Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

In light of the new aesthetic I'm looking at for Hearne, I'd love to try making this work if possible.

Fugitive's Cowl
 
The enchantment on this hood releases a mind-affecting spell that makes the wearer's appearance seem forgettable and ordinary. Others who see them tend to have trouble describing any distinguishing features, no matter how outlandish the wearer might have looked (large wings, a distinct scar, etc).


Elemental Support Core (Holy)
 
This graft may morph into any form similar in size to the original limb and deals elemental damage when used. The bound elemental is in a gaseous or near gaseous state and thus cannot hold, lift or block physical objects. The magic that allows it to hold the shape of the limb is sufficient that you can walk or if you have wings fly with them. It will also support you if you lean against a wall or perform similar actions. However this only true of large surfaces and the limb will compress a bit against those surfaces. It has been found that the limb can treat Ghost Touch-enchanted items like normal. This material creates an Elemental graft which can be healed normally as a living creature, but can also be healed by its own element and harmed by opposing element(s).

This graft can be composed of the water, wind, lightning, fire, cold, shadow or other reasonable elements. No matter what element it is, all grafts will do about the same amount of damage on contact.


Farscarred Support Core
 
This graft may morph into any form similar in size to the original limb and deals elemental damage when used. The bound elemental is in a gaseous or near gaseous state and thus cannot hold, lift or block physical objects. The magic that allows it to hold the shape of the limb is sufficient that you can walk or if you have wings fly with them. It will also support you if you lean against a wall or perform similar actions. However this only true of large surfaces and the limb will compress a bit against those surfaces. It has been found that the limb can treat Ghost Touch-enchanted items like normal. This material creates an Elemental graft which can be healed normally as a living creature, but can also be healed by its own element and harmed by opposing element(s).

So effectively Hearne is going to become a holy elemental construct wearing ghost touch-enchanted equipment (with further limb grafts to complete). But thanks to the farplanar scarring, his appearance tends to wiggle its way out of the viewer's mind and he'll have no actual features other than the white energy conforming to a humanoid shape. It'd make outside equipment necessary to be distinguished and recognizable, or else using Possess to hide away in a body or item.

Hearne has fully ascended to a Demir imago state, becoming a humanoid arcane construct and shedding his mortal body. However, due to intimate workings with a farplanar being and its influence on his magic, he has become moderaly planescarred. Due to the farplanar influence of this scarring, his features tend to slide out of the mind of the viewer, being largely unrecognizable even as he is being actively watched. This necessitates the use of specialized equipment to be recognized by others.

Those immune to mind-affecting magic will see Hearne as a tall, slender humanoid with ivory-colored flesh and no discernable features besides two eyesockets empty but for two golden irises in each eye forming a complex web of geometric patterns. Arcane runes surface here and there as if rising through cloudy water, actively forming currents though the details of these markings cannot be recalled by the viewer.
