Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Super Exploration Armor: Charge Engine
[Golemized Exploration Armor + Adamantine Torso Armor + Siegeblade Model 7]
The torso armor of full-sized set of pressurized, completely sealed, temperature-controlled Super Heavy armor set made of Adamantine bound to an elemental to power the suit. This armor allows the wearer to explore almost any environment known to mankind. Super Exploration Armor has enough air for a three-hour mission without being resupplied. Incredibly heavy, adamantine is the toughest type of armor in Imythess, which allows it to completely resist denting and acid wear. This versatility and protectiveness of this armor comes at the cost of speed: Most people find it necessary to use strength-enhancing magics in order to bear its weight in battle, lest their maneuverability suffer greatly and it is impossible to sprint while wearing it.

Charge Engine Design:
To make up for the loss of speed and sprinting ability in combat, the back of this particular suit of armor sports a sort of large vent-like design for the energy of the used water elemental to be channeled from in powerful bursts at will. When utilized properly, the elemental power will propel the armor forward but requires three posts to to recharge after being used. Improper use of this feature, especially on weak or inflexible users, may result in sprains or pulled tendons.

Parts
[tabs][tab=Siegeblade Model 7]The first six Istani Siegeblades were minor improvements on a broad blade between the length of a shortsword and a longsword designed primarily for stabbing. The seventh model, however, was something special. It was enchanted by Istani Army mages to propel itself forwards during a stab, allowing for incredibly powerful single hits. This effect requires three posts to recharge after being used, and due to a few sprains and pulled tendons from thrusts that missed their target the blade was not adopted by the Istani Army.[/tab][tab=Golemized Exploration Armor]A full-sized set of pressurized, completely sealed, temperature-controlled Heavy armor bound to an elemental to power the suit. There's a bit of a difference between a sword thrusting forward and an entire suit of nigh-unbreakable armor. I generally find that weapon enchantments don't transition very well to armor... especially since each piece of armor should technically be enchanted separately.

I'm gonna need a second opinion on this, however.

Yes. I dislike using something like the Siegeblade ability as an enchantment for armor, especially adamantine. Additionally, you would need to make each separate piece by itself for something like that. I am not a fan of this particular one, and cannot think of a way to redress the balance :/

Hmm? If the siegeblade only makes itself (and maybe the arm) move rather than moving the wielder with it, then I can see why the Istan Military opts out of using something that's both ridiculously pointless and regularly harmful.

The fusion is essentially strapping a siegeblade on the back of the torso armor and no weight limit is mentioned in its description, but if that won't work then reject this fusion because I won't bother getting the Siegeblade Model 7.

I mean, I can see how this might be problematic, but I was 1) Thinking it was a short burst of maybe a couple of feet and most, and 2) Comparing the result to Propulsive Wake

This spell forces tremendous quantities of water from behind the caster at great speed, allowing them to move incredibly fast in or out of the water. This spell lasts for up to a few seconds.

Which for a small amount of the user's mana seems more effective and reliable, but to that logic I figured the Siegeblade getting fused in traded off not using the user's mana for its cooldown period and only allowing the person to move forward.

I'm sorry, Ogichi, but the issue here is one of what basically amounts to a weapon enchantment being applied to armor. The issue that Seele brought up above is the problem.
