Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Alec and five other men sat in the back of a large wagon. It could've fit more but only this group was being sent out. Four horses drew the wagon in front. A group of low ranking Guards, Milites as Alec came to call them. Johan was talking to Luke about how this division operated more like a military battalion than a bunch of guards. He was speaking jokingly and Luke thought about it and half heartedly agreed. Scip and Mark were trying to play a game of cards on a crate they pulled back from the front, but every now and again a bump in the road would sent most of the cards onto the floor. Alec sat there and thought most of the ride. Occasionally exchanging a word with the Captain, Herald, who sat across from him.

They were going to break into some building. The details they were briefed on was that the place was part of the black market and they were to capture all the people inside and bring them in. Behind their person-carrying wagon was another one, empty of people besides it's driver. Self explanatory what it would be used for. Lethal force would only be used when absolutely necessary, even so they would be going in with their weapons ready to kill. People that did this kind of stuff usually think they could get away if they fight back, or they were just desperate.

After a while, the wagon stopped. Alec nudged his elbow out to wake up Johan who had fallen asleep a few minutes ago. They were hear. The captain gave a few final words about valor, additional instructions and reminders. The Captain probably thought the highlight was the valor, the group knew otherwise. They each got out of the wagon and stepped into order. Johan, Mark and Luke stood in front. They had polearms. Behind them were the Captain, Alec and Scip. Within moments, Mark had broken down the front door and they went inside with their polearms ready. The other three follow inside.

Vyse had been hunting this group of blackmarket felons for a while, people connected with his father were sure to have that blasted pill with them. Drawing his blades, he readied himself for battle, he had staked out this place plenty of times, there was a small door in the back of the building, it was obviously meant to evacuate out the back, it was small and they had a crate blocking it, he could move it but it'd make quite a bit of noise. He pulled open the door slowly, he didn't want to give away his position already.

At the moment he placed his shoulder to the small crate to push, he heard doors slam open, he had to hurry, they were either moving or someone was raiding the place, either way the pills could make it to the wrong hands. Shoving against the crate with all his might, he moves it just enough to squeeze past, blades and all. He could see armored men fighting the blackmarket men, he smirked, this was all to perfect, he could show the guard proof of his father's crime.

He readied himself, he couldn't kill these men while they were here, non-lethal attacks would have to do. Vyse gathered his strength in his legs, dashing forward, smashing hilts of his blades against the heads of two different men, shouting out, "Allies have come to help the guard! Fear the Noclan!" He knew his roar and battlecry would stun some of them, people who worked for his father did end up learning about him and how he slaughtered their men like pigs. His blades worked fast, slapping with the flats of his blades against faces and only cutting the arms to try and disable his foes.

Kilad had been staying in a humble inn across the street from a large warehouse, which, having spied on the location over the course of a few days, he suspected of housing illegal substances. He knew that building was being guarded around the clock by more men than he could possibly handle, so he had no intention of storming the place alone, knowing full well that he would be cut down on the spot if he tried something so foolhardy. Fate would have it, though, that one bright afternoon while the Tiefling once again stared out the window of his room he witnessed a racketing caravan pull up to the warehouse's front side. A half dozen armed men stepped out of the wagon, their shimmering uniforms and pole arms clearly identified them as guards of the city.

With such a fortuitous opportunity presented, the young man could not just sit back and watch the events unfold. He felt compelled to aid the valorous party, so he quickly pulled his palladian blue tabard off the rack and fit his head through it so it lay over his shoulders. He found and put on his cerulean headband, pushing his burnt sienna hair out of his effeminate face. He then strapped on his burnt umber gladiator sandals, pulling the tethering up and around his calves, and grabbed his short-bow and quiver filled with arrows off the wall prior to rushing our the door, which slammed behind him. Kilad raced determinedly through the hallway, down the stairs, and through the lobby before erupting from the inn's front door out onto the road. The Tiefling slung the quiver over his back, grabbed an arrow, and notched it in his bow while he crossed the street. The door had already been busted down, and all the guards had rushed inside, so Kilad quickly followed to see how he might help.

