Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Bloodeye growled as he helped process the new prisoners, they had been arrested after a particularly large scale fight, half of the nearby SIN forces had been called in to help, which lead to a whopping fifty arrests. He had been forced to read lists instead of write, which was a blessing in itself, since his large stone hands couldn't grab the quill. A name came up that had crossed his desk several times... Eko Kinslayer, he didn't know much about her besides that she killed one of her kin in the streets. Of course just as he was about to read off her name, a woman ripped the pages out of his hand, grabbing the golden chain that attached the black cloak to his form, and started to drag him away.

The woman had waist length black hair, mismatched eyes, one green and one blue, she wore black leather armor from head to toe, and carried only a handaxe on her hip. Her voice was clear and soft, but had an edge to it despite her tone, "Granitefist. Get to the interrogation room and wait for a possible informant, she is in the Headquarters and will be taken to the room... after some downtime in one of the High Security cells."

Bloodeye knew better than to question his wife... he simply nodded as he followed her. As soon as they were going to split paths, she grabbed him again and whispered into his ear, "Don't worry sweetums, I'll be home first so I can make you some ham and baked sweet potatoes." Bloodeye barely turned his head, his single blood red eye stared at her, his stony expression became soft for a moment... and then the two went their ways. Bloodeye was now on his way to the interrogation room... and hopefully he would be home in time for ham and potatoes.

Lord Kelok was losing his mind. Eko had never before seen so many people tear through the streets of Balefire. The huge mob -- or was it a private militia? -- swept into a southwestern neighborhood and flushed out every hint of opposition. Buildings caught on fire or collapsed. The dead, all combatants as far as she could tell, littered the streets. The banner of the Dueling Serpents unfurled from high rooftops. Eko wasn't swept into the chaos until she caught word of casualties. One of her enforcers, a young man, lived in that neighborhood. He was mowed down by the Keloken war machine. Three other employees and confidants were trapped, and Eko intended to rescue them. She donned a black scarf and jumped rooftops.

The last thing she remembered was SIN. Eko had taken a cheap shot from one of the Keloken, then pinned to the street and her scarf torn down. She felt her body getting pushed and pulled around. Maybe she had gotten up again, almost got away, but then was slammed into a nearby wall. SIN agents crowded in the street and she lost consciousness, but wasn't sure how.

She was jostled awake and found the jarring change of scenery frightening. One of her eyes was swollen shut but otherwise she seemed alright. Eko got crushed in a herd of troublemakers awaiting processing at SIN Headquarters. That placed her several miles off-course, in central Balefire. She hadn't managed to reach the employees she wanted to save. Cells filled up. It took an hour to reach the front of the line. As the only small girl in the entire arrested group, Eko stood out; her processors spent a while verifying her identity and deliberating her holding situation. They seemed to be concerned about how she would fare sharing a cell with many others who were not only larger than her, but part of factions that were enemies of hers: Keloken and a slew of lesser gangs. Even waiting in line had demonstrated the issue, as people had knocked into her and whispered insults. Throughout the whole process the girl had remained entirely passive and expressionless.

They ended up placing her alone in an unused, small High Security cell. Her escorts opened up the plated door, revealing a room flooded with intense white light. Eko's eyes went wide and she completely abandoned her impassive countenance. "No. Put me in a different cell." Her voice became desperate quickly as they urged her inside. She struggled. "No. No!" The door shut and locked behind her as she screamed with an uncharacteristic urgency, once. She hammered her fists against the door, shouting for a transfer.

It hurt. The light was so bright and came from every corner, every wall it seemed. The cell must have been designed for holding dangerous creatures of the night. Eko hyperventilated, breaking into a cold sweat. Her eyes burned, they couldn't adjust to the light, and no matter how hard she shut her eyes the light pierced through. She lowered herself to the floor and buried her face in her arms, trying to fight off the spasms of breathing and overwhelming panic. She tried to convince herself that she was still in the dark, or blind, or something, just not here. They must have kept her there for upwards of two hours before the door opened again.

Eko practically attacked the SIN agents in order to get herself out as fast as possible. The light just highlighted all the scratches on her face, the dry tears on her cheeks, and especially how dirty and ragged and scrawny she really looked. They walked her through the halls of Headquarters, which gave her some time to compose herself. She wiped off her face with the heels of her wrists and took a deep breath, mentally chastising herself for overreacting to such a meaningless fear. Eventually they told her to enter what looked to be an interrogation room. It was empty save for a table with two chairs placed opposite each other. She took a seat on one side, placed her cuffed hands folded in front of her. When the interrogator came in, her glare focused in on him and never left.

