Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Everything’s a game of chance. Before the planes were made, there was nothing. There was only chance. Every possible future existed; every possible timeline cohabited. All those potential histories crossed one another so many times that they folded in on themselves. From that fold, all the pressure burst outward. The planes were created, and every plane gained sentience as the bond with its entropic formations developed. Eventually, the planes themselves manifested in whatever form they chose - singular forms that concentrated all their knowledge and power and wisdom. On the physical plane, they were referred to as deities.

But the deities crossed their paths just as had been done when there was only chaos.
The world we know was born of their crossing, and it came to be called Chaon.

Biographical Notations
Titles
Captain of the Waterlogged Weasel, Magister, Of Mithlonde, The Adventurous, Water Mage

Speech
Like most Mithlondian halflings, Zinnia’s accent is thick enough that she is difficult to understand by most people. However, as occasionally happens with the “sea-bound”, her accent has been tempered just enough that she is able to be understood if one is paying attention to her.

Tongues
Common (fluently written & spoken), Dwarf-Tongue (fluently spoken, but not written), Elf-Tongue (semi-fluently spoken, but not at all written; can recognize writings as Elf-Tongue, however), & Mage-Tongue (fluently written & spoken)

Loves
Blueberries, Riddles, Strawberries

LoathesScorpions, Spiders, The Droog

[tab=Flaws]
Flaws
Allergies
Mold, mildew, pollen, dust, dander, dandelions and the like are all things that cause hay fever. Around such things as these, Zinnia begins sneezing frequently and her eyes will begin to itch after prolonged exposure; rubbing said eyes, of course, will eventually make them red.

Curiosity
Zinnia is unfortunately afflicted with insatiable curiosity. Mysteries are irresistible to her, and she has ways of ferreting the truth out of people regardless of their incessant attempts to hide things from her. It’s best not to leave her out of the loop on something, as she’ll find out about it sooner or later.

Greedy
The promise of gold, jewels, or other things of great value make Zinnia’s eyes light up like brilliant torches.

Hedonistic
Oh, you’re having a party? Is there music? Is the drink free? Good! Zinnia will happily invite herself, especially if she’s exceedingly bored.

Inattentive
Zinnia’s mind has a habit of drifting off in the midst of SERIOUS BUSINESS. If things get too boring, she’ll either start fantasizing or dozing.

Lazy
Why should Zinnia have to do all the work? In fact, why should Zinnia have to do ANY work? That’s what she’s got a crew o’ forty-eight, strong and true, for.

StubbornZinnia is as Zinnia does, so don’t bother trying to change her opinion or decision. You’re in for a losing tug-o-war if you do that.
