Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Nathirajad, the eldest of the three and the only sane man.

Relationships:

Tuu'mil -- Tolerable at best. While Nathirajad acknowledges that Tuu'mil has something of a good heart, he doesn't understand why he had to get saddled with the idiot. Tuu'mil is young, foolish, and physically useless; however, certain council members were anxious at the thought of two of the most powerful youths in the village traveling (and possibly scheming) alone together for any long period of time. They convinced the local shaman to part with her own (relatively meek) disciple -- Tuu'mil -- to balance preemptively any power struggles that might arise.

Inuuvika -- Strained. During their upbringing, he considered Inuuvika to be a more or less his rival, as they were raised and preened by two of the more influential elders for future leadership positions. When Nathirajad was selected as the village ambassador, he felt that he had finally "won" the rivalry; that is, until Inuuvika was assigned as the muscle to accompany him. To Nathirajad, her very presence threatens his leadership of the party. Her snarky comments and strong will don't improve the effect.

Tuu'mil, tag-along teen and the heart of the trio.

Relationships:

Nathirajad -- Cherished. Nathirajad's a pretty cool guy, after all. Sure, he can be a bit grumpy and tunnel-visioned sometimes... but that's just because he's such a hard worker. Back in the village, Nathirajad was always too busy to hang out, so Tuu'mil never really got a chance to know him much. Of course, Tuu'mil understood that his friend's responsibilities were greater than his own and didn't hold it against him. Now that they're traveling together, however, Tuu'mil is excited to be finally able to keep proper company with the older goblin.

Inuuvika -- Chummy. Even though Tuu'mil was perhaps not as talented compared to the other elders' apprentices, Inuuvika could always be trusted to pitch in a sympathetic word for him. Sometimes, she'd stop by the shaman's hut for lunch and they'd discuss magic or swap folktales or simply stare at the sky and cloud-gaze. Those moments were not lost on Tuu'mil; even now, years later, he's delighted to be traipsing the world with his dear friend.

Inuuvika, deadpan snarker and the designated muscle.

Relationships:

Nathirajad -- Obnoxious. Besides herself, Nathirajad was the only other apprentice that showed real potential as a village power. This would not have been a problem for Inuuvika -- she could handle herself in a competition and steel sharpens steel, besides -- had Nathirajad not been so damn aloof and straight-laced all the time. As the years passed, she vented her irritation by figuring out how to get under his skin. Now she find his personality quirks amusing in their own way. Keeping him company on his little diplomacy missions might not be her preferred activity, but she's determined to have fun with it.

Tuu'mil -- Endearing. Back in the village, whenever local politics would get too stressful, she'd head over to the shaman's hut to visit Tuu'mil. Unlike the other apprentices, he didn't care much for power or games of deceit, yet he was still more intelligent and educated than the average village youth. She found his honest, unique perspectives refreshing after battling the subtlety of village politics, even if she did not necessarily agree with them. As it is, Tuu'mil is probably the closest thing Inuuvika has to a friend.
