm was protecting most of it). The left leg of her pants was burned off (They stopped and it made a short short side...nothing revealing). none the less, Zoe was was strong as she coukd be and limped to the tavern. She burst throught the door of the tavern and winced with the pain. She could barely utter out the words without blinking back tears from the pain. "Anything i can help with?" |

It was before the guards could answer her about the damages that the cook returned, shocking her with a horrible sight. Ciara again gasped out loud, racing for Zoe's side. "Milady! What happened, did you get caught in that fire?" It surprised her that anyone would get that close and she hadn't realized that the fire had erupted just near Zoe. She flushed, her eyes even more turning red now as the anger built inside her. Pointing toward a few men that had sat through most of the commotion, she ordered them to take Zoe to the back of the bar so that she might receive healing. As the men did as she asked, Ciara took her place again in front of the guards. "You see? You see all the damage that has been done? Why don't you do something about this all, I expect you are to reimburse this all, or are you not?" She scowled at them as she finished the mopping as the guards stepped back to discuss the matters. Once she did, the guards had already finished their discussion and helped Ciara with most of the other clean up. They had made sure the doorway had been properly set out and that a new curtain was tied up, even if only for the time being. "Our apologies Ma'am, we assure you that this villain will not escape easily." The one had tried to assure her, though her attentions went to Zoe who was now resting in a part of the tavern that wasn't being used. "Yes Ma'am and we promise to tell The Lord right away. He will get wind and we will do our best to get you the proper aide." The second one had spoken if not right after the first and Ciara knew that there was little they could do, if anything at all. The villain was now already out of the City if he had known what he was doing. She didn't bother to wave them away, but turned and bent down so that she might look up at Zoe once again. She dared not reach out for her, in fright that she might harm her more, even with the most careful of touches. "Milady, are you alright? Tell me what happened?" The guards had turned to leave and the men that Ciara had had helping her had went back to their drinks. Ciara wondered if her greater heal might heal these wounds and fingered the spell book at her side. While waiting for a response from the cook, she whispered the words of her elder sorcerers. "Daer fallanien." A lavender light formed below her hands and she raised them to the burnt side of Zoe. |

Zoe was amazed. The greater heal worked! She would have been just fine if it didn't...she has learned how to survive in the worst conditions without any sort of magic. She watched as her leg stitched up...then her side returning to normal coloring, and her arm was returned its flesh and it was moveable again. It did not all work, however. There were still scratches and blood scathed the renouned flesh of the burnt side. The parts that werent still bleeding you could see visible deep scars. She never was one to cope well with healing spells. It was almost if they try to purposely avoid her...or that her childhood strengh had prevented her from accepting the magic. Either way, what was done was done. Zoe was speechless for words. The searing pain was gone! It hurt a little bit still, but it was -alot- less than it has been. "oh thank you so much!" she exclaimed with great gratitude. She was so joyful! She then decided to get back to her question. It would be rude to leave someone with a question. hmm...Zoe uses the explaination to asnwer because it would be rude not to...though Zoe isn't that polite at sometimes, expecially if you get her in a bad mood. she started out with her story, not wanting to make it too long. "Well I came in and I started my shift. There was this rude person that refuse to pay for his drink. His name was Schatten...I heard from around the town. I did not know him personally, But nevermind. Im going off topic." Zoe took a breath and continued with her story, constantly reminding herself to stay on topic. "The bartender demanded that 'e'd pay, Schatten threatened him and the 'tender called security, Schatten swung out his sword and sliced off 'is bloody 'ead!" Zoe's eyes went wild with remembrance. "I had my Katana out, but he grabbed two ale and set the bar aflame! I rushed to set it out, where I unknowledgeably got badly burned. I set off out of the tavern to go cool off. Then I saw a commotion and came back." Zoe took a long breath. She was winded. |

Jeff stirs a bit, He is still rather bloody, they had done teir best to clen him, but he is still stained with blood nonetheless. "Aye, no... I'll be see'in thestrals after that un." he seethes and uses his staff as a support. His ankle is twisted in an extremely ugly manor. It seems the bone was inches from piercing through. Casting Heal 'pon his leg, it glows a little green color, and it twists back. His leg makes a loud crackling noise and the bones re-align. He winces in pain as it moves. He excercises his jaw a bit, then stands up. He is only half the size of a normal fairy, rather short indeed, with a Staff just his size. It is a beautiful weapon. With a snowglobe atop. Unfortunately, noone knows what a snowglobe is ack then. His Pixie looks unhappy as she comes out from his pocket. "I absolutely detest being so small! Dear Jeff, You were laying on me that entire time!" She shakes a bit. A wisp floats along after the pixie, creating an aura suggesting a frown. You sat on ME the whole time. It practically shouts at him, mntally. Everyone else hears it too. His pseudodragon growls unnapprecieatedly at him "Rawr!" is all it says. "Hey, sorry guys, I didn't do it on purpose! He frowns "Oh... pooor Schmitty..." |

Only shaking her head, she turns from Zoe, wondering if she will need to tend to the cooking as well. There was much she needed to do already and she hurried to get the man his drink. "Don't you worry dear, you just sit there and rest up." Her eyes had wandered toward Zoe for a moment, and as they fell back to the duties in front of her, she cursed under her breath. Looking at the door and then to the window, her eyes narrowed, hoping that the bully would return for a fair fight. Shaking away the thoughts, she gasped, wondering where they had come from. It wasn't often that she had thought such things and they had come more frequently as the days went by. Instead, she buried herself in work, serving the drinks to the locals and visitors from far off lands. A polite and welcoming smile upon her face and even sparkling in the corner of her eyes. |

Jeff stretchs and his creaturs go back their proper places. His evil pixie goes back into her "nest". The wisp upon his shouder, and the pseudodragon back into his backpack... type... thing... Walking up to the bar, he orders, "A light tea please, mint, if y'have any." he sighs. This was no time for alchohol. He was on a mission. He had to avenge the bartender he had grown to know. He wasb't sure exactly what todo, but he had to do it now. |

Nodding toward Jeff, she turned from him quickly, filling a few orders for their popular ale before picking up a nicer looking goblet and filling it with a tea she had just made. It smelt delicious and she wondered if she couldn't sneak a break here soon to take a taste for herself. But getting back to what needed to be done, she fluidly turned back, a bright and welcoming smile upon her face as she set the goblet atop the bar and reached into a bowl for a sprig of mint. Neatly adjusting it into his drink, she let it fall. "There ye go Milord. I do hope you enjoy your drink." Before she could get a thank your or anything other than that, she had turned back, her eyes lighting as hands raised and shouts were made for more ale or wine or whatever. There was a laugh in her eyes as a group of local men teased her. Some time ago she might have crawled back to the mountain top, but now, she stood her ground and laughed along with them. Pulling her long gray hair back, she placed it into a high and loose bun, securing it with a few polished sticks that her fae had made for her when she had disappeared. The Other World. Ciara shuddered at the thought, wiping her hands off upon her apron and went back to working happily as though the thought never occured.[/COLOR] |