Bloodeye walked into the room only to meet the glare of a young girl... she couldn't have been more than sixteen. It made him feel disgust just thinking about where she could have been raised to already be a criminal. He sat down on the opposite side of the table, keeping the stoney silence for only a few minutes longer, and then he spoke in his deep gravelly voice, "You have been brought here under charges of murder, manslaughter, and assault... but compared to the other criminals we have locked up, you're a light weight." He slammed a single stone fist into the table, the wooden top immediately cracked, a small show of power, probably ineffectual, but perhaps it might have some small effect.

He tapped the table with a single stone finger as he spoke, "I am Morrison Granitefist, Detective and Operative of SIN, or as your fellow gang members have affectionately called... Bloodeye. Chief Granitefist has told me that we might be able to work out a deal with you. Obviously from the carnage we can tell no small time gang started this... what we need is something we sorely lack... information on what sparked this battle. Usually something like this would fall to the common guards, but we've been tasked to take charge, just from that you should be able to tell just how serious the situation is." The situation was pretty terrible, it would take almost two weeks to get the burnt wreckage out of the city and another month to get everything rebuilt... there would be a few more families sleeping on the streets for a while.

The door opened again, a common guard rushing in to drop off a report, Bloodeye dismissed him and fingered through it, reading off the prices of the damaged houses, destroyed stores, the dead, and finally how many non-combatant casualties. The amount was staggering... the Mad Alchemical Bomber had killed less people with a single bomb... not that he got much farther once Bloodeye was on the case. Bloodeye read the final lines aloud, "Reports show that the men who started it could be related to Eko Kinslayer, whether they are friends or enemies is unknown, if she does not cooperate... she will be held for Public Execution by order of the Chief of SIN, Lynndis, The Axe, Granitefist."

He let that sink in, slowly nodding as he recounted a story, "My wife did something like this before... purposely made it public so the man's friends would mount a last minute rescue. She took her handaxe and cut down ten men while nearby guards surrounded and executed the rest. You might not rememeber it... but it only happened a few years ago, I bet you would be able to look into it... if you cooperate." He hoped this girl had some sense of honor... or at least a sense of self preservation, he had seen far to many people die over thinking their friends could save them or that their wild threats actually had any effect on the SIN. Perhaps this time he wouldn't have to completely smash a table to prove his point.

Eko, used to being told that she was a lightweight, nodded blankly. She had heard of Bloodeye before. Among the small-time young criminals of the Beehive where she grew up, throwing the name Bloodeye around had the same effect as talking about the bogeyman: intended to scare, but people eventually grew out of it and thought of him as kind of like a mythic figure or urban legend. She'd heard terrrible stories, news about the Axe as well, but didn't know she was Granitefist's wife. A pair of married monsters, it seemed. However, it actually surprised Eko more that such a high-profile investigator was bothering to be the one to interrogate someone like her. He revealed his intent to use her as a pawn to gain more information on the bigger players in this recent outbreak of violence. Acting as an informer would give her a way out of execution by the Axe.

"I'm not convinced you'd just let me go once I talk. That doesn't seem very efficient from your crime-fighting point of view. I mean, I would be happy to tell you everything I know about those people, but I want to know for certain that I won't take an axe to the back of the head the moment I step out of here." Eko did her best to sound as calm, maybe even casual, as possible when regarding the intimidating figure of Bloodeye. Another very important request came to mind, and its weightiness made her break eye contact. "I also want..." Her face twisted into a look somewhere between a scowl and trying not to cry. "I don't want to go back into the cell with the light in it. I'll only agree if you promise me you'll never put me there again."

Bloodeye listened to her... but his features softened when she mentioned not wanting to go back to the high security cell. Perhaps it was a bit much for a child... with this information he nodded, "I promise as a member of SIN I will see to it that those two requests are met. I have never willingly killed or tortured anyone Miss Eko... I am only trying to keep murderers and smugglers off the streets. Sometimes I run into a werewolf or a vampire, but you should know that I work only for the good of the people."

He absentmindedly backhanded the side of the table, causing the damaged area to vibrate until the table leg fell off. He sighed as he used his other hand to swat the entire table to the side, sending it skidding away from the both of them. Bloodeye nodded to her, "Tell me everything. Who did it, which gangs were involved, tell me all of it. I will personally see you out of central Balefire. Whatever is said in here is between you and me, we will not announce your involvement in any way, shape, or form. Our headquarters is also outfitted with the latest anti-scrying runes, nobody will be able to magically peep into this conversation." He leaned back in his chair, letting Eko speak her piece.

