| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Shirine had come back home finnally after helping clear out some rather complicated problems in the underground areas of Norwood. She had left her camp and came to a small trading village. It was a small crossroads to several trails to different cities and some other villages. Most hoses were in the trees, but as a trading village this one had several buildings on the ground too. One such building was inn that also served as a sort of mercenary office. People placed reauests here for help. Shirine had come to look over the jobs as her group could use a few smaller jobs to relax with until the next big job came. There were of course several travelers and merchants here too just using the place as an inn. Plus merchants were often hiring gaurds so it was a good place for people to meet. Entering the building Shirine walked through the crowd. She was in her elven form, but wearing her armor and weapons. A few looked at her as a warrior and others looked at her for her looks as a woman. Regardless she ignored those. It was then she spoted a short young teenaged looking girl. She looked a little lost or distracted in the busy building. It was easy to get turned around in this crowded building. Especialky goven how shorgt the girl was. Still she stood out a little and Shirine was attracted to those who stood out. Often meant they had promise. She walked over, "Hey there need some help?" |

So far Dawn was feeling bored with this trip. Here she had been promised the chance to see new places and things other people did and now, for the third day in a row, they were just staying here. She didn't understand the issue. So her soon to retired Governess was feeling a bit queasy each day as they hit the road. Now the three of them were waiting here for "friends" and a letter from their mage guardian. It was a bit silly, shouldn't she know about motion sickness? There were herbs for that! At least she was able to go down to the main room of this inn and watch all sorts of people come and go. Dawn had been forbidden to leave the inn on her own. She guessed it was because her teacher didn't want her to get lost or the like. It was a bit of a blow to her though. This inn was not as big as the manor she grew up in and it was busier by far. She would have liked to have gone out back and get away from the noise some time, or go out and watch the streets and take a look at the houses tucked into the tops of trees. A voice nearby asked a question and she glanced toward the speaker, wondering for a moment why no one answered only to blink in surprise at an elven lady with a head of bright rose red hair was looking right at her. She opened her mouth to answer and nothing seemed to happen for a moment longer. Embarrassed at her lack of a reply, Dawn's face flushed and she looked down at her shoes. "Sorry, I don’t think so, sorry." she half mumbled at her shoes. |

Shirine looked at the girl and was a luttle surprised. She wasn't often wrong about such things. Well it happened, but it was uncommon for her to say the least. Well she should appologizes and she was still a bit curious about the girl. "Ah appologies you caight my eye. You just looked a little lost or nervous. Much like a lot of newb.... I mean new adventures before they take their first job. They often have a certain look about them. Plus I like helping them out. Anyways my name is Shirine Mikayles a vetern mercenary. I don't suppose you are a merchant's daughter or something looking for some gaurds? If not can I enquire out of curiousity what brings you here miss?" Shirine smiled at dawn in a friendly way. Though she did change to an annoyed look briefly and glared at one man who had been trying to pinch her but in the crowd. He backed off seeing her eyes shoot some killing intent. Sigh there was always at least one scummy person in a crowd like this.... her bright red hair and figure tended to attract them too. At least he was smart enough to back off. She focused back on the young girl in front of her. |
