| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Oppel's steps were so light, even he could not hear them. As he walked he carefully made sure his clothes did not touch anything that would cause a sound great enough for a dragont o hear, for he had once overheard that a dragon can hear things much greater than a human could. He wasn't moving very fast, but enjoy this journey. He trailed up the mountainside and about halfway towards the summit he stopped dead in his tracks. A green dragon was blocking the route he was on. Luckily he was sleeping, because if he was not Oppel would have had to run towards the bottom of the mountains perhaps waking up other dragons along the way, which could have resulted in almost certain death. He turned himself around and began walking down the path he come up on and heard a grunt behind him. Hd swiftly turned around and a twig snapped under his foot. Oppel then watched as the dragon rolled onto its other side. He must be dreaming. he thought to himself. But that wasn't the problem, for the twig he had snapped must have awoken another dragon. He looked out into the surrounding area to see if any dragons were nearby. He saw none and continued down the mountan. Several minutes later he hard the flap of wings and a great red dragon flew overhead, but didn't catch site of him. Sweat was pouring down Oppel's face as he found a large rock and hid behind it. Oppel hid behind the rock until the red dragon found a place to rest. He then got up and cast obscur mist in hope that he would be less visible to the dragons. It must have worked for he was dashing downt he mountaint now, and there were no signs of dragons following him anywhere. |

Celeste had been following the man, and had started to wonder what he was doing.. Looking to capture an infant dragon? Whatever his aim, Celeste felt he was being foolish and had tagged along, for a few reasons: a.) to get something to do, for sport - keep him in sight while trying not to be noticed, and b.) to fingure out what exactly he was doing up there in the dragonspine mountains. Her glow sparkled and reflected in the ice around them, so all her concentration was focused on staying on that perfect spot where none of her could be detected. Not that she feared the man, but it was sport for her, a game of hide and seek. |

He ran down the mountain until he was on flat land. As he entered the nearby forest he ran into a grizzly bear. It's mouth was wide open and it was showing its mighty teeth. Oppel stepped back and the bear followed him by stepping forward. The eyes of the bear were wided open and focused upon Oppel's every move. If he were to take off running the bear would surely catch him, and he couldn't harm any animal since he loved them so much. Remembering his magical training, he used calm animals to calm the bear down. He stepped up to the bear cautiously to make sure the spell had worked. Which it had. He set his hand upon the soft fur of the bears head and began to stroke its head. The bear seem pleased and Oppel was enjoying the company of the now friendly bear. |

Well that was pointless... but the bear meant less golden space where she couldn't be seen, so Celeste wasn't complaining, it had gotten more fun... She settled on the bears shoulder, tired now, not caring if he saw her, the game was over.. But in dreams the screams return.. In sleep there was nothing to distract her.. Celeste woke, certain that she had alerted the travelers of her presence, those dreams couldn't have meant quiet sleep... but they never did... |

Oppel cocked his head in awe. Where had she come from? Just a moment ago he was by himself exploring the Dragon Spine Mountains and now there was another being with him. He wasn't took shocked that there were others in the area, it was just that he though he was alone... He stared at the bear and smiled, such a beautiful creature. |

Yes, she was detected.. Celeste only wondered how much she had revealed in her sleep... Hello there, sir. She moved into plain sight, on the other side of the man than the bear. She did not care much for animals larger than she... What brings you to the dragonspine mountains, and then back down? she asked, not sarcastically but actually curious. And that spell you used on the bear just now - would it not have worked on those dragons? |

Oppel faced the woman and raised an eyebrow. "Yes i believe it would, but I would not want to get close nough to use it" he said sarcastically. "As for my ventures, I was rather hoping to explore the land, I heard it was beautiful. But my question for you is, what are you doing here?" |

Celeste could not tell him the truth.. Having a little fun, playing a game.. distracting mysef.. she stared into space, the game interrupted and the whispers returning... she turned away from Oppel, staring.. She whirled around. I want to know, exactly what was I saying? You must have heard me - while I was asleep? |

Oppel found it quite hard to remember what she had said while sleeping, as he had focused all his attention upon the arrival of the newcomer. He paused for several moments. "I'm sorry it seemes I have forgotten,"he told her. |
