| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

If a creature is currently stored in a Myrmidon Marking, can it still be summoned with the Summon Familiar spell? The spell says "no matter where it was before", so I guess it comes down to "Are animals stored in Myrmidon Markings protected against teleportation, or in a place considered to be covered under an anti-magic field?" For reference:
If you're wondering why, just take a peek at my Portable Summoning Circles! =P Edited by Vander, Thu Jun 19, 2014 5:35 pm.

If this is about your portable summoning circles, why did you ask about Summon Familiar? Sorry, I'm just trying to wrap what you really want out of this around my head - obviously, the summoning circles are a different overall effect. |

The summoning circles still require a summoning spell to operate. They're just a way to augment what summoning spell your using. |

Oooh, I get it. I didn't make that item so I was...confused. >_> I guess you could use Summon Familiar to call out your Myrmidon Marking pets. It...it seems very roundabout though so I want to see what someone else thinks. |

... I mean... I... I guess? Why bother storing them at all then? Why not just leave them at home and summon them when you need them.? >_> |

Different situations call for different things! D= OOCly, I don't wanna waste mana summoning 'em if I just want some company or have the scout or whatever. I also want Vander to be covered in animal tattoos by the time his inventory is 'finished'. ICly, Vander isn't going to want to ever tell his pets they can't come along if they want to. -shrugs- Now that I think about it, I could just release them from the tattoo and then summon them through the Portable Circle from beside me... to beside me. xD |