Eko flinched when the table went flying. She made a mental note not to get anywhere near Bloodeye's striking range, despite his apparent pacifism (which never featured in the childhood stories she heard and was totally new to her). However, the investigator seemed trustworthy enough. She didn't detect any of the usual signs of deceit. At the moment, cooperating was her best bet to getting out of here. It wasn't like she wanted to protect those enemies by withholding information, anyway. "Lord Kelok is planning something. I don't know what. Ever since I started getting involved with the city, I've heard news of his expansions. He's been preying on every patch of the city that has too much slack on it, places he can easily roll through and take over. It's honestly strange -- Lords of Balefire usually don't seem that interested in acquiring territory alone. There's usually more to their motivation than just having a lot of places to hang your symbol.

Just a little over a half-year back he tried to cripple the Western Quarter by taking over one of its central meeting spots at Mohdu's Inn and Tavern. I stopped that, but I keep hearing of new places or new factions getting taken over almost every month. It's all poor districts, weak gangs, weak Lords, upstarts like me -- basically anything weaker than him. Just last month he conquered a small gang in the southeast called the Bolos, and I saw some of them fighting for him in the most recent chaos."

Eko looked down at her feet, refusing to let a frown appear on her face. "I got involved in order to rescue my employees, who were missing in action. They're probably dead now. Or forced into some contract to work for Kelok against me, which would be worse than them getting killed. But-- one thing I noticed was that this time, they were killing on the streets. Not taking prisoners like Kelok normally does. I saw Nightwolves dying on the side of the road. Kelok doesn't do massacres usually. Something about this is special."

Bloodeye listened to the girl, keeping the same stoney expression from before, it seems that Lord Kelok was getting a bit to big for his britches, and he was starting to rapidly expand his territory. Of course Kelok was one of the Lords of Balefire that had eluded both the Balefire Guards and SIN, if this information could be used to take Kelok down, or at the very least give him a bloody nose, then Bloodeye would follow it till the end of the case. A small thought blossomed in his mind, perhaps the slaughter was for something else... not a message or a warning... but something necessary for something more sinister. He went through a few scenarios in his head... the SIN were called to help a massive fight, both the guards and the SIN would be withdrawing a good portion of their men to help process the criminals or clean up the mess... but the clean up wouldn't happen for... hours.

Bloodeye stood up and growled, turning towards the door, "I think he was searching for flesh, blood, and any way to sustain possible vampires, werewolves, or possibly give them to a necromancer. He might be going for a much larger grab for power. Both the Guard and SIN will be processing criminals for hours, giving him free reign over the crime scene... kill a few guards, maybe one or two agents of SIN... collect the parts, disappear into the darkness." It was farfetched... but why else would he want the SIN to be so busy... if he just wanted to kill people to send a message a burning inn or tavern would suffice, no, this was large and was meant to be a show, a massive distraction.

Bloodeye pointed at Eko, "I am going to request your help. We are going to find out what exactly Lord Kelok is doing and then we are going to stop it. There is a chance I will need your help recording exactly what he was trying to gather... and perhaps record any payments he could be making. Of course if I happen to be to 'busy' collecting all of the evidence, I wouldn't be surprised if some gang members ended up sneaking off with some of his goods." He had been running this kind of game for years, give the criminal a cookie and get his help, perhaps Eko would do the same, help him, steal some gold from the target, and then disappear, after all, he only needed her knowledge on certain areas of Balefire.

Eko let herself arch her eyebrows to express her surprise at this new, totally out-of-nowhere theory of his. But after he gave a more in-depth explanation, she thought about it more. Flesh and blood... "Wait. I just remembered. I didn't realize it was important at the time, but I thought it was strange. On my way to the battle, I saw all these horse-drawn carts coming in on the streets leading to the massacre. They were empty. Could they...?" She trailed off. "Oh, Kelok... that man is going insane." Bloodeye actually asked her for help not only in supplying information, but with the actual investigation as well. That was something she wasn't expecting. Eko never thought of herself as ever working on that side of the law. Her ultimate goals worked independent of Balefire's limited law, sometimes against it.

