| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Walking along with Ciara he begins to look around, knowing they were getting close to the Mountain. He feels the breeze still flowing through the area, but now he feels drops of water. Looking to the skies he notices that clouds had run over the area and it was now raining...or starting to at least. He looks back toward Ciara, taking off his open shirt and places it lightly around her. He didn't want her getting a chill, and he rather enjoyed the rain. He hears a dragon hovering the sky, yet he feels no immediate threat from it. Continuing on toward the mountains he felt the rain gaining speed and strength. He knew it would be quite the storm soon, so he begins to look for a place they could stay until the storm ran out. He felt the wind whipping around, growing much colder, and like the rain, much stronger. Looking about he notices a small cavern made by fallen rocks from the mountain side, he didn't care where it was from. Looking to Ciara he points toward the cavern, he says to her in a heightened voice due to the rain now "We should stay here, at least until the rain lessens." He awaits her response, growing very cold himself due to the winds and the frost from the heightened plains. |

Ciara smiled up to Kayden, his hair soaked from the rains. His eyes still showing a soft side to her as he suggested that they stop for the storm. She was from the mountains, had learned to adapt with the cold and the winds, but seeing Kayden somewhat chilled she agreed with him that it was a good idea. Nodding, she tried to speak over the rain, hoping her soft voice would carry. That sounds like a good idea, I would hate to get caught in the worst of this. She smiled weakly, almost losing her balance as they walked on toward the cavern. Then thought to herself about the kindness Kayden was showing to her even after only the short time he had gotten to know her. As they settled in, she moved to the back of the cavern which was their shelter from the winds and the rain, but was much darker than the outside. She stood in the back of the cavern, watching him happily. You have such a kindness within you Kayden. So strong and protective. She let out a content sigh, glad that she had come with him on his travels, then only wished she would have stopped to pick up her pack and perhaps the heavy cloak that she hardly went anywhere without. But Ciara had wanted to head out first thing, it seemed to be of great importance to her new friend and it would have only set them behind. It had been a long walk to the beginnings of the Dragon Spine Mountains, there was both chatter and silence. Even in the silence there was a comfort though, just having him beside her made her feel like something special, that she had someone looking out for her. Closing her eyes, she realized that again there was a long silence and decided to try to brighten the mood from the storm outside. Kayden, do we have anything that we could possibly make a fire with? I hate seeing you so cold and wet, we should get you dried off. She smiled brightly within the darkened cavern, her eyes seeming to give off a soft violet glow. Removing the shirt that Kayden had so unselfishly given her to protect her from the rain. Placing it upon a large nearby rock, she realized that she too had become drenched in the rains, even through Kayden's great efforts to keep her dry and warm. She then walked to the opening of the cavern, watching as the rain fell, nourishing the mountains, leaning against the cold rock that provided them shelter. She looked back, smiling wildly as she waited for his eyes to reach hers. But first, lets watch. Waving her arm as to motion him over she held out her hand, the long glove drenched and fallen, bunched up at her wrist. It is quite pretty to watch. |

Walking into the cave with her, Kayden seems to find that even within the front of the cave it is extremely cold. As they go into the back he notices that it is slightly warmer, still rather chilled though. He looks at her and smiles a bit, so full of joy and wonder he thought to himself. Suddenly getting serious he begins looking around for dry twigs and sticks, something to make a fire. He had found two dry rocks to create a spark, but he first had to find moss to act as a catalist for the fire to light properly. He looks around gathering some old peices of wood and bark, looking around the rocks for moss. He slowly puts several rocks in a circle and sets the wood in the middle of it. Placing the moss on the wood he hits the rocks together to create a spark. As he does so the moss lites on fire and it catches the wood, creating a small, but sufficient fire. He looks up, having lit the fire he notices her toward the opening of the cave. Walking over to her he looks outside and nods, "it is quite nice...rather majestic." He slowly felt the heat of the fire warm the cave up. He looks to her and says "the rain will probably stop in a couple of hours, we should stay here until then." |

Yes, I will agree with you. She too felt the warmth of the fire behind them. She frowned at the thought of the burning wood, but then assured herself that the twigs and the small branches he used were all dried out and dead, none could have had the remains of a spirit like herself. She smiled to herself once more, crossing her arms in front of her and rubbing against her arms to keep herself warm. She watched the rain fall, so enchanting. And then she smelled the most beautiful scent of her yew fruit, closing her eyes, she saw her own tree, somewhere, up in the mountains from her village. The rain was falling down upon it, the roots soaking up the water. She stood their peacefully, taking in the whole vision. Then remembered where she was and how odd she must seem for getting so lost in a thought. Suddenly she felt revitalized, some new energy seemed to spring into her and she giggled happily at the feeling. She turned to Kayden who was watching the rain with her but didn't seem to get the same reaction that she did from it. She tilted her head, watching him watch the rain then giggled once more. Tell me more about yourself Kayden. Perhaps while we warm you by the fire for some time? If the storm is going to last for some hours now, we should sit down, try to enjoy the time we have to spend here. Ciara waited for his answer, she watched his eyes wondering what it was that drew him to this place. |
