Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

It was close to midnight as a young girl no older then 10 years old came stagering through the streets, towards the Inn. She walked to the desk, and finnally calapsed, she was egsausted for she had been walking for three straight days, with no food or water. Her breathing was sharp and irregular as she looked around her, there were no familiar faces here, good, no one here knows me. Relief flooded through her, as she put her head on the side of the desk she was half asleep.

Tamris watched the elf girl stagger into the inn. She was deep in the shadows, so no one would see her. The half-elf's eyes glittered black as she watched and noted the sheer exhaustion... and read the aura. It told her she had been traveling for a long time straight, but Tamris couldn't be sure how long. She grimaced, debating with herself for a moment, then stood and silently toed her way to the desk. She was still nearly invisible, though a good set of eyes would detect her. And if that didn't, then her aura presence would give her away as well. Tamris didn't say anything though, she just watched the elf curiously, wondering if she should end the girl's life or if she should leave. The assassin stood there for a while, waiting. Her hands slipped down to her swordbelt. It could have been a guise, but Tamris doubted it. Lack of discipline showed itself well. The half-elf's voice was low and quiet. "That's not the safest place to fall asleep,"

Raine saw the wierd event unfold. The ten year old girl asking that lady for work?
He put his arm on her shoulder, and smiled to the older woman helping her.
"You all right?" He asked. Kids these days...start drinking at such a young age...

Alayia walked covered in a long black cloak into the taveren. She looked around and sat in a dark corner. She looked around seeing if anyone had the mark of her assissians. None had the same mark. In a corner a small group of people caught her attention. One of them appeared to be young. Standing up she walked over to the bar tender and ordered a drink then she sat back down sipping in the cool liquid savoring it and letting it wash away all of her pain and suffering. She kept watching the group of people keeping mark of their every moves as to be aware if anyone tried to attack her...

Lady Renate Villerius

Renate entered the tavern. She was thirsty and she sat down at one of the tables. It was crowded and the men were celebrating. A waiter came and Renate ordered a drink and something to eat. She was starving. She hadn't eaten for days. She had had a long journey and was glad her luck had improved.

"...And so, like every other tale,
we end
But, be not distrought, my friends,
For if you're careful, make no mistake,
That angel may be yours to take."

Jessoko finished her lively little comedy of a song with a pretty little flourish. There were cheers from the crowed, but they soon died down. Jess picked up her harp, and packed it away in her pack. Not a bad night. She said, feeling accomplished. Eight songs for a plate of food and a room to stay in. It seems like a fair enough trade.

She made her way to a table stationed in the corner of the tavern, by a window. She put her bag on the chair next to her, and sat, dazedly staring out the window. She sighed. I wonder where I'll head off to next. Am I even going to leave, tomarrow? She cupper her hands, and rested her chin on her palms, staring blankly out at the patrons.

The tavern was such a lively place, it was amazing that she noticed them. But there, in the corner opposite of her, was a very young girl, an elf, and a woman. A man was standing next to the girl, his hand on her shoulder. Her parents, perhaps...? Her peircing blue eys twinkled as she examined the three, tyhe saphire upon her brow twinking in the light from the lanterns that hng in the tavern. No, they can't be. I wonder what they're doing...

"Pardon me, Miss," Came the cheerful voice of a barmaid. Jessoko looked up, with a smile. "Can I get you something?"

"Oh, umm..." Jessoko shrugged a little. "Just a plate of whatever food you have to offer a bard, and a goblet of water."

"No wine or ale for you, dear?" She sounded suprised.

Jessoko laughed a little. How could she drink that? it was like a poison to her voice. She could not sing if she could not think clearly. "No, just water."

"I'll 'ave it out fer you in a moment then, dear." The barmaid smiled, and walked through the crowed towards the counter.

"Thank you..." Jessoko whispered. She knew she would not be heard, but she couldn't help being polite. It was her second nature, programed into her being so that her true feeling would never be put forth. She gave a heavy sigh, and rested her head on the table.
