Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Zymr ran her fingers through Hu Liliang’s fur, meeting her eyes and silently giving her the plan. She had not yet mastered the art of verbal speech with her friend, but she was well versed in the natural act of feline-to-feline eye communication. The large tigress blinked in response and turned, stalking the targets quietly from her point of entrance.

Following suit, Zymr found her path to complete the tri-point attack. She could feel the presence of her allies and her enemies. As they came closer, the goblin shaman became aware of what was happening; however, it was too late. The three feline enemies had them surrounded.

Shirine pounced first, heading straight for the shaman. Zymr and her companion assisted by dealing with the guards. On Zymr’s side the goblin charge at her, swinging the mace down with the force to break a bone. She gracefully dodged, twirling around the goblin and finding herself at his back. With her knives bared, she moved to slash its neck, but the goblin turned, and she was met with a block from an armored arm. “Tck… You can do better than that,” she hissed at the goblin, kicking it in the stomach then lunging forward, stabbing both knives through its exposed throat.

Hu Liliang lunged at her opponent, immediately ripping out his throat, taking no damage. She was definitely a force to be reckoned with, and Zymr’s most valuable companion.

Zymr made her way over to her feline friend and ran her fingers through her white and black fur. “Good girl,” she whispered softly. Looking up, the two checked to see how Shirine faired with her foe.

Shirine moved in and seeing the gaurds were being intercepted by Zymr and her tiger friend, Shirine went strait for the Shaman the wizened looking creature tried to fire offa spell and hit Shirine's sword hand, but that did not stop her. Soon her claws ability acked across it's chest and the shaman fell back. Shirine stomped down hard with her foot her claws stabying into the neck and crushing it at the same time. A few moments latter the body went limp. Riding on thrle adrenaline of a auccessfil battle or hunt she let out a throaty victory roar.

She then turned back to Zymr. Her first tjoughts were how enti ing she looked. A strong warrior who coild fight despite all her wounds and still look beautiful. Then she noticed hed mind wandering and tried to coverup with an excuse. She wuickly hid her thoughts knowing that her prefrences could make most woman uncomfortable. She actualky ended up hidding it pretty well. "Ah right we shoukd be clear for now. Sit down and let me check your banadages and after that we will head forcthe nearest village before something else shows up. Plus it is easier to recover in a bed."

There now Zynr would just think she had been concerned by the wounds. She was concerned of course and would check the banaldages tightening any losened ones. She woukd then get up and try to lead the way to the nearest village. If Zymr showed any signs of difficult Shirine would offer.. no insist on carrying Zymr on her back. She was more than strong enough in her were form. As long as she did not tranform back going like this would be fine.

Zymr brushed back her sweat-wetted bangs off of her forehead, relieved that the battle was over. Normally, that would have been more entertaining, but the ache in her shoulder had finally returned now that the adrenaline surge was wearing off. Fatigue slowly took over her body. Between the blood loss, overexertion, and lack of food, Zymr was completely spent

As Shirine went to check her bandages, Zymr nodded, trying to ward off the black spots appearing in her vision, and again when Shirine suggested a village. As she stood up, her vision faded. Zymr swayed, staggering back. As her legs gave out Shirine caught her, insisting that she be carried. Zymr was in no state to argue and instead took her place on Shirine’s back.

Closing her eyes, she could hear the sounds of the forest—the birds, the wind, the life—and she could hear her caretaker’s heartbeat. Da dum, da dum. With the wind blowing gently through the forest, the methodic beating was peaceful, lulling Zymr to sleep.

Shirine made it to the village without much problem and found a bed at a small inn. Though she had felt her heart pounding the entire way from carrying such a cute girl. She got a proper doctor to come and treat Zymr's wounds too. A few elves stared at her tiger form, but Druids could look like this too. There was probably a few humanoid feline species out there too, though she had yet to meet one.

She stayed until Zymr woke up and was lucid. "Well good to see you awake. The local healer said you should be fine, but just wanted to say a goodbye before I leave. Got to get back and get paid for my job. Still if I ever have a job up in Striberg I can stop by and visit you. If you do not mind that is? Maybe we can spare together. You had some good skills, but they need polish. Plus I would not mind learning how to dual weird things properly. Umm ... Anyways make sure to rest up and be fully healed before you go traveling to the north.".

Shirine stayed long enough to hear Zymr's reply. She even hesitated a bit afterwards, as she knew she was attracted to Zymr, but in the end she left for now. It would be weird just blurting it out and could ruin this new friendship. Plus they would be living in places that were fairly far from each other. She had done all she could and that was enough for now. Little did she know they would be seeing each other again soon.

Zymr’s eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the lighting of the room and all that was there. The first thing that came into focus was Shirine. She was sitting by her bed with the glow of the lamp behind her. Zymr’s heart skipped, caught in how beautiful she looked, but her focus was renewed when Shirine spoke.

Zymr responded, “Hey… Thank you so much for taking care of me. You’ve done this twice, and you really didn’t have to. I appreciate your kindness so much.”

“Going so soon? Okay…” Zymr tried to hide her disappointment as best she could. She knew Shirine had a life to get back to. She’d already stolen a day of Shirine’s time from her trip. She really couldn’t ask for more.

“I’d love to catch up in you’re ever near Striberg! Oh, or if I make my way closer to Taras, I’ll come find you. Sparing would be fun, or we could just get a drink and talk,” she said, excited at the prospect.

“Will do… And Shirine? Take care of yourself as well. Be safe getting back.” Zymr watched as Shirine took her leave, her eyes shutting once more as sleep took her. She dreamt of the red haired tigress who had saved her life, picturing them laughing and playing somewhere secluded in nature. Hope was all she had that she’d see her again.