"I'll work with you. It's the most likely way I'll find out what happened to my employees. May I be released of these fetters, then?" Eko took the liberty to stand, albeit slowly and deliberately so it didn't look like she was about to attack. She held out her arms, offering the shackles to Bloodeye inquisitively. "And where will we start the investigation? The crime scene itself? I also know where Lord Kelok's mansion is. I've been inside of it, so I know the layout."

Bloodeye listened to Eko's words, his stoney face became a furled angry snarl, and just as she finished speaking, Bloodeye felt it was time to go. He went to the door and grabbed the handle, despite his best effort he still made small impressions on the metal with his stone fingers. He immediately gave a short report to the guards outside, issuing orders about informing the Chief, but his final words were yelled out at the top of his lungs for all to hear, "Everyone move! Out of my way! Start a mass recall of all SIN agents outside of Balefire! Spread out and scour the streets in groups of three or four! Any odd ones out, stay here, and I don't care if it takes all night, but I want these men processed and sent to prison before I get back in the morning! Move move move!"

The average guards that had been assigned to help process began running about, trying to get out of Bloodeye's way as he lead Eko outside, back to the familiar lantern lit darkness of Balefire. The veteran SIN Agents were already grabbing silver lined weapons or silver tipped bolts, bottles of holy water, and one of them even held a massive repeating crossbow, loaded with glowing bolts. Bloodeye looked back to Eko and nodded, "We go to the crime scene first. There's no way in the abyss that Kelok is dumb enough to have the main operations at his own mansion and I doubt any of the paperwork is there. They would need a place he could inspect on occasion or exchange letters by courier, either way, I suggest you get ready for a fight... but try to keep any humans alive, feel free to kill Vampires, Werewolves, Necromancers, or Undead without thinking." All of those things... Bloodeye could kill, inhuman monsters or people that wanted to create them for some sick experiment, anything goes when the supernatural comes into play.

Bloodeye knew the most direct route, but it was usually filled with stacked crates or fences to try and keep out the riffraff... but against his massive fists, they were like chaff before a strong wind. Each heavy punch shattered whatever obstacle was in his way, clearing crates, knocking fences down, and when a stonewall blocked his way, he simply put his shoulder forward and charged it, shattering the wall and sending dust all over the ground. He rolled his shoulders as he turned the final corner, to a seen that lacked corpses, that lacked blood... the crime scene was swept clean.

Bloodeye growled as he stomped forward, speaking to Eko without turning his head, "We need to find any evidence, anything odd... besides the fact that all of our evidence is gone." Hopefully Eko could spot something... because at this rate, Bloodeye was almost out of ideas.

Eko was slower coming out, hesitantly offering her fetters to the nearest SIN officer as Bloodeye shouted orders. The guard at the door of the interrogation room had a key to them, and with a little bit of explaining she managed to be freed from the chains and manacles. She quietly shadowed Bloodeye, hoping not to attract attention from SIN or the multitudes of criminals waiting to be processed. Some of them sneered at her and a few thought it worthwhile to heckle her, but she ignored them. A SIN agent surprised her by piling her confiscated belongings into her arms. They left the headquarters building at a brisk pace, Eko hurriedly fastening her weapons back onto her body and slipping on her partially fur-lined jacket. It was cold outside like always -- Balefire was never warm -- but people spoke of spring arriving beyond the permanently dark city. At least it wasn't snowing.

Since she felt following directly behind Bloodeye was her only option for traveling, Eko spent most of their trip to the crime scene a bit flabbergasted. Such a prominent investigator for SIN had surprisingly little regard for property. Even hanging back ten or twenty feet still bathed Eko in the aftereffects of his punching destruction: splinters of wood and debris flying everywhere, hitting her, getting caught in her hair. She flinched every time he punched something, even if she predicted it. Eko wondered if SIN was as legitimate as she thought, if a man like him could be in a position of power. He even went and charged straight through a stone wall, which surprisingly led them straight to the crime scene.

His mode of travel was direct. Eko could appreciate that, at least.

The crime scene was scrubbed suspiciously clean. How long had it taken? It couldn't have been more than a half-day between now and the last time she'd been here, when the massacre was picking up speed. When Morrison mentioned that all the evidence was gone, Eko finally stepped past him into the eerily empty street. "No cleanup job is perfect," she said, looking around. The road was paved; no cartwheel-marks. How did they scrub the blood from the road? Eko crouched near the side of the road, studying it closer. "Look. There's still dust and grime on the road, but no blood." To demonstrate, Eko wiped her first two fingers across the cobbles and held them up to Bloodeye, showing the pads stained black with filth. She wiped it off on her pantleg and started poking through the area around the buildings.

