Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Erus walked through the ruins, admiring the architecture that had been designed and built so many years ago. It was absolutely gorgeous. He had never seen something so magnificent, so lustrous, so... perfect. It reminded him of many things. First, of his mother, radiant, beautiful, irreplaceable. Second, of the village elder who was like a father to him, tall, worn down through time. Last, of time itself, this place showed that time is the only murderer that none will avoid. It will tear you apart, piece by piece, stone by stone.

Erus climbed a nearby pillar and sat on top of it. It was thick with ivy, so the jagged, time-scarred stone did not bother him at all. A mere thirty feet away a small creature ran by. It was swift but no where near lightning fast. Erus cast lightning at the creature, roasting it. He was starved after the long journey he had just trudged. So he left the creature there and went to go gather some firewood. Upon returning to the new found campsite Erus found that the creature was being ripped apart by a hog. Surely, you would know that one does not eat what another slaughters. That simply shows how weak you truly are. Erus zapped the swine, paralyzing it. He was sure to make this thing pay for ruining his previous dinner plans.

As he approached the swine, he crouched looking into its eyes. They were filled with terror as the gleam of an unsheathed sword approached ran across their vision. Poor vermin. You can not be that terror stricken, thou hast practically asked for this dark reckoning. He laughed as the blade slid smoothly onto the pigs throat, not yet cutting the flesh. Rest in peace, fowl creature. In an instant, the pigs bloody severed head fell on the the ground. Well, Erus thought, I see that I now have even better dinner plans than before. He laughed then set up the fire, impaled the pigs body, and put it over the flames.

The hogs leg was delicious. Possibly the best he'd ever eaten. A shadow neared, he thought a was alone. Apparently these ruins were filled with alot more than vermin.
