| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

"Do as you wish," he said calmly, moving over to his bed, closing his eyes and sighing as the wyvern vanished into thin air. He huffed and closed his eyes, falling into a quiet, deep sleep within seconds. He stayed that way, waiting for morning to come. |

Wynne was out for an hour and a half or so before returning to the inn room with tired eyes, dropping her cloak and huffing as she hit the bed face-first. She turned her head to glance at Sen as he slept, his mouth hanging open slightly, and noticed his new tiny fangs, smiling softly. "Aw, that's kin' a cute," she said quietly to herself, before blinking and looking down at her hands quietly in complete despair. With a small groan, she hit her head on the bedframe repeatedly until a minute had passed and her forehead was sore. With a sigh, she stuffed her face in her pillow, before sighing and turning so her back was to him, and forced herself to sleep. She was up early the next morning, while the sky was still dark purple (it never turned black, she had realized- only some deep shade of a color that was easily disrupted by the light from the streetlamps,) and forced herself up to get washed and ready to leave. |

Sen was already ready, having showered and gotten ready, dressed in his cloak. He sat on the bed, seemingly meditating as he sat quietly, his greatsword gripped tightly in his hands. He opened his eyes when she passed and sighed, slipping it back into his scabbard. He touched his dagger and claw, sighing quietly as he looked at her. "Good morning. Will you go alone?" |

Wynne nodded. "Ah hink it woods be best if Ah dae. Ah really dornt want tae risk those immunities bein' revoked coz Ah brooght a daemon wi' me. Naethin' personal, Ah swear." She adjusted her cream headcloth and picked up her cloak, sighing. "Weel, aam aff, 'en. Ah'll be back in puckle cuttie hoors." And with that, she left. "Ah, Wynnesteria, you've made it! Perfect timing, as well. Come back with me, we'll start with a small sermon, and then we can talk." Kassiel smiled and led her with an arm around her shoulder, causing Wynne to beam as he took her to a room where a few other people, all Celestials, sat cross-legged on the ground. They gave her somewhat odd looks, before Kassiel stood at the front of the room. "Now, I know you may be asking why a Low-Planar is doing among us. But here's what you must remember- this young woman here is with you all to learn, just like you. Despite her appearance, I have deemed her worthy, and that should be all you need to know, yes?" He looked around to the others, before smiling and nodding. "Perfect. Then let's begin." Wynnesteria watched him intently as he began speaking, her lips parted slightly as she listened to him speak. The way he spoke alone was captivating, his voice smooth, kind and welcoming, and the words he spoke sank into her mind with ease- words that were familiar to her, understanding and welcoming. She barely even noticed as time went on, and in no time, the sermon was over. She blinked as Kassiel motioned for her to come over, before nodding and getting up quickly to move over to him. "Now, I know you have many questions about your mother's connection to this place," he began, smiling down at her. "No need to ask how I know. We work in mysterious ways, us Celestials. Just like your mother." Wynne tilted her head, opening her mouth as a realization hit her, before Kassiel spoke before her. "Yes, Wynnesteria, your mother was a Celestial, just as I am. Just as you are." "Aye, yer jokin' me, reit?" She asked, laughing softly. "Of course not. I would not have recruited you, otherwise." She blinked at him, obviously confused, before he laughed softly. "Wynne, you have to understand that us Celestials are the only one who can light the way. It is our duty, in fact. I know you have heard of the Eternal War. All Celestials are created to be soldiers for such events and imbalances in the world- the average cannot be trusted, at the very least, not on their own, and the unholy are only here to misguide poor mortals. You are here to stop them. You know how the unholy are- they hurt you, Wynne. We are here- you are here- to keep that from happening." Wynne stared up at him. "...Really?" He smiled. "Would I lie to you, Wynnesteria?" Wynne returned to the inn room silently, her mind still conflicted as she shut the door behind her, dropping her cloak with a sigh. |

Sen was nowhere to be found when she had returned. There was a note on her desk with slightly sloppy handwriting on it that explained he would be back by the evening. He has gone out to find information on the next Celestial tear, using an illusion potion he bought. He did return, and when he did, he looked forlorn. When he saw she hsd returned, his face returned to its normal, blank resting face. "Ah. You've returned" The illusion potion had worn off, leaving his face fully exposed, showing his fangs and horns. He sat down on the ground and sighed, closing his eyes. "The next rift will arrive in a week," he said quietly. "I have to wait until then." |

Wynne rolled onto her back from where she laid on the bed, looking at him blearily. It seemed she had been half-sleeping, judging by the groggy look in her face, before slowly sitting up and rubbing her eyes. "It's only a week. Aam sure ye can survife 'at lang. Ye willnae loch it, but ye can make it." She paused and looked up at the ceiling, remembering Kassiel's words quietly. She was sure of her words, but the question was if she wanted them to be. If Kassiel was right, then those unholy people included Sen, no matter what she thought personally of his fangs. |

Sen looked at her quietly, then back down at the ground. "Yes. Yes, I suppose so." He looked back up at her, tempted to ask what exactly she had been doing at the shrine, but it was not his place to ask. Suddenly, he felt like an utter fool. Following her here, staying with her, had been a series of one rash decision after another. What was wrong with him? Suddenly, it dawned on him. Of course. It had been one year since the Exodus Down crashed. One year since his beginning of a new life had been torn to shreds, one year since he had lost the closest thing he had to a friend since Vin, and she had disappeared somewhere without saying goodbye. He had not even found a body to bury amid the wreckage. His eyes stung with tears, but he took a deep breath and held back his emotion, furiously shaking his head. "I think I will go find myself a seperate room for tonight." With that he donned his cloak and left quietly, leaving Wynne alone in the room. |

