Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Diana stood forward when he stood aside, and there he was. One young man, maybe seventeen or around there at least, was walking alone on home. She smiled, and her silver eyes began to turn a blood red without her even realizing. She let the world darken, her focus on him and him alone. She waited until he was at the shortest distance, so she would be able to jump him before he even knew she was there. Unlike her maker, she was not going to be quite as coy with her first meal as a Vampire.

She jumped down and ran at him. Much as she had hoped he did not notice her until it was too late. She pinned him to the wall the building, her body holding one arm, the other arm pinned by her hand, and her other hand over his mouth. She smiled maliciously, enjoying the look of fear dawning on his face, his helpless struggles and muffled cries, for mercy or help she did not know. She merely enjoyed it and brought her mouth to his neck, her red eyes immediately drawing to the veins.

She did not resist the need to bite in at all, and his muffled screams of pain did not last too long after she started to drink down the blood. The taste went down her throat and it was definitely to her liking. As his resistance started fading she let herself relax, releasing his mouth and arm, and draped herself over her helpless prey like a lover. He was too weak to cry out now, and his arms went down to his sides lazily.

Heh. This was almost amusing to waste. It was a clean scene at least. Allaer thought back on that stormy day that he raided this abandoned factory with some guy with two swords. He had lost his cool and there was blood everywhere. He even needed to throw away the pair of clothes he was wearing. Heads weren't recognisable from what they were before hand, too. That was entertaining and he made a lot of money that day.

With a small laugh, he started clapping. "Thats was an okay firsts time. Of course you were completely aware of your situation unlike some people." He said and repressed the first week of his life as a vampire. It was horrifying, to say the least. "Do you wish for any other instructions or are you ready to go off on your own? Of course, sticking around for companionship is always possible." It was his way of making a friend, he guessed. He had friends, just new ones were always nice. Friends in dark places, of course.

Diana let the young, dead man fall down drunkenly. Passers by might think he had simply gotten drunk, at least until they got a bit closer. She would have loved to see the looks on people's faces as they realized he was dead, but she had no desire to stay in Cascadia that long. The night was still young, and feeling invigorated and there was a need to go back to her home land. Perhaps it was vampiric instinct to travel back to where she was born in life? She'd ask but as she looked back up she realized she had no desire to stick around even long enough to ask a few more questions.

Now that she had what she wanted from him, she was looking at someone who no longer had anything interesting about him. She would remember her maker, oh yes, but she did not feel the need to stay around him, nor even fain liking him much more. But she would not be quite so mean as she left. After all, he probably did not know the kind of horror he had unleashed. Perhaps some vampires took better to the killing then others, but she absolutely loved it. No need to rub it in his face he had made such a monster.

She rubbed her face to check if she had any blood dripping down she did not yet notice before coming back to him. "Thank you," she said, her voice dark and silky. "But I've always been a bit of a loner." She looked across the rooftops far away. "Maybe I'll stop by for a visit." That wasn't very likely, and even if she did she would probably be more willing to notice his pride with annoyance and awaken her male hating habits. No, best to not taint her turning with that sort of thing. "Until then, goodnight." She spoke a few more words and vanished, using blink to get much further away from him on other rooftops and going at a run.

It was a long way to Balefire, and she was thinking off good places to hide from the day on the way there.

She was gone. Did he even get her name? Ha, of course not. This woman didn't care about Allaer. Nobody could when they were like that, a slave to their own desires. Of course, what was a better way to live? Allaer turned his head to the sky to check the time. It hadn't been that long since the sun fell under the horizon. Yet his night was already compromised and the rest would probably be spent doing unpleasant things.

He casually jumped off the roof and walked over to the body. He crouched over the body and checked it for a pulse on the neck and wrist. "Yep. You're dead." Allaer said, his voice grown cold and monotone. With easy movements, he picked the body up and threw it over his shoulder. Standing back up, he turned down one direction of the street. He was in no rush now. He had all the time in the night for this.

He had walked past a few people, but they mostly ignored him. If he wasn't bother to hide anything than he obviously didn't do anything wrong, or he was immensely stupid. Neither was true of course, just this was the best course of action. One fool did try to stop him and ask him what was going on, Allaer simply delivered a strong punch to his stomach before walking off.

Allaer arrived at his destination, he looked the large lit building up and down before walking around to the back of it. Door.... door... where was the door. Ah, there it was. With a single lantern hanging over a bolted wooden door, this section was darker than the rest of the building and hurt his eyes less. That wasn't really the point, though he did prefer it to the rest of the building. Allaer rapped his knuckles on the door and readjusted a body on his shoulder. The only response was slot on the door opening up for someone to look through. "What do you want?" The voice was obviously demanding, yet Allaer's face was stern and his voice completely serious.

"I'd like to speak with the Guard Captain."
