| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

If I want to change a set of special arrows like the new prize pool arrows to a different type of ammunition or a thrown ranged weapon, can I directly substitute it without purchasing anything extra, or do I need to purchase the type of ammo I want and do a fusion? |

For anything of equal or lesser value you can susbtitute the ammo more expensive ammo types I would say purchase the wanted ammo and fuse it with the special arrow. |

I would say just a simple substitution will be fine here, actually. Just keep the same number of projectiles and it should be fine. |

It would seem that I might need to wait for a final decision to be made about this. |

I agree with Seele, but I could be biased. In the case of GRP stuff, substitutions are probably fine. |

I'm also wanting to side with Seele and Taz, but we should probably get an answer from Ozan. Alternatively, we could move this to suggestions and let people give their opinions.

Sorry, I didn't see this question until it was linked in a staff request. You don't need to fuse them, you can just convert. Just make sure the bundle number is proportional (e.g. turning a bundle of 30 arrows into a bundle of 10 shurikens as per the ranged weapon shop). |

For the purposes of the new prize pool ammunition, is it still proportional, or do we get the full number of projectiles? My plan here is to convert the stack of three Blacksmoke Arrows to throwing knives. Arrows come in stacks of 30, and throwing knives come in stacks of 5. Doing the math, that would mean there should be half a Blacksmoke Throwing Knife, which would round up to one. This seems a bit ridiculous, especially since I'm pretty sure the point of the stack sizes was not to limit the number of projectiles but to limit the number of times the effect could be used in a thread. On the other hand, in the case of the arrows in Nym's (which, for some reason, do not have a stack size specified), it makes sense that the purchase is one full stack, regardless of the type of ammunition involved. |

As Seele said "I would say just a simple substitution will be fine here, actually. Just keep the same number of projectiles and it should be fine." It's been talked about in the staff forums that the ammunition wasn't supposed to be restrictive, but the numbers given are specific for a reason. The stacking effects can get a bit out of hand with more than the allotted amount. So 3 Blacksmoke Arrows can be subbed for 3 Blacksmoke Shurikens or 3 Blacksmoke Chakrams or 3 Blacksmoke Sling Bullets, et cetera. |
