| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Guingelot [Well-Honed Axed + White Guard's Impaler + Weapon Enchantment: Holy] A mighty flail whose handle is made from Calmonah ironwood, bound tight and reinforced by engraved silver, connected with a silver chain ending in a dense silver ball of intricate surface-work that shines with an internal light. The ball is heavy enough to dent armor, is covered in curved spikes that will never dull, and can pierce effortlessly through ice. Each strike with the ball on this weapon will burn with holy energy, and when the target of an attack from this weapon dodges out of the way, several sharp shard-like projectiles of glowing holy energy will explode from the ball of the flail towards their opponent. [tabs][tab=White Guard's Impaler] A silver warhammer with a curved spike on its head that can pierce through ice effortlessly. It is cold to the touch and covered in frost, although the wielder will not be inconvenienced by the chill. Furthermore, when the target of an attack from this weapon dodges out of the way, several sharp shards of ice will explode from the head of the hammer towards their opponent.[/tab][tab=Well-Honed Axe] This two-handed axe has a wickedly sharp edge that never dulls, perfect for cutting through wood. Its hefty bulk carries enough weight to dent armor. The haft is made of ironwood taken from Calmonah's sturdiest old trees.[/tab][tab=Weapon Enchantment: Holy] A holy weapon is good-aligned and blessed with holy power. It cannot be wielded by anyone of evil alignment; they will be badly harmed by holy power. Anyone of neutral alignment can wield it, but it does not give any of its magical bonuses. Holy weapons shine with an inner light and harm evil creatures and opponents badly, burning them with holy fire.[/tab][/tabs] Edited by Detaras, Tue Feb 21, 2017 9:21 am.

Do you have a problem with keeping the "It cannot be wielded by anyone of evil alignment; they will be badly harmed by holy power. Anyone of neutral alignment can wield it, but it does not give any of its magical bonuses" bit in? Restrictions can't be removed with fusions. |

I've got no problem with it, but given the. . . messy nature of alignment as Imythess is currently experiencing it, I wasn't sure whether or not to actually leave it in or not. I think it's better to leave it in for now, if only as a placeholder for whatever we settle on once the alignments are sorted out. Other than that, this looks fine to me. |

Could I add in a restriction that demons and undead can't wield it, either? |

I'm going to say no for the time being. We've had both benevolent demons and holy and benevolent undead, so until we sort out the alignment equipment I think it would be better not to have different people altering equipment to suit their various purposes. |