"Is there such thing as a 'blood mage?' Someone who can use magic to lift the blood directly off the ground, leaving other contaminants behind? If they just took water and scrubbed down the walls and road, it would not only take forever but it would make everything look much cleaner than I see it." Something caught Eko's eye near the side wall of a local shop's building, a bit out of the way. She went to look at it closer, but a man came out of that very shop, probably having heard their commotion. He had nearly white skin and a gaunt, sunken face with high cheekbones and pale pink eyes.

"What are you people doing here? This is Lord Kelok the Gangkiller's territory now."

Bloodeye listened to Eko's words... it was obvious that no clean up job was perfect... but sometimes you needed magic to pick up subtle hints, which Bloodeye had no magic to speak of. Eko's insight did broaden the possible suspects... but mages that could control blood were rarely heard of, it was difficult and dangerous magic, and if a group of them were together... then a prolonged fight would be their death. Bloodeye stroked his chin just as a man ran outside, mentioning this was no Lord Kelok's territory. Bloodeye took a few lumbering steps forward, looking down at the man as he brought his fist inside the loosely hanging cloak, turning it slightly to show off the badge of a SIN Agent.

The man stopped and spluttered a bit as he tried to back away, only for a heavy stone hand to fall onto his shoulder. Bloodeye looked down at him with his one good eye, "I suggest you tell me who cleaned this place up... or give me a direction. Or else I'll have to bring you in for real questioning... where we have healers on standby waiting to fix your broken body after I rough you up a bit with my stone fists." The man's face went even paler, it almost seemed impossible, but there it was, almost a perfectly white as snow face.

The man nodded quickly as he explained, "Oh, eh, er, yes sir. I saw them SIN Agent fellas help moppin' everything up, and then one of them went and killed the others as a buncha these big ol' covered wagons came up. After that I don't know, I ducked my head down and hoped they wouldn't break into my store. After that some large fella went around, telling us who we were supposed to start paying protection fees to. Is that enough for you sir?"

Bloodeye slowly digested the information, this was more common than he liked, not many details on who did it, but plenty of details on what went on. He went over a mental list of all the SIN Agents on clean up duty... there was only two, one of them was a paper pusher on his first real assignment, the other was ex-Istani Military personal, a man who had almost become an Istani Ranger... he was no mage. Bloodeye growled as he let the man return to his home, he turned back to Eko as he explained, "We had a mole in our own forces... when this gets out we'll need to make more thorough background checks. Though thanks to this little tidbit we are one step closer to finding out the truth."

He began looking over the area... trying to find even the smallest clue, as to where they could have gone. The streets had the normal dust and debris... but there was something odd, he walked down one of the roads for a short time... coming back as loud panting met his ears, along with the sound of paws slapping against stone. He charged back to Eko and slid to a stop, turning so he was back to back with her, "Someone either just set the dogs out on us... or we've got werewolves." Two large beasts leaped from the roof, sliding to a halt as they hit the ground, one of them was larger with more scars, while the other was smaller and seemed more excited to fight. Bloodeye rolled his shoulders as he spoke, "You interrogate the small one, I'll interrogate the big one." The small one would be to fast for Bloodeye... he needed to stick to the bulkier foes, the ones his stone fists could actually hit.

A mole? Eko had considered the possibility before. She made a mental note to do more stringent background checks on her own employees, even though they weren't the ones affected by this. She kept looking for clues even as Bloodeye disappeared down the road; the civilian had been harmless, just a mouse trying to figure out who was extorting him now. No one who merited respect, surely. As Eko was examining the strange object on the side of the shop, Bloodeye came rushing back -- and he brought some friends with him. Eko was amused by the thought of interrogating a pair of brutish wolfdogs, but unclipped the loop that kept her whip attached to her belt. The smaller creature launched itself in her direction and received a deep lash in the nose. It yelped, landing several feet behind Eko. Whips could cut like knives.

Reddish-black blood spilled on its landing. Eko turned around, her whip flying in a confusing wave of protection around her. The dog flinched every time it cracked -- if it was really a werewolf, it probably wasn't used to its increased sense of hearing. It circled around her, looking for an opening. Eko ran forward and struck again. Blood matted its fur. This made it angry. It charged, taking a handful of hits and trying to ignore them. Eko ripped back the cord of her whip, pivoted on her heel and caught the wolfdog in the throat -- with the hardened butt of her whip. It landed on its side, legs scrambling, but Eko was already upon it. The cord landed around its front paws and wrapped tightly around. It bit at the whip, struggling to get back on its feet, but Eko quickly wrapped the weapon one more time around its neck. Placing one boot on the back of its neck, she wrenched the handle back and pulled the whole complicated arrangement tight.

