Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Initial Results
The subject's initial adaptation to life in Chaon was impressive. Within the first three minutes, ey had, apparently unconsciously, adopted a body suited to both the physical laws and the physiological requirements of Chaon. In light of the heretofore disappointing results of our attempts to transfer entities between low planes, just seeing a subject progress to the point where ey can become a test subject is heartening.

Extrapolating from the intermediary reports of the change, we have good reason to believe that eir home plane was structured in a vastly different way than Chaon. It is certain that the basics of life in Chaon - things like the energy of the stars, the force of gravity, the flow of magic, and so forth either did not work in the same way or were entirely absent from the subject's home plane. We have good reason to believe, also, that some aspects of existence which were hitherto taken to be universal across all planes of existence are in fact entirely conditional. The subject's planar archipelago appears not to experience space in the same way as our own. The dimensions of length, width, and height are meaningless there.

Further research in this phenomenon could yield dividends in terms of how we manage space. However, we have found that once the test subject became fully adapted to Chaon, there was very little trace of eir previous dimensional properties. Some other form of experimentation will be required for any further study into that aspect of the subject's home plane.

The subject has not yet progressed beyond basic motor functions. Ey is currently a shapeless mass containing only those organs necessary for survival. However, ey continues to mutate, and we are hopeful that ey will eventually take on a form better suited to interactions with native Chaonites.

Developmental Progress
The subject has taken on a more concrete form, with two distinct arms, two legs, and a head, as well as simplistic facial features. Ey is still noticeably different from any natives, but is now quite similar in form. Ey is 2.54 meters tall and weighs approximately eighteen kilograms, which unusually for a creature of that size.

We have compared samples of eir flesh to other materials found on our planar archipelago, but so far we have found no matches. Ey may someday
