| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Gage could not help but to smile with pride at the man's praise. Despite his dislike for the youth and his attitude, he clearly knew how to appreciate a well-made weapon. He threw aside his old blade, picking up the newly made katana with an expression that bordered on reverence "A blade will only stay sharp if its master cares for it. Make sure to hone it with a whetstone and oilcloth." Zenjirour did not seem to even hear the words; the youth sheathed the katana and threw a bag of metal coins onto his worktable, leaving the forge with a wide grin. Gage paused in his work, letting the greaves fall back to the anvil. He walked over to the table, pulling off his thick leather gloves to count the gold and silver coins inside. His eyes bulged; he had been paid triple the normal amount for such a simple working. "I hope you're planning on sharing some of that money with your employer. We usually don't allow private contracts." The blcksmith snorted as his boss, a hulking giant of a man named Noyval, approached him with a broad grin. Gage slipped a few of the golden coins out of the purse, slipping them into a pouch on his belt before throwing the rest of the money to the other artisan. "Gage, I was only joking. That sword was a masterpiece. I'm sure Lumi would forgive you for keeping a little more for yourself." The blacksmith shook his head resolutely. "I have no real need for money here. This will be enough for me to fund a project or two of mine in my free time..." He chuckled as Noyval grumbled that none of his workers should have any free time, well-accustomed to the man's ribbing after working under him for almost a month. Gage frowned as he pulled the thick leather gloves back over his hands, turning back to the anvil./ "Sangue Lupo... I wonder what it means." Noyval looked at him inquisitively, and Gage realized the comment would have been enigmatic to anyone but him and Zenjirou. "That is the name that Zenjirou chose for the katana. Sangue Lupo." Noyval's grin faded slightly. "It means the Bloody Wolf, Gage. An appropriate name for a weapon... and especially the one who wields it." Tossing the full purse into the air and catching it, the brute turned to return to his own workstation, whistling under his breath. Gage stared at the graves on the anvil for a long moment, his grey eyes unreadable. Bloody Wolf.... Moving with glacial slowness, he picked up his tools. After a minute he bent back over his work, trying to put the wetboy -and his new, deadly sword- out of his mind. Edited by Mist, Wed Jul 20, 2011 5:07 pm.
