Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

It's hard for a vampire not to stick out. It's even harder when the vampire has a set of rotting, undead wings sprouting from his sholderblades. A vampire does not usually have wings. It is a trait that Zorgn paid for with money, and horrible pain. That is not to say it wasn't worth having them grafted there. They allowed him to fly, not only was flying very handy in Zorgn's book, it made him even more dangerous than when he could attack only from the ground.

Standing up, Zorgn left the table he was at and went over and sat across from the drow who was staring at him. "What? Do I seem out of place here or something?"

No i was just admiring ur wonderful wings, they make a necromancer look better and i bet they add even more of a scare to ur opponents.

Zorgn was a little annoyed at this, but he tryed to be calm. "They shed though. What're you doing up here? I thought the drow lived underground." Zorgn began picking up bits of his wings that had fallen onto the bar. Calling for the bartender, he ordered a drink.

Noting the two of them and the call for her, Ciara brushed at the feathers of her gray wings, tucking them behind her comfortably as she set on a smile. She picked up a rag from a the bucket beneath the bar and dampened it with fresh water before she made her way to the men. A vampire.. Could he know him? No, it is foolish of me to ask now. He has left this world for another I am sure or gone mad.. It isn't safe for me to know. It isn't safe for him to find me here...

Cleaning up the bar before them, she brightened her smile, a bit of curiosity hiding behind it though her revealing teal eyes could not push it all away. "What is it I can do for you to day Milord? We have a fine ale, brought all the way from the dwarfs in the Gwilikith Mountains or a delicious wine I hear from the elves in Deep Woods. Both a fine choice Milord."

The smile beamed from her as she truly enjoyed the position she had been accepted to. It wasn't much, but it kept her safe and in hiding, away from those that might find and take her back to the Otherworld. She leaned back, imagining what her own wings must look like upon her. It had been difficult for her to find a mirror that could capture all of her form nowadays.

Brushing back her long, straight, gray hair, she rested both hands upon the bar now, waiting for their order to be called.

I will take the wine as for my friend i dont know what he will take. The Drow sat there waiting for his friend to place his order. While he sat there he realized how uneasy it is for him to sit there. His Draconic wings were rubbing against the chair, Azarous stood up and just stander there. After about thirty seconds he said, Are you going to place your order...?

She had waited, but only for a moment before she turned her back to grab down a crystal goblet for the wine. Looking in their direction, she smiled politely. She spot, loudly over the dull roar of the tavern occupants, as she did, her elfin accent showed itself as it always did when she spoke loudly. "Allow me to gather your wine for you Milord, please just shout the other order so that I might fill it if I have not finished with your own." She walked down the bar, her free hand trailing slowly upon the bar top as she stopped just before the end, looking up at their stock of wine.

Ciara usually decided upon the wine for her guests, if they didn't ask for anything specific. It had only been a few days since she had begun as a barmaid, but she learned quickly which races preferred which drinks.

Her smile widened as she spotted the bottle of what they called 'Blood Wine'. It was something that she often found the drow and undead to like while sitting and chattering away on vicious tales or jobs. Setting down the goblet upon the bar, she stepped up upon her stool, reaching toward the top and bringing it down as slow as she could as to not drop the bottle.

Zorgn shook his head and stared as little pink elephants jumped around on the table top. "I'm gonna stay away from the drink for now. I think it's starting to get to my head." Zorgn was trying to figure what was going on when his wisp zoomed across the room waving an illusionary sign that read 'Space for rent' and had a picture of Zorgn's head at the bottom of the sign. Zorgn ressisted the urge to shoot at the thing, he would never be able to hit the wisp, it moved too fast.

Azarous laughed...Just as his pixie flew over to Zorgn's wisp and asked, How much for the space...I'll give you that Drow sitting there at the table... Azarous stood up and chased the little pixie around the tavern.

Ciara only giggled. It was daily now that odd occurrences had happened throughout the tavern. She wiped her hands on her apron just before she picked up the goblet again and set it atop the bar. Stepping back, she watched as the man chased the pixie about. It was comical and had her giggling still.
