| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Fixitt smirked at the man as he backed off, it seemed the idea of getting new eyes was more then enough incentive for him to believe Fixitt's words. He turned to look at Shan as he started to apologize about not giving him usable information, though when he started to wonder what kind of deal Fixitt had with the harbor master, he happened to run into a crate. Fixitt looked at the crate and immediately recognized it, it was the illegally shipped parts he had gotten smuggled over, he had paid a pretty penny for the enchanted box that appeared as a crate. Fixitt chuckled, "Good eye, this is a special crate, it changes it's skin to make itself appear like any other crate. Color, shape, size, it can change just about anything as long as it stays the relatively same size, I use this to transport my limbs and parts. I don't want the competition taking my ideas and plans for their own, bad for business." The enchantment made it rather hard to spot without some kind of magical detection device, and Shan's eye had found it with immediate ease, this eye would also be able to detect hidden objects... make it an easy buy for inspectors. He only pondered the legal and illegal uses for a few minutes before shrugging, "Well Shan, it was a pleasure to meet you. If that eye gives you any trouble, just remember, you have one free checkup, I'd be more then happy to replace that prototype for a normal eye if you'd like. Though if I were you... I'd keep it, just remember the next time you're in Striberg you need to visit me and give me all of the data on what the eye has seen. It will make for an interesting study." It was more then that though, he had found himself enjoying the bard's company, though that was probably because it was a pleasant change of pace from the normal men and women he found coming to his shop, Shan was a breath of fresh air... and the new owner of his first eye graft. |

"I think I'll keep it, if that's alright," Shan said, knocking on the faux crate. It felt and sounded like a wooden crate, but it kept looking like a state prop to his eye. He didn't know what sort of magics were part of this container, but they had to be expensive. What sort of competition is there in Striberg for artificial limbs? his curiosity asked. Shan never looked into it, since he had no interest in it. Was there a bustling grafting industry he was never aware of? He knew it'd grown in popularity recently, but hearing Dr. Fixitt admit he'd gone to such lengths to ensure he was ahead of the curve. "And I can keep a log of how things look, as best I can. I'd be interested to know if all eyes see the same sort of thing or if it changes based on who's looking. I hope we can compare notes so I could learn that." Shan held out a hand to the doctor, a huge smile on his face. "Again, thanks for helping me out, Dr. Fixitt. I really have no idea where I'd be without you." He had to admit, he liked the doctor, who's upbeat inquisitive mind was fun to follow. He found anyone who pursued their passion interesting, and Fixitt was exploring a new world of healing with his grafts, improving lives all around him by giving them back their limbs and, in his case, sight. He literally helped the blind see and the lame walk. That was something worth keeping an eye on, if only for inspiration. Edited by Shan Orison, Sat Jun 16, 2012 2:01 pm.

Fixitt smiled and took Shan's hand, "Take good care of that eye, as a prototype it has a lot of my secrets built into it. Now I must go, I have many things to do, goodbye and good luck Shan." He let go of his hand and tipped his hat, turning on his heel and starting to walk back towards his house. His mind was filled with ideas of future grafts, new forms of magical eyes and other amazing grafts. His feet found the path to his home, carrying home, his form settling down in his large comfy chair. He pushed his hat down, shading his eyes as he slowly fell into a deep slumber. His deep snoring causing a stir as Rummsfield went about cleaning up the shop, it was an interesting day and Fixitt knew only more would come with his new ideas. |