Wynne blinked as he suddenly left, opening her mouth to ask what was wrong, but he was already gone. She frowned, confused, before sighing and lying back on the bed, rubbing her eyes. It shouldn't matter to her, she told herself- she had slowly begun to forget that this was all business, from the beginning. He only came here for the money, which was exactly why he would be leaving in a month's time. There was no use in getting attached or invested emotionally in any sort of way. She sighed and rubbed her eyes, figuring she may as well sleep for the night, since she would be waking up early again. Perhaps she would find more wisdom to help her figure it all out in Kassiel's words the next morning. |

The next morning, Sen was still in his room. He was sitting on the floor of his bed, closing his eyes as he crossed his legs and sat in silence. His stuff was strewn across the floor, and the window was locked. He had no intention of seeing Wynnesteria again for anything that didn't involve her life being threatened. Until he got the money, he would protect her from life-threatening harm unless she said otherwise. That didn't require him to talk to her, though. |

Wynne left silently the next morning to go back to the temple, and was greeted once again by Kassiel. They went to the back again, where he gave another sermon. It was just as brilliant as the last, in Wynne's opinion- delivered in the same smooth, calm way that Kassiel always spoke. Once it ended, and the other Celestials began to leave, she went back up to talk to him, though on her own will other than being asked to. He turned to her and smiled, clasping his hands. "Ah, I hope you enjoyed the sermon. I quite enjoy seeing your face in my audience, you always seem so attentive. Is there... something troubling you?" "Aye, there... there is, actually. Whit... whit ur ye supposed tae dae when someain ye ken jist... staps talkin' tae ye?" She asked, looking down at the floor. "Well, that really depends on who the person is to you. Are they... a friend? A family member?" "Ah, Ah dornt pure ken whit he is tae me... probably naethin', honestly, but it jist doesnae feel reit tae keep a distance." "A man? Wynnesteria, I should have made this clear from the beginning, but members of our order cannot be in relationships with others, not even each other. You have a duty here, one that cannot be interrupted by silly mortal matters." "What? Nae, nae, nae, GODS nae, it's nae loch 'at! Ah jist... aam jist woriat. It happened real sudden, Ah didne e'en say anythin' bad, as far as Ah ken." Kassiel nodded slowly, before sighing. "I see... well, Wynnesteria, I think the best thing you can do right now is wait. It's possible this... person of yours just needs some space. Give it a day or two to let them gather themselves. And if they don't come back first, perhaps it may be right for you to make the first move instead. Be calm and don't make accusations or assumptions. Simply ask if they are okay, and from there, it is only up to them to accept your aide." He paused as she slowly nodded, biting her lip. "Does this help you at all?" "Yea... yea, it diz, actually. Thenk ye, Kassiel, really! Uhm, thenk ye." She quickly turned and ran, rushing back to the hotel room and shutting it behind her, deciding she would give it until the next day after class for something to happen. Until then, all there was to do was wait. |

Sen was still quietly shut away in his own room. It was immaculate - he hadn't used the beds or moved any furniture, and his armor and weapons were stacked in a corner. He let his head fall against the ground as he went over the crash over, and over, and over. Ana's stab wounds. Almost being charged with her murder. The wreckage of her pride and joy. All Ned's f***ing fault. Sen squeezed his eyes shut, then opened them. When he saw Ned next, he would put that dog down, with a blade or his own two hands, and as brutally and slowly as possible. |

Wynne had difficulty sleeping that night, for some odd reason. She lay awake staring at the ceiling for a very, very long time, her mind up in knots over what to do. As much as she wanted to stand by Kassiel's suggestion, sitting by and doing nothing was more difficult than she realized. Standing by wasn't much her thing anymore, especially not since leaving Balefire. But her early intervention window had far closed- it was in the middle of the night, maybe even early morning, and Sen could be sleeping right now. Even if he wasn't, something told her that a talk wouldn't go over well at one in the morning or so. She paused for a moment. Or maybe it would. Quickly, she got up, rubbing her sore eyes before opening the door to her room and peeking out, looking both ways to see if anybody was awake. When nobody was, she stepped out, shutting the door behind her as carefully as she could. She blinked as she looked between all the doors, and swallowed, realizing she'd hit her first roadblock. She had no idea which door was Sen's. She looked between the doors silently for a moment, before cringing and moving to one door on pure intuition alone, and knocking on it. "Sen?" She asked out, trying to remain as quiet as someone like her could. "Ye waukin, mate?" |

The door opened, and it was indeed Sen, staring back at her with a blank expression. "Ah. Hello," he said quietly. "Did something happen?" He was calm as he looked at her, dressed in a simple nightshirt and trousers, not asking anything else. Behind his back, he clutched his dagger, just in case she decided to make a move. Call it instinct, but he was starting to find it harder to trust her after she kept going for sermons at the temple. He couldn't trust anyone who associated with a Celestial. "You really should be asleep," he said quietly, with a slight edge to his voice, one that was nearly indistinguishable, but carried the air of a calm suggestion, betraying no emotion underneath. "You have a sermon to attend tomorrow." Edited by SenMontague, Fri Jun 29, 2018 6:10 pm.

She blinked and took a step back, looking up at him quietly for a moment. She noticed the slight reservation in his speech, causing her to grimace slightly. She couldn't blame him, really- she had the same suspicion towards him now, however fair or unfair it truly was, so there wasn't anything there she could really judge. "Yea, except yoo're nae mah mum. Ah... Ah jist wanted tae make sure everythin' was alrecht. Ye left real suddenly, an' Ah jist... got a wee woriat. That's awl."

"Worried?" He tilted his head, and sighed, looking around. "Just- come in. It's not safe out here," he hissed quietly as he closed the door. "Now. What has got you 'worried'?" He crossed his arms and sighed as he looked around, looking at her exasperatedly. |