Once Alec was inside, he had his sword drawn. Him, Scip and the Captain used swords. It was mainly to offer some variety to their group. His buckler was on his other arm. There were only two people inside this room. They were surrounded quickly by pole-arms. One had a weapon with small amounts of cheap armour and another was wearing a nice pair of clothing. Looks like they were discussing something but now they had lethal weapons pointed at them. Before the Captain could move inside the area, the man with a weapon dropped something on the ground that made a loud explosion. A small amount of white smoke wafted away from him.

The rest of the building was probably alarmed at this point. Other explosion sounds could be heard ringing as the message was carried. They were being invaded and now they would escape. The Captain gave Alec and Scip an order to check out the next room. Try and find people before they could get anywhere. After going through the door they almost ran into a bunch of people carrying weapons. They were outnumbered two to one now. "Captain!" Scip shouted as they held up their swords to defend themselves.

Before anything else could happen someone came up behind the group. Two of the men were knocked out by someone behind them. Taking the opportunity Alec swung his sword and cut off the hand of one of the remaining men, the hand that held the weapon. Scip tackled one and smashed his head against the ground. Alec turned to look at the person that showed up. "Civilian! If you're wish us, we appreciate the help but understand that we are in charge here." Alec stated and noted his weapons. He looked back as Scip was tying up the man who was bleeding profusely from the wrist. Johan had entered the room now, with his pole-arm ready. More people were coming in their direction. Scip had moved to the unconscious men and started to tie them up in-case they woke up.

Back in the first room, Mark and Luke had just finished tying up the two men when Kilad entered the room. Mark dragged them across the floor and haphazardly threw them in a corner while he waited further orders. The Captain had sent Johan into the next room and stepped in front of the man who had followed them in. Sword drawn. "Woah there. What're you doing?" He questioned the man, it wasn't optional to answer.

He smirked, as if he'd really take order, but he might as well give them lip service, better to act like you're appeasing them and then going behind their backs to do what they won't. "I understand, lemme guess, don't kill if I can?" He already knew the answer as he moved forward, stilling uses his flats to bludgeon his foes into the ground, his strikes were swift and hard as they flowed from one enemy to the other, disarming if he could, otherwise the flats meet the sides of their heads, sometimes slashing some of their arms, a little bit of blood can cause them a lot of panic sometimes, and that would make them open.

He swiftly moved around after dealing with two foes, the flats of his blades started smashing against those that were already fighting, he took special care not to come close to hitting a guard, if he did there could be hell to pay. That's when he felt something bite into his back, he turned to look at a man holding a dagger, the fool had slashed him in the back, that would only end poorly for him. His eyes widened, he could feel it coming... his Bloodwrath. With a roar he turned on the man, his style changed from flowing strikes to rapid thrusts and slashes at neck height. The man barely had time to dodge one thrust as Vyse's other blade slashed at him, a long streak of blood poured out of the wound, the man would be dead in seconds. "None can kill the Noclan!" He bellowed as he went to fight others, even with his wound bleeding, he felt nothing, for 'None could kill the Noclan'.

Kilad stepped on the smashed door while entering the warehouse, his short-bow’s string drawn to his right ear, phthalo green eyes scurrying the premises for any sign of danger. Two of the guards that he had seen from the window were in the process of tying two guilty-looking men with rope. Once they were restrained, one of the guards dragged and dumped them into a shadowy corner. Meanwhile, another guard, appearing to be the leader of the squad, valiantly stepped forward with his sword drawn and questioned Kilad for his surprising presence.

The Tiefling took slow, cautious steps farther into the room and stopped about a dozen feet away from the inquisitive man. He kept his arrow trained on the spot in between the man’s eyes. “What am I doing here?” Kilad repeated. Suddenly, he shifted his bow arm to the right and released an arrow. Thrang sang the bow string while the missile whistled, cutting through the air over the captain’s left shoulder and into the skull of a skinny thug, who had been hiding and was at that moment sneaking up on the captain’s back. The criminal dropped dead instantaneously. The arrow plunged through his right eye into the brain; blood leaked out of both ears. A dagger chimed as it fell out of the man’s hand and hit the floor.

“Evidently, a f**king good job.”
