| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

The day was long so far Coreith had arrived in Striberg not to long ago looking for work, and it was his lucky day. He found it, they offered him an amount of gold that he just couldn't turn down, but in turn he would have to help defend Striberg with his life, for now anyway until the White Queen was gone or they didn't need him anymore. The town was strange if anything this had only been his second time ever coming to it. However that was when he was young, around 15 years of age. He always thought it was a rather magnificent place though it made him a little irritated that this so called White Queen would just bombard the city like this. He wasn't to found of this White Queen now and if he could help out anyway he could then he was willing. The thing was he would have done this for free but they offered him a price and he wasn't really the type to turn down money. It seemed that the city guards where keeping the hordes of enemy's at bay and slowly pushing them back. Though along the way to the lines of the battle field Coreith occasionally encountered a minion of the White Queen that was able to get past the city's guards and sneak further into the city. As he was rushing towards the battle field he saw a golem that had somehow got past the guards. It was causing a little trouble but trying to remain low, however Coreith would not let that happen. He wouldn't let this White Queen get her way, at least not while he was around for the time being. He grabbed his bow and one of his arrows. He notched it up and aimed it in the path of which the golem was headed. Now he just had to wait to it ran into its sight. Coreith could have just aimed directly at him and followed him but he was a better archer then that he knew that if he could predict the golems movements he could hit him without unnecessary movement and tracking on his part. It was time the golem had came into his line of vision just like he predicted. He places the nock of his arrow on the nocking point of the bow, pulled back as hard as he could. With a lick of his lips, squinting of his eyes and just a ever so slight release of his hand the arrow was launched forward at a high speed. The arrow whisked through the air and all the golem would hear is a slight whistle before his vision grew dark and he dropped. A direct and almost painless hit to the head was a perfect way to kill them golem. Coreith's hit was dead on very precise in fact. As the golem dropped a bit of his blood was spilled across the damp streets of Striberg. He ran towards him and pulled out his arrow then proceeding to flick the blood of the arrow with a quick whip of his wrest before placing it back in his quiver. "These golems disgust me..." Just as he did a guard arrived that was suppose to stay further inside the town and lead people to safety arrived. He had a few cut and bruises, most likely due to him fighting. However Coreith noticed it was one other coming up behind him. |

Combat, Telo was no stranger to it, nor was he afraid or unskilled about it. He was, however, quite brutal when enacting such a thing. He wielded a huge sword, a Zweihander, a blade that was six feet long, a hilt that was a foot and a half, and with the strength of a Barbarian prince behind it, the giant blade was deadly. So deadly, in fact, that the berserkers that rushed across the bridges seemed almost afraid of his strikes as he cleaved their fellows in half. Of course, being berserkers, they did not flee, they merely rushed onwards. The same could be said of the earth golems that struggled and fought against him, their rocky exterior being cleaved with little trouble through simple physical strength, Telo not even worrying about his blades sharpness due to such mastery having existed in it's forging. Of course, he wouldn't be on the bridge all by himself, fighting against creatures that rivaled even his own size, and risking death by numbers, no, he had a pet with him, a creature that he had rescued from the great underdark, a creature made of steel, an Alchemical Golem. This Golem bore it's heavy armour with little issue, it's speed similar to that of a feline, and it's sharp claws rending through flesh and stone alike. Neither of this pair were ones to be trifled with, even by the best of men. And those that faced them, were not nearly the best. |
