| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Transforming Alex's cute little spells into fire spells. Chilling Burst This spell shoots a fast moving, amorphous icy projectile from your hand. When it strikes something, it explodes shards of ice and freezing air outwards in a five foot radius. Anything struck by the spell takes moderate damage and is slowed for two combat posts. into Scorching Burst This spell shoots a fast moving bolt of flame from your hand. When it strikes something it bursts into flame and scorching hot air in a five foot radius. Anything struck by the spell takes moderate damage and is slowed for two combat posts. How does it slow? Heat shock, I guess. Dancing Sand This spell allows you to control sand, dirt, dust and similar small particles within a ten-foot radius around you. If you move the particles fast enough, any enemy's exposed skin caught within it begins to take minor damage. Enemies have difficulty hearing and seeing in the swirling maelstrom of sand. into Dancing Embers This spell allows you to control ash, embers and similar small particles within a ten-foot radius around you. If you move the particles fast enough, any enemy's exposed skin caught within it begins to take minor damage. Enemies have difficulty hearing and seeing in the swirling maelstrom of ash. I think I made it worse in some respects because Alex will likely have to make her own ash to get the latter effect properly. Pressure Cutter An offensive spell devised for midair combat by the Cascadian Air Navy. It summons an up to 25-foot long and half-foot wide stream of high-speed, high-pressure air. This functions as an incredibly sharp cutting implement, capable of slicing through leather, cloth, and wood. This windstream is powerful enough that it can actually leave gouges in metal and stone. However, it is far less effective against yielding materials, such as flesh. Instead of cutting targets this wind will forcefully push them back with substantial force. This windstream lasts for up to two posts, during which time it can be swept across the battlefield or focused on a single target, though aiming the arrow stream is much more difficult at increasing range. It has become one of the most dreaded attacks in airship combat, with skilled and persistent casters capable of severing masts and blowing around a vessel's crew simultaneously. into Heat Cutter An offensive spell devised for midair combat by the Cascadian Air Navy, mimicked and altered by Alexandra Marne when she was very angry. It summons an up to 25-foot long and half-foot wide stream of high-speed, high-density flame. This functions as an incredibly sharp cutting implement, capable of slicing through leather, cloth, and wood. This stream of flame is powerful enough that it can actually leave gouges in metal and stone. However, it is far less effective against yielding materials, such as flesh. Instead of cutting targets this flame will forcefully push them back with substantial force. This flame blade lasts for up to two posts, during which time it can be swept across the battlefield or focused on a single target, though aiming the arrow stream is much more difficult at increasing range. It has become one of the most dreaded attacks in airship combat, with skilled and persistent casters capable of severing masts and blowing around a vessel's crew simultaneously.
