| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

The zombie took a minute to think about it. Master of Necromancy... "They say that the true masters of Necromancer are the Necro Lords... to the point of forsaking themselves into Undeath to achieve true immortality and great dark powers." Evals said and walked away from Sebastian and looked out the window next to the door. "The 'truest' of the immortals they say is the Lich. Yaksha was a Lich but he has been removed from existence... Graham was one as well. I'm not sure where Graham went though. As for Vampire Lords, there was Blake and Jaka... and I've yet to hear of the rise of any predominant Phantoms." She shook her head and turned back to the Frost Gensai. "I'm afraid I don't know where you can find one. I'm also afraid I wouldn't be the best of teachers myself, either." She shrugged and waited for him to leave. Would she hear from him again once he left with this knowledge? She'd probably make sure of it. As for when Sebastian did leave, "I wish you luck in your tournament fights." Would be all she said before he left. |

Sebastian simply nodded, digesting the information he had been given. He wasn't sure what to make of what he had been told, but he understood. Information on liches had been the most predominant in his quest for power. In fact, an abandoned library in the city, nearly destroyed in the attack, had proven to be one of his most useful sources of information. He had crated nearly 40 ancient tomes back to Striberg and spent the year studying them vigorously. In this time, his cult's personality had changed. The face of his idol had changed. Sebastian's fascination had become no longer revolving about devils and the Hells, but undeath and necromancy. It seemed more efficient, and safer. His only problem now was dealing with his cultists once his ascension was completed. The ascension itself was the difficulty. It became evident to Sebastian in his studies that the ritual of becoming a lich was something that the old citizens of Taras had not wanted known. Every tome that outlined the lich, a magician who had severed his own soul from his body, had any pages discussing the ritual of ascension torn out, erased, or smudged out. "Thank you, Evals Gottschalk," Sebastian said, closing his eyes; his mind was ticking furiously, and would be until his recovery was complete. "I will see to it that I do not disappoint you." "I wish you luck in your tournament fights," Evals said as Sebastian left the building, and Sebastian gave the girl a gesture of salutation before gently closing the door. |
