| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Arthur looked down on the ground for tracks. His quarry was good he gave it that but not well enough. The trail while not easy follow was still there if one knew where to look. AN overturned rock here, a crunched blade of grass there. Even if his quarry had left no trail he would have been able to find it. The quarries scent was strong and heading south. He was maybe a little bit behind but not much. It would have been easier if he had been in dragon form. He could have flown and found him a lot quicker. But Arthur liked the challenge of using his tracking skills to find the people he was looking for or the creatures. His quarry was a known murderer and slave trader. That was one thing Arthur could not tolerate was slavers. People deserved to be free of any shackle. Animals too, he could not stand the cages and zoos some people kept. He guessed that went with his dragon blood or it could have been his brief stint as a slave. As such he gladly chased this man. Getting paid was just an added bonus. He would have liked to kill him when he found him but that was not part of the arrangement. Alive and well enough to travel to a hangman’s noose. Arthur could have done it better. He would have roasted the man alive with dragon’s fire starting with his feet. But he had job to do and he would do it. He followed the trail for a little while longer hot on the man’s heels. He soon saw the man making mistakes. The man was in a hurry now. Maybe he should have started sooner he might have gotten farther. As it was Arthur was closer than the man realized. He soon found the man running a head and Arthur ran at close to speed, and tackled the man dropping him to the ground hard. He turned the man over and said," Hello Garvy your coming with me. It seems you've got an appointment with the hangman". The man smiled and said," I wouldn't be so sure bounty hunter. It maybe that you’re the one being hunted". Arthur heaved the man up and grabbed a rope he had been given from his pack and tied the man’s hands together. He then removed the man’s weapons and said," You will find I am not easily taken if that's true. I am no mere man". He looked the man dead in the eye and the man shivered in fear. What looked at him were the eyes of a dragon with a flame behind them. Edited by Arthur, Thu Jul 21, 2016 2:43 am.
