Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Khaem Sekrham

Gender: Male
Age: 31
Species: Khenra
Class: Desert Sage
Occupation: Acolyte
Nationality: Sulerian

Primary Element: Earth
Secondary Element: Nature

Appearance:
He is soft spoken, yet enduring; Khaem stands tall among the fleeting remnants of his forgotten people. Of the dwindling Khenran: last defenders of the Deshirian Empire. From birth, he has been trained to endure the Trials of Zeal, a series of near lethal challenges set before every Khenran youth.

These trials are a necessary evil, to sift the strong from the ilk: and produce only warriors fine enough to repel the onslaught of Ishtetian demons in which below forth from the depths of the glowing sands, where the dunes of D'jet and Chaon meet.

A darkened earthly toned fur covers his tempered physique, symbolizing the births of both him and his sister as a gift from Oserat: the god of fertility.

Used to the lukewarm sandbanks of the Astor coast: his attire has become rather burdensome in his distant travels from the once rich banks of the port city. Now adorning the hindering linens of a lost Imythessian religion, he both seeks to appease the unknown masters of the colder, violent domains of the Bashti warlords: and avoid any contact with the higher echelon of authority in which presides over the forsaken lands.

Traveling lightly, he carries with him a lone quarterstaff- scarce etchings of incantations hidden behind finely wound linen around either end of the weapon.

Personality: Having been dragged into his position from birth: Khaem has rarely found the time or place to socialize between himself and his fellows, much less having any contact with the few foreign traders quarantined at the docks. Of what conversation he did have between himself and his sister, Kahi, they shared but moments of simple mutual compassion for each other's struggles during the trials.

Learnt of little practice, Khaem is light of tongue: weighing his words in careful thought, rather than what the Deshir would typically consider as "Bashtian chitter". Though he is of a careful judge: rather to base his impressions off of one's actions, rather than lengthy jargon.

Of the Desert Sages, he has been both taught wrath and mercy: of charity and strength. He only asserts his power when need be, giving lackluster displays when providing real magic, as to respect the once natural orders of the physical realm: where such powers are but insult and sin to a battered world. Though this does not halt Khaem from aiding those in need— whether Bashti or Deshir, all have fallen victim to the chaos that is Ishtet.

History:

Upon finishing the Trials of Zeal, Khaem had been given a quite rushed initiation into his order: his sister having gone missing in the lands of the west. As such, the head of the Desert Sages and head of the Astorian council, Seshra, burdened Khaem with a humbling and almost neigh impossible task: to find the heart of Astiss, Queen of Rivers, and return it to the dying waters of Asil: as to save both Astor, and his people.

Now he sails to the Forsaken lands; he sails to the realm of Imythess.