"No! No! Stop!" the so-called wolfdog half-barked, half-wheezed.

Eko loosened the whip just enough for it to not be choking to death. "Speak, pup."

Bloodeye brought his fists up into a stiff front guard, the large beast shifted into his hybrid form, slower than his beast form, but more powerful... which suited Bloodeye fine. Bloodeye began his charge directly at the beast, who returned with two powerful swiping claws, only to leave a few scratches on the stone arms. Bloodeye kept up his stiff guard, always keeping one arm close to his body, primarily using his left arm to throw short uppercuts and jabs.

The beast used his arms and claws to try and swipe away Bloodeye's blows, only letting a few connect with his chest. He let out a throaty chuckle before speaking, "Fool, you lack silver, what good will your fists do?" Bloodeye replied by dropping his right guard, letting the beast send his raking claws towards it... only for Bloodeye to duck under the werewolf's arm and send a powerful left hook into his stomach, dropping the werewolf to the ground.

Bloodeye stood over him and kept his stone fists falling, he may be unable to kill the werewolf quickly... so he didn't have to worry about beating it to badly. It was nearly a half minute later when he stopped punching, the werewolf's black fur was matted with red and black blood. The werewolf gasped in pain as Bloodeye grabbed his head, placing his thumb over his eye, "Talk." The werewolf made a half attempt at spitting at him, only for Bloodeye to gouge his eye out, "Talk." A second time he tried... and Bloodeye raised his arms, slamming it down onto the top of the werewolf's skull, cracking it open and letting the werewolf bleed into the streets.

Bloodeye walked over to his temporary partner, "I hope that one talks more than the other... I might have killed the werewolf. Apparently silver isn't necessary... stones can crush werewolf skulls as easily as human skulls." He hoped the little threat would make the shorter werewolf speak, his partner was pretty stubborn until the end.

The younger werewolf, still in his beast form, yelped in horror when he saw the other one die brutally. "B-Bloodeye of the Special Investigations Unit... Eko Kinslayer too?"

Eko's whip tightened suddenly enough for the creature to yelp again and squirm. "Eyes on me."

"Please please no stop, stop!"

The whip loosened again. "You heard him. Talk."

"Please don't kill me!"

"If you've got good information, we won't kill you."

"The tannery outside the city limits!" the werewolf gasped. "Vadklav Tannery. Oh gods, you killed my brother in cold blood--"

Eko, unamused, gave the whip a little tug as if forcing a stubborn dog on a leash to keep walking. "What about the tannery? That's Lord Kelok's property. And you attacked us first. We had every right to defend ourselves."

Bloodeye listened to the werewolf and heard the term, 'cold blood'... which was somewhat true, he had defeated him and kept on going anyway, it wasn't an uncommon crime for the SIN to kill and not capture the supernatural creatures that tried to attack them. Bloodeye looked down at the werewolf and bowed his head, "Your brother wasn't human, he thought of nothing but gutting me in these streets. I know you must have your reasons for working with Kelok... and I detest killing unless I have to or if it's for the safety of the citizens. I doubt there will ever be a day when the SIN won't be an integral part of our city's defense against the darkness."

He knelt down to stare the werewolf in the eye as he spoke, "Now tell me everything you know about the Tannery as you lead us to it... if you do so I can promise a lenient punishment for assault of a SIN agent."

The werewolf lowered his head and began to whine as he lead the way, speaking in short bursts between his whining, "Fine... I don't know much though. My big brother was the one who did most of the deals. All I know is that they have a funny looking man in a red cloak that uses blood to cast spells. A few hungry werewolves... and a vampire or two. I don't know why they're all there... but Kelok would only give us human flesh to eat... brother would make sure I didn't eat any, said eating humans was... wrong... but I don't know why."

Once he became silent Bloodeye spoke, "Werewolves who eat human flesh become more beastlike, your brother probably ate your portion to make it seem like you were also slowly becoming a mindless killing machine. If this is the case then Kelok is going to have even more crimes on him... this might not be a bloody nose anymore, we might take an arm off him if this operation is a success." Bloodeye gave a small smirk before returning to his same blank, stoney expression, it wouldn't be much longer until they reached the Tannery... and the showdown between SIN forces and enemy supernaturals.
