| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

If, say, I used Summon Familiar, would that be applicable to this, and I could grant it a power? Or is 'Summon Familiar' less of a 'summon' and more of a teleportation on the familiar to your current location? I vote the latter, but thought I'd ask anyway, since it'd be neat to, y'know, give my pets Solar Flare or something.

Summon Familiar is still a summon spell. No summoning spell simply creates the summoned creature out of nothing. The way I see it, when you summon a creature, such as an elemental or creature available through the Summoner PrC, the creature is summoned from its native habitat somewhere in the multiverse. The same happens when you summon your familiar. Not to mention "Summon Familiar" pretty clearly reads "summon" in the title

Yeah, I agree that this would work with Summon Familiar. |

I have a question like Van's so I thought it would be cool if I put it here <.< Can the circle be used to literally summon a creature to aid them? Like to summon a horse for a quick get-away? Saying of course, that I own said horse already? |

The item was designed so that it does not act as the summoning method itself. You have to have an alternate way of summoning the creature (e.g. Summoning spell, Summoner PrC, Summoning item). So you would need to own the horse and the Summon Familiar spell to do that. |

Along these lines, is the Frostfiend (day 4 giveaway) considered a pet or a summoning spell? |
